This place used to be great, really delicious bar food. We used to come often. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped precipitously since it first opened and now we almost never come.
The ambiance is ok, though there are way too many televisions for my taste. The bar itself is beautiful, and the outdoor area is great on chilly nights.
Beer selection is ok, focused mainly on European beers with an American craft beer here and there. Prices are on the higher side. Food is decent, but again fairly overpriced. It's just one of those places that could be great, but doesn't quite hit it. I'd recommend the Tap House in downtown Hampton or County Grill on Mercury Blvd over this any day.
Review Source:Diverse tap selection from England, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and more. Â They have ciders on tap too including Magners. Â Because I'm a germaphobe, before I could even ask, one of my co-workers informed me they clean the tap lines regularly which I very much appreciate.
It's a 3 sided bar w/ several bartenders (almost all of them female). Â We have always been quickly and courteously greeted upon sitting down and no one has ever waited for a refill on anything regardless if we are sitting at the bar or on the patio (granted the patio will have slower service esp on a weekend night).
The food is actually not bad at all, way better than "standard pub fare". Â The whisky sauce chicken is cooked well. Â Moist w/o raw, thoroughly cooked w/o being dried out. Â Pro-tip: ask for extra whisky sauce on the side for dunking. Â You'll thank me later. Â A friend of mine ordered the fish and chips and it's a no joke giant piece of white fish. Â Delicious batter too, crispy, not mushy. Â Fries are steak fries, wide and rectangular. Â They reminded of the kind you can get at the grocery store in a frozen bag but these guys tasted fried, not baked.
On Monday nights they have an event called "Steal the glass" where if you order a select beer, you get to keep the branded glass. Â I got the New Belgium goblet(?) this way. Â Great week day happy hour prices on apps too.
Parking is super easy in the giant Target lot.
This is a nice English pub feeling place, with a great beer selection, decent wine list and a full bar. Â The food portions are large and the food is above average. Â I have not had the standard English food that they server (fish & chips, bangers & mash, etc) but I have had the chicken sandwich and the pizza, both were good. Â I had the buffalo wings, but they were a little rubbery. Â The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and on Mondays they have a band play, which is a nice touch. Â My customers are always happy when I bring them to Park Lane.
Review Source:We were just wandering around the town center here when we were looking for a snack and some great drinks. I was expecting just pub food but to our surprise they had Sushi appetizers! While it is not exactly pub fare, it was good for me being a health food nut. I think it is because this bar is trying to appeal to not just Pub goers, but to the yuppy trendy crowd as well.
The beer selection was mind boggling! It took me a while to settle on just one. Â I'm not a huge beer fan, but they did have a couple that I have liked in the past.
Went with a few friends Saturday night for my first time. Ordered a few beers and they were pretty good. Ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich as well. It was greasier than other versions I've had (I know it's fried, but come on). I enjoyed how there was a Humongous beer selection. I would definitely come back again.
Review Source:Decor is amazing. Looks like an authentic British pub. Ordered the fish and chips...what better way to grade an English pub. Thick fish, well cooked with a crispy batter. Washed it down with a Boddingtons. What a huge beer selection. Only ate here once so far but will definitely be back. Minus a star for booths that weren't very comfortable. Felt like a chasm between me and the table.
Review Source:I've always been a little wary of this place, Â maybe because of the unseemly tiny kilts they make their lady servers wear. Either way, it's a cool atmosphere, a really cool bar and the food is decent, verging on good.
The bar stands as the singular architectural element of the entire place. It's rounded and takes up about 70% of the inside. It looks the way a trendy European bar should.
The beer menu is extensive, and a tad confusing. It's broken down by region/country  when I feel like it should be  broken down by style. I had a very healthy pour of Hoogaarden and ordered the caesar salad for lunch.  My dining companions had the fish n chips and Shepard's pie.  Both were super impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. My caesar was okay, the salmon I ordered on top of it was perfectly seasoned and cooked.
The service was a little slow and not terribly friendly, but it's a bar at lunch, I'm not sure anyone loves that shift. I'd like to come back and try it at night, preferably around those firepits they have outside.
