This place simply wasn't for me. It took a long time to get in and to get a drink, maybe the place was short staffed. I also went on a night for a special event, but nothing special occured inside...AT ALL! The drinks were pricey as well and they didn't know how to make hardly any drinks. I didn't care for the crowd and any place that the police must patrol from the start of the event...ya might want to skip. Thankfully nothing happended that night, but I was told to hurry and get into the car...just in case. obviously I won't be returning here.
Review Source:Tribeca is located in the Omni Hotel in Newport News near the J. Clyde Exit on I-64. It used to be called Mitty's, but honestly I don't think much changed about the place besides the name. This is mostly a good thing. The late night scene is a lot of fun, and I've found the bartenders to be quick, efficient, and attentive. This is particularly helpful when you find yourself one drink too many and stumbling through the odd Escher art murals.
Honestly I've never eaten at Tribeca and I don't know anyone who has. It's definitely something at is typically experienced as a late night club. Fortunately, the place exceeds as this, with two levels, tons of lights and bass, and an expansive dance floor. Certainly worth checking out if you're bored on weekend nights in Newport News.
