My wife and I had lunch at Park Place today and were very pleased. I had the lemon herb chicken and it was good. Full half chicken. Their french fries are straight cut potato....no unknown coatings.... But solid and very tasty. The waitress was ultra perky and helpful. Good place...menu has numerous choices. Â Would definitely come back. Â Wish I had room today for dessert.
Don't know about their dinners, but they have lunch covered.
Looks like Yelp and others haven't updated their listings in a while.
First of all, there's no cocktail lounge. Â The restaurant closed and reopened after renovations in 2010 so I don't know what these people are reviewing. Â The photos don't seem to add anything. Â It's now a simple diner, and a darn good one at that.
We were just there for breakfast. Â The place was bustling and within seconds, easily less than 5 seconds, of being seated, we were greeted with coffee and menus. Â It wasn't just us, these waitresses are on top of everything instantly. Â We reviewed the menu for about a minute and they were again at the table asking if we were ready to order. Â Perhaps a bit too quick for some people but for me it was a refreshing change.
Coffee was refilled almost constantly and the food arrived within minuts. Â My wife had the breakfast sandwich and it was light and tasty. Â The roll was really fresh. Â I had biscuits and gravy with eggs. Â Now that seems like a simple thing that they should be able to do but while my southern roots always lead me to order this, I rarely have it served to me well. Â In this case, it was excellent. Â The biscuit was fresh and flaky. Â And they buttered and toasted it before putting on the gravy which made it not absorb the gravy on top but kep it light and fluffy throughout the breakfast. Â Something I hadn't experienced before but will definitely ask for elsewhere now that I've had it this way. Â The gravy was flavorful, the roux was done just right without too much flour. Â Simple food executed spectacularly well.
Indeed, no signs for credit cards anywhere though I did notice a Veriphone system for ccs on the hostess' desk so perhaps they do take credit cards in a pinch but everyone does seem to pay for cash.
For simple diner food, at least for breakfast, i couldn't recommend anyplace better.
I was in the neighborhood of Canandaigua again, and went here again, so I figured I would update my review.
We were seated immediately, even with it crowded.
We wanted to get In and get out of there, and it all worked out. Took a total of only 30 minutes to get our food and eat.
Once again, great restaurant, the best breakfast place in the Finger Lakes region. It is also  conveniently located next to the horse track and casino if you like going there and betting horses or playing slots.