GREAT beer selection. Â The menu seems decent although I am a vegan so I'm used to being limited. Â I had the portobello burger and the staff was very accommodating not to include butter on the bun. Â My husband says the fish and chips are good and he's picky as he compares all fish and chips to his experiences in England. Â
The restaurant is a little too big to provide a real European pub-like atmosphere, but is always busy anytime I go. Â It takes a little longer than it should to get service, maybe should consider more waitstaff. Â The outdoor patio with firepits are wonderful for after dinner drinks and convo or even while your'e waiting for a table.
My husband and I had a wonderful time there last night! Â We had excellent customer service! Â The Chicken and chips dipped in the sweet red chili sauce was absolutely delicious! Â My husband also enjoyed the fish and chips very much. Â Their spinach artichoke dip with pita triangles by far surpasses the other chain restaurants. Â It is loaded with flavor and thick with cheese! Â Huge beer selection from around the world and great cocktails!!! Â Wouldn't ask them to change a thing!
Review Source:After an afternoon of exploring Fort Monroe (moats are awesome) we found our way to Park Lane. Â Truth be told my in-laws had this trip in mind just to come to the tavern. Â So there was some expectations of a good to great experience. Â We parked on the backside of the restaurant which gave us a good look at their patio on the way to the front door. Â They have a couple of firepits running out there as well as a few heat lamps, but on this evening the patio was empty, too chilly. Â
We were seated right away, and were able to switch to a booth when one came available shortly after sitting down. Â The menu is largely a collection of pub food with a few eclectic items mixed in. Â Amongst our group of 4 we ordered the jagerschnitzel, shepherds pie, fish and chips and chicken panini. Two of us ordered bitberger (beer) but our server returned a minute later to say they had run out. Â Damn my German meal derailed. Â Â Luckily they have plenty of beers available and was able to find one of my favs, Boddingtons. Â
The Schnitzel comes doused in a heavy mushroom sauce with sides of kraut, warm potato salad, and green beans. Â The pork itself was not prepared traditionally as it appeared to have been deep fried and was coated in panko. Â But it hit the spot nonetheless. Â I had a small taste of the shepherds pie, and that was very tasty. Â
The price might be slightly steep but in my opinion this place lived up to the expectations set for by my in-laws. Â Will return when I'm in the area.
I love this place! The boyfriend & I stop every time we are heading up to Busch Gardens. We even tried to stop on our way back (twice in one day!) a few weeks ago. We always sit at the bar & enjoy a few snake bites before ordering. My favorite is their "Chicken, apple, & brie" sandwich...yum! Can't wait to go back.
Review Source:Okay, lets get it straight...the 4 stars is based mostly off the food I've had there, the beer/drink selection, and the atmosphere of the joint.
By and by...I'd call the food above average. Â Not great food...above average. Â It's a tavern. Â Don't expect miracles. Â I have to say that I'm a fan of the shepherds pie. Â The club sandwich is good also, as are are the bangers and mash. Â
I first came here being told it was a  great place for beer.  Now...maybe I'm spoiled...but being from San Diego...you tell me a place is great for beer...I think a beer selection numbering into the 30s, if not more.  Yeah...not teh case here, but the selection is decent.  They do have some of their selections on a rotating basis...so some of them are hit and miss.  Lately, they have not had one of my favorite beers here...the bourbon barrel stout.
Service at the bar is hit and miss...peak hours you'll feel neglected. Â The bar has a center island that runs most the length of the bar itself, with seats all the way around it, as the bar sits in the center of the very open floor plan. Â I've literally had bartenders from the opposite side come over and serve me once they've spotted me from afar with an annoyed look on my face that the bartender six feet away from me isn't even looking over the crowd to see who needs something. Â Can be annoying at times.
Table service is usually pretty good.
There are *some* TV's located around the place...36 inches max...for your viewing pleasure. Â An arrange of ESPN, ESPN2, and the like are usually what's playing, but very few seats are in good spots close enough to view the games...football Sunday is probably better served at the local Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings.
But, being located fairly close to where I live...the food is good, the drinks are reasonable, and the staff is friendly enough to make this a regular hang out...what can I say...I like the style of the place.
I thought this place was awesome. Â The inside decor is so cool. Â Gives you a nice English pub feel. Â The beer selection is AWESOME, but what really set it apart was the service. Â It's one thing to have a great selection, but it's another to have staff that knows the selection well. Â Our server made some AWESOME recommendations.
We got the fried pickles as an appetizer, and those were fantastic. Â Opted for the fish and chips as an entree and was not disappointed. Â I'll definitely return here.
