The house we are building is literally 25ft away so we thought we'd better try as it will probably be a "go to" once we move in. Food was ok. My chicken wrap had very little actual chicken but still tasted ok. The fries were great but the cheap parmesan was disappointing. Prices were high for being in a strip-mall in Erie. We will probably go back  because it will be close but I would not drive out of your way to eat here. Oh and our server was great but the bartender guy seemed arrogant when talking to other customers, maybe he owns it or just thinks he should.
Review Source:I have been here several times for lunch. Â I would agree with some of the other reviews in a few ways. Â First, the food has always been very good. Â Good sweet potato fries and fries in general. Â Burgers and wraps excellent. Â Service has gotten a bit better. Â I would have to say they are just not a chatty bunch in there. Â Pretty much order and they get it to you when the bell rings from the kitchen. Â I like this place, and will go back. Â Beer is cold! There is a nice selection of micro brews. Â I know this place is all about Boston, but this is Broncos land, so put up a few things,so everyone wants to come by. Â I think people feel like, if you like Boston so much, what are you doing here? Â Overall, I like it here and prices seem to be a bit better than the last few times I have been here.
Review Source:Pretty ironic to find a Boston bar in the most random Colorado town that my ex-roommate (and also bestie!) from Boston just bought a house in. I would like to say I felt at home as the walls were adorned with Boston memorabilia, but it still didn't have the feel of a Boston or New England bar. Regardless, I loved the theme and they did do a nice job with the set-up they have. My dinner of french onion soup and the goat cheese & avocado salad was really good. However, for the first time in my LIFE, and I'm assuming all of mankind's, when asking for olive oil and vinegar with a salad...........I was brought MALT vinegar instead of balsamic vinegar! I can't even be mad, it's just comical. Had to ask for the dressing. Also my cup the soup came in was cracked and broken.....not sure how they were oblivious to see this before letting a guest eat out of it. Aside from the weird service, the food was good and I'm sure it's a great neighborhood spot for my friend when she's missing me in Boston :-).
Review Source:This place is a mixed bag.
Food is decent, beer is cold, but service is all over the map. Some of the bartenders are great, friendly and attentive, and others just scowly. The owner is clearly from Boston and makes it known -- several times when I've asked for Colorado sports on the TVs I've been denied or relegated to some tiny TV in a corner. Also, I was once asked to move from the bar to a table because said owner came in with his softball team after a game and needed the seats, I guess. Ended up leaving soon after anyway since they were so loud and drunk that it was unpleasant to be there. On occasion, I've turned around and left without even going in when I realized it was UFC night.
All that being said, the food really is pretty good here. The burgers in particular are outstanding, as are the sweet potato tots, flatbread sandwiches, and soups. For "American" food in Erie, it's really either the Parkway or the CCC, and the menu at the Parkway is more interesting (the CCC has its own charm, though).
We stopped by on a whim one night and were delighted with our service. We were greeted as soon as we came in, wait staff was prompt and attentive, and the food was pretty darn good. We were there a fair time after the dinner rush, so I can't say for how it is when it's busy, but I really liked it and will be going back.
Review Source:We went back again, and let me just say... TRY THE BURGERS. And the olives were just as good as they were the first time.
There is a small-town friendliness here that you don't find in a lot of the similar establishments and it's nice to have the business owner remember you from the last time. Since I'll be in the area a lot, I know where I'll be having lunch anytime I'm around, or even close by and can find an excuse to go have a dish of fried olives.
And go next door for the ice cream!!!
Yes, we could go to Parkway, or maybe we could hug some snakes.... yes, we could HUG AND KISS SOME POISONOUS SNAKES. Parkway is seriously overpriced for Denver, let alone a strip mall in a bedroom community. The food is very bland, and not inexpensive. But these two problems pale in comparison to the service. On all three occasions that I graced them with my presence, the bartender was inattentive when he wasn't busy being outright rude. It was the same idiot all three times, so if they just fired the guy and cut all of their prices down considerably, they might not suck that bad.
I did give them an extra star because the bartender got plowed and attacked fellow Yelper Jeremy T. AND THEY DIDN'T"T EVEN FIRE THE GUY! I have to say that retaining this idiot took b@lls, and if you happen to be looking for an overpriced Guinness with the added tingle of not knowing whether or not the staff is going to try to kick your ass, this is the place for you.
Well after reading all the reviews I wanted to come in with an open mind. Â Since there are not many places here in Erie. Â Â I ordered a martini , called a Raspberry Wisp. Â It was sweet and fruity and just the way I like it. Â As far as the service I have to give a thumbs up to Jordan. Â He was the waiter and the bartender. Â I don't understand the other reviewers , our service was very good. Â Above average. Â I had the chicken wrap. Â I loved it. Â I got it with fruit. Â The fruit was ripe and also perfect . Â I will be back before I leave to los Angeles. Â Â We were never left unattainded and we ordered seconds on the drinks. Â Â I will say that they were out of the Cab. Wine thatvmy brother-in-law first ordered, but that was the only thing I can say, so I will give 4 out of 5. Â Other than that I will be back again.
Review Source:As other people have noted, where else am I going to eat in Erie. However, after going there several times with that attitude they became a bit more consistent (used to be every time I went in there they were out of something, drink or food, I wanted). At this point we have gotten to know the staff and that has helped us enjoy this place much more. IT IS A BAR. THEY HAVE BAR FOOD. Don't expect anything spectacular and you can easily go in and enjoy the food, staff and tons of tvs with tons of sports programming. They are consistently trying to make improvements. In the past several months they made major renovations indoors to add a billiards table/lounge area, patio and new menu. If they continue to focus on customer satisfaction I think my rating may go up to 4 stars in no time. By the way, now that they have the patio, they are starting to get very good live music on the weekends. Definitely a fun place to hang and have a drink.... and maybe a bite if you aren't too picky.Oh, and you can check out their ice cream shop next door too. Not too shabby.
Review Source:The food was good and fast and the atmosphere was cozy. Â The menu has a nice variety of choices and the beer selection isn't too bad for a small local place. Â Â
We had the following:
Appetizer: Spinach Artichoke Dip - more cheese than spinach with a little heat. Â It was great!
Dinner: Buffalo Chicken Wrap (with grilled chicken instead of fried) and truffle parm fries. Â The wrap had a nice balance between veggies and chicken. Â One posted said the truffle pram fries were bad, but they tasted hot and fresh to me and it had just the right amount of truffle. Â I'm guessing they may have fixed the item since the last poster went. Â
My husband had the Parkway grilled chicken on wheat. Â He was expecting a bun, but it was toasted wheat bread. Â The chicken piece wasn't quite as large as the whole piece of bread, but thats to be expected from real chicken. Â He said it was pretty good. Â He also got traded the fries for the corn/zucchini ragout. Â Its kind of like a warm veggie soup. Â It was different, but in a good way :)
For dessert we went next-door to the SnowCap (owned by the same people) and had amazing ice-cream.
Yelp says 2 stars is for "Meh. I've experienced better." and those were almost my exact words as I left. Â The "Parmesan Truffle Fries" sound really good but they don't taste fresh. Â They taste pre-made with preground parm and I couldn't taste the truffle. Â It wasn't just the fries either. They need fresher ingredients all around. Â I'll give it another try cause where else am I going to eat in Erie?
