Ok, so the Holiday Inn girl (note I said girl, not woman) suggests this place as "the food is amazing". She forgets to tell me it's a local, somewhat biker bar, and yes, the food is close to amazing. Â Well, let's say great. Â Paid a two dollar cover, really, and well worth it when the solo guitar player started with some good ole Charlie D, Tucker and some other nuggets I haven't heard in some time. At least not in Jersey. Â So the burger, fries and beer special was special. Â Only thing was the place has only locals and it may be intimidating for some. Â Don't be afraid. Â Hoss is cool too and a good businessman and probably always there. Â You can pick out Hoss real easy. BTW, all the help are hot, busty girls in skimpy attire.
Ok, so why did I stress the Holiday Inn girl? Â Not only did she send unsuspecting me to a biker bar (good thing I didn't wear my fancy jeans!) but I saw a business woman walk in to Hoss' and immediately turn around and leave. Â I saw this same woman at the hotel an hour earlier!
Don't be afraid :)
My favorite place on the north side of HRBT. Service with a smile always, an efficient menu, plenty of motorcycle parking, and I really dig the seafood choices. Good mix of folks here. Hoss has almost perfected the "biker bar" formula, but one element is missing. Get rid of the breading on the wings and develop a super-hot wing sauce. Talk to the chef at Lendy's Cafe for ideas.