We met friends for dinner at Park Lane Tavern while we were out of town. In a word, "meh."
If you are a beer enthusiast, this is your place. The on tap menu is extensive and has interesting beers from all over the world and includes craft and large breweries. The beer list was quite impressive.
The food was okay. Husband enjoyed the fish and chips. I had a salad with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, basil and dressed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was okay.
The problem with the place was how loud it was. We were inside and it was loud. the music was loud and we had to shout at each other to be heard. There was a party there that had clearly been over served. They were "woo hoo" ing and shouting and yelling. It was horrible. The worse part was that the staff seemed to be encouraging the behavior. Perhaps it was because it was a Friday night but it was way to loud to enjoy.
The local group we were with thought this was the best place ever. We found other places in Hampton that had actual local seafood and served good food. We have family in this area and will be back in the Hampton area. We won't go back to Park Lane.
This place is very average. Its lucky its in Peninsula Town center otherwise it would barely be making it by.
Service- 3. We were seated within 3 min and our order was taken within another 5 min. Our server ( a young man, dont remember his name)came to check up on us once the whole time. He was nothing special , Â but not bad either.
Scene: Nice irish pub kinda scene. It has a big bar in the middle and ample seating. Its a nice place to chill with friends after work.
Food- 2 I got their bavarian pretzel as an appiteizer- for $8 ( i think?), it was very little food- three sticks of a pretzel that was nothing special... it tasted like something you would get off of a nyc manhattan road-side stall. It came with two different dipping mustards- a spicy and sweet mustard- not too good.. Roomie and i got the burbon chicken for entree. The sauce that it came doused in was pretty good and so was the accompanying asparagus, but the chicken was DRY. It seemed as if the chicken was warmed up in a microwave and then boiled in sauce. The dryness was really a buzzkill for me.
Drinks: they have TONS of beer on tap , and almost any other liquour you can find. Their wine menu is really good too- they two sweet whites- resisling ( semi sweet) and a very sweet fruity moscato.
Location: Couldnt be better- just a jump, skip and hop away from Cinebistro. We went bowling right after which was fun :)
Too expensive for food thats not worth it.
I was here on a Sunday evening recently and was pleasantly surprised to see that the place was bustling. Â We sat at the bar and ordered some delicious beer that I had never heard of, after the bartender let us try several samples. Â Then we had the traditional bangers and mash, one of my favorite pub food dishes. Â The fennel sausage was great: but the mashed potatoes really stole the show, they were melt in your mouth wonderful. Â
My only kind of ick moment was with the servers, they were not overly friendly and not moving super fast, but we still had a a good time. Â Would definitely go there again and try some other beers and dishes.
I'm not usually a fan of the European pub scene, but this place is a fun time. Went here on a Saturday night with 7 people and wait was only 15 minutes. Good service - lots of checking in from the servers - but food seems to take quite a long time to arrive.
Not a big menu, but good variety. I had the turkey club sandwich, which was big and tasty. If you are like me and don't like potato chips, ask for french fries instead of their standard tavern fries. They have some of the best fries I've ever had: soft yet crisp steak fries, well seasoned with salt and pepper...dipped in tartar sauce=heaven. My friend said drink menu was good, but pricey. They offer flights and you can sample before you buy, according to the server.
Next time I eat here, I want the king table! Near the restrooms, 8 regular chairs plus two gigantic super fancy king-looking chairs on the ends. Outdoor patio looks awesome too. No problem splitting checks.
I've been wanting to go to this place for a while. Â I love British food and pubs in general. Â The food here is more like British/American fusion. Â Their beer selection is top notch. Â They also have a sampler platter for their beers, and I highly suggest it if you can't decide. Â I've read other reviews of poor service - I haven't experienced it yet, but then again - I live on the other side of the tunnel. Â
For me, if I'm on this side of the tunnel, this is where I want to eat!
Definitely a pretty cool place to hang out. Typical pub with a little bit of an upper end feel and fitting being that it is located in the Peninsula Town Center. Rolled in here on Saturday night after bowling a bunch of gutterballs at the Cinebistro up the street. I honestly cannot remember all that happened here...LOL.
I do recall seeing a very extensive beer menu (but if you know me I already knew what I wanted). Our waitress was very friendly. Their cheese nachos were the bomb and quite addicting. They used regular chips instead of nacho chips. The place had a bunch of locals but it was already around midnight so the big crowd had already moved on for the evening. If I were to guess this place gets a pretty good crowd early in the evening. I was hoping for more people since it was Saturday night...
That's the best I can give you but I definitely recommend giving the place a shot.
One cool thing that happened here was that I saw two dudes rolling dice so I had to get in on their action...
Went here for the first time last night with a couple of my roommates; they had been here back when it was called "The Pub," so I had a basic idea of what to expect. Â One thing I was very impressed by was the alcohol selection... which is to be expected I guess, but they still had a very large selection on tap, as well as diverse choices of scotch and whiskey. Â
The food was good; I got the crab and balsamic portabellas, which were pretty good (even though I'm not a huge fan of portabellas). Â Everything my friends got looked good (fish and chips for one, and a huge turkey sandwich for the other). Â Their menu isn't huge, but they do have a good variety of English-inspired dishes.
The atmosphere in here was really nice; the different types of places to sit out are really spaced out... i.e. there are tables that aren't right by the bar, there's an outdoor seating area with a couple of fire pits, etc. etc. Â It was loud, as is expected on a Friday night, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't listen to each other's conversation.
I don't normally come to this section of Hampton that often, but knowing this restaurant is here, and knowing that it's pretty good, I'll have to make more of a habit of it!
Maybe it's just because this place is in walking distance from my apartment but my husband and I go here A LOT! and every time we get amazing, friendly, service. They have a large selection of beers on tap, with new beers every week, that they are more than willing to let you try before you buy. I always like to sample the new beers that come in but generally I stick with a Bell-haven Twisted Thistle from Scotland. Their food menu isn't very large but they do have some huge killer sandwiches that will fill up any grown man.
This year they started a mug club, which I bought for my husband. For $50 you get your own 24oz mug that you can fill at the regular beer price and half off chicken wings for you and anybody at your table. So if you like beer and chicken wings like we do, this is a pretty sweet deal.
Also hit this place up on a Monday night and you will be able to leave with a new glass. It's Steal the Glass night! Every Monday they have a new beer that they feature and if you order that beer you can go home with the corresponding beer glass. We recently got the coveted (at least in my husbands opinion) Stella Artois glass.
The only real downside to this place is that you really have to place yourself in front of a tv to watch a game, they aren't completely readily available.
Ok, where are the reviews for this place? Is it new or something?!
I really dig Park Lane. I LOVE the old-English atmosphere and decorations. I LOVE the mismatched, comfy, heavy wood-and-leather chairs. I LOVE the gigantic circular booth where we sat. I REALLY LOVE the huge, amazing carved-wood bar, and I REALLY LOVED the nice clean bathrooms.
Suffering from a sore throat (darn you Virginia and your "people can still smoke in bars" law) I also REALLY LOVED my drink- the "Chocolate Covered Cherry", which was basically a hot cocoa with Godiva liquor, raspberry liquor, and whipped cream with (of course) a cherry on top! I REALLY LOVED it so much I had two!
As far as the food goes they have  a nice selection on the menu. Appetizers (standard pub fare), soups & salads, sandwiches (including a fabulous Monte Cristo and the most divine chicken sandwich with apple slices and big hunks of brie), and entrees (steak and such).
The wings are good although I kind of scoff at people who order wings in a place like this.. but, they ARE tasty. A tiny bit small, but tasty.
The "firecracker shrimp" could have been more spicy, and maybe come with more shrimp and less jalapenos, but overall good.
The "pulled pork sliders" have too much bread and the pork is a bit fatty and OMG I HATE bread & butter pickles, but that's just me-
And those are the only downsides I found to this fine establishment.
I also really like their current promo where you can try a couple of new drinks (like Maker's Mark 46) and keep the nifty-looking glasses or snifters they're served in. Sweet!
Came here after traveling from Chicago to the Hampton area for a fun-filled weekend. The beer selection was amazing...almost so expansive that I didn't even know where to start. As I appeared confused, I had the help of the bartender who asked what I normally drink (Blue Moon). She gave me three samples of beer to try, and I settled on the Hoegaarden, a beer from Belgium. That, and the infamous Pub burger and I was in heaven. But before I got too comfy, my joy was taken to a whole other level as there was a fried pickle on my plate with my fries....and I may not have yelped it previously, but Im a sucker for a pickle.
I agree with Jake K. in that the TV's are in odd places, as is where the live music is, I could see neither from my seat, but then again, I was more focused on the beer, food and my company. The live music was also great, not so loud that it was intrusive and not so bad in song choices that you would be bashing your head on the wall...
Came here with a large group after a staff ride to a battlefield. Â Great time to be had by all. Â I would certainly venture here again if I'm ever down in the area.
Pros: Â Great beer selection - TONS of drinks to wet your whistle with. Â Food selection is solid - although some dishes are hit or miss. Â Waitresses are cute - they also turn beautiful after two full draughts of the Oktoberfest.
Cons: Â There are TVs but they tend to be at odd angles - the shape of the bar bisects the room so you can't always watch multiple games at once if you want. Â As I mentioned before, some of the food is solid, but some is meh - like the Italian schnitzel. Â Das ist nicht gut.
All hype but nothing to show for. This place is always packed only because it's good for only one thing, drinking beer. Everyone I know seemed to rave about this place so my expectations were set pretty high from the get. Once I was actually there with friends however, it felt like a whole different restaurant than what everyone else seemed to have said.
The atmosphere is loud and it seems like everyone is having fun. I guess its because there is a huge wrap around bar right in the middle of everything. The crowd is just hanging around that area. We ended up sitting at a high round table next to that bar and boy was that table small! There was no place to put anything.
We ended up getting a few stuff off the menu and they were okay. Nothing special about it. Their food menu is not extensive or impressive either. So dont expect anything grand. However, their beer selection is great! They even have an option to have a test tray with 6 different beers on a shooter. I would definitely suggest that if you are there to try different European beers. The price is a bit pricey for those beers, but i do give them props for having Kronenbourg 1664 in stock!
Over all, I wouldnt come back here unless someone wanted to have drinks on them. Ha!
Never going here for food again!!
Not to piggy-back on other reviews, but YES I have gotten sick after eating here on more than one occasion. Â Unless you order beers, it seems like the bar tenders are just guessing as to what and how much booze to put into a cocktail. Â I had the bartender "try again" one night and watched as they pour waaay to much sweet and sour in my beverage.
Unless going strictly for tap beer and appetizers, Skip this place as all costs.
My husband and I decided to check out The Pub while out shopping the other day. It was busy, but then again it was the day before a holiday and lunch time. We were seated quickly and our waiter was at our table within a reasonably amount of time as well. Since it was lunch time, we passed on alcohol, so I can't comment on their quality. Although, I did like their beverage menu with descriptions of their beers and wines.
My husband and I both had the classic fish and chips. I was expecting a couple small pieces of fish and was surprised to find that the dish is served with one huge piece of fish. The fish was pretty good, but I did have a bit of trouble figuring out how to attack the large piece. The fries, or "chips" were good. I would have preferred them not be placed under the fish as some came out soggy.
Overall decent food and a fun experience.
I've been to the Pub twice now. I vowed to never go back after the first bad experience but was suckered in again by friends.
First experience, our server was SO bad. I don't know that I've ever had a more apathetic waitress in my life. The food was nothing to write home about and the menu seemed to be on the small side. With the terrible service and the lackluster food, I vowed to never return.
Second go round was purely for drinks with friends. The bar was full so we sat at a table and had a GREAT waiter. I'm not a beer drinker, so I had two of their specialty mixed drinks. I wasn't terribly fond of either, to be honest. We ordered a few appetizers as well and while they were all tasty, the portions were a bit on the small side for sharing.
I will not look forward to my next visit, but I suppose I would go back if a friend really wanted to try it.
Ok let me start off with a disclaimer: I did not eat at The Pub, because, well British food just isn't my thing.
However, British beer is a different story, so needless to say I did drink! Which is what you should do when going to a British Pub with ridiculous amounts of british flair. The layout of the place is awesome (and is modeled after London pubs). The bar was gorgeous and the dining area was spacious. The guys wear kilts too (if you're into that sort of thing).
Our bartender was very knowledgeably about the drink list & friendly. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded and we got extra special attention. Also *added bonus* we were able to sample some of the beer before making a decision on what to drink. Â All in all it was a good experience, and I would go back again for another round of brew!
Brit-pub.
Having to meet someone before riding back up to NY, I popped in here since it was convenient to the highway. Â A pseudo-Brit pub located in Virginia is sort of odd, yet it works for some reason.
The place is big- the inside tables are plentiful, there is outdoor seating and a huge bar that can seat a lot of people.
The staff all wear kilts of various colors - which adds some pizazz to the place. Â Let me state that it is not *only* British - but as they point out on their menus - inspiration from all over the empire. Â I'm not sure if they mean the empire as it stands now, or as it stood when it was truly an empire but nonetheless you can find food items from all over the map.
The real star here though is the bar and the very, very nice selection of beers. Â Their beer menu is very well done and has decent explanations of the different types and styles of beers - and the bartender knew his stuff too. Â Bully for him.
Food was very good- we ordered a bunch of stuff and pigged before we had to roll - and it was good that we did as we didn't have to stop again until back in NY.
I would absolutely go again - and you should too!
Large parking lot available.
Went there on a Monday night with coworkers. Â We had a very nice time all drinking different tasty beers.
I ordered the dip trio, and the goat cheese dip is really good. Â Our server was great, and even offered to bring out more pita slices at no additional cost when she saw we were out and still had dip left over!
She chatted with us some, and explained everything very well. Â She even brought us samples of beers that we were considering.
I think the funny thing about this place though, is that they wear kilts...um, last I checked the British were not the kilt wearing folk. Â
I am not guessing that this is the most authentic place, but it isn't bad. Â A little bit pricey, but it has a nice feel to it and seems to be a very "happening place" weeknights and most definitely on weekends.
Went to The Pub on a Friday night with a co-worker. Â I like beer, but he's a real beer aficionado; beer is his thing. Â I told him about The Pub and said let's go and check it out.
The decor is nice; open concept, high ceilings, tables, booths, and those high top tables that I hate, by the way. Â There's a large rectangular shaped bar basically in the center of the restaurant with beer taps galore.
The place is loud and the wait is ridiculous, so prepare yourself.
All the employees in the house of the restaurant except the managers wore kilts. Yes, a little chichi, in my opinion, but, OK, I gave them the benefit of the doubt on that. Â Had never been there, but expected as such. Â Motley socks and unusual footwear ruined the whole kilt experience for me.
We went for the liberations, though. The beers are separated by countries - England, Ireland, Scotland, and so on. Â I didn't count the number of beers that they have on tap, but there's a lot. Â They have domestics in the bottle, but are you going there for domestics? I hope not. They also have an extensive list of liquors also from the UK and elsewhere. Â I would rate the drink selection a 5+.
The food is the reason why this restaurants rates a 3 in my book.
We started with the Curry Chips. Â They were simple frozen steak fries with a red and a yellow curry sauce for dipping. Â The fries were salt and peppered to death. Â The yellow sauce was watery, but tasted great. Â The red sauce was chunky and a bit astringent; didn't like that as much. Â I wonder, though, why couldn't they just cut some potatoes and make this appetizer 10 times better? Â The merry people of Hampton Roads know why...
I had the Shepard's Pie. Â Precooked ground beef/lamb dumping in a casserole with mashed potatoes, maybe some veggies (couldn't actually see or taste them) and a river of melted mozzarella cheese. Â Now, come on people! Â Doesn't everyone know how to make your standard Shepard's Pie? Mine has a bottom crust, seasoned ground beef, pearl onions and/or green peas that are covered in mashed potatoes that are then browned under the broiler. How can you make a proper English pie without at least a bottom crust? Â There is no river of cheese, is there? I don't doubt that somewhere someone is melting cheese on their Shepard's Pie, but not with mozzarella, right? Â At least give me a proper English Cheddar. Â But, I digress.
The Shepard's Pie came with a side salad; it was the bagged variety that's impossible to mess up. Â I take that back. Â It was loaded with raw red onions that I can still taste today. Â Altoids has no affect on these little babies; ate a tin full and still I can taste'em.
My buddy had the Bangers and Mash. Â He said it was OK. Â It looked fine, but, again, those damn raw onion on the side salad. Â This is the one time when portion control is a must. Those little beauties ruined his food experience too.
Would I go back? Â Sure, but not for the food. Â The beer is the real star and if you are looking for something new, something different, The Pub is a great place to have a brew, even of the cask variety. Â
Watch out, though, for the uneventful food that lists on its menu such English favorites as Shrimp Tempura, Beef/Chicken Sate, and a Jamaican Cheesecake. Â
I almost forgot that this place was supposed to be 'English'.
Cheerio!
