I've been three or four times. Â Be sure to get a reservation as there's not much of a "down time" for this place. Â The fried chicken sandwich was literally one of the best sandwiches I've had in a LONG time and certainly top 5 chicken sandwiches ANYWHERE. Â
Now....down to business: Â The coconut cake is worth a drive. Â A very, very long drive. Â Yes, it's that good. Â FANTASTICLY heavy, dense cake with light as air coconut whipped cream/sour cream icing. Â Whoa. Â Bring two of your closest friends because I'd be surprised if you could finish it yourself.
It's going to be bad for my waistline that Patti's is only 20 minutes away from my home. Â Sigh. Â Where's the car keys?
My wife and I vacationed near Kentucky Lake and was advised not to miss Patti's. Â Thankfully we listened and stopped by for a late lunch. Â The food was exceptional but the desert was out of this world. Â I had the Rib-eye sandwich while my wife enjoed the Kentucky Brown Plate. Â As I said the meal was good but do't forget to save room for desert. Â Personally I can't say enough about the Butterscotch Pecan Pie and my wife was equally enthusiastic about the Chocolate Pecan Pie. Â As for the service it was second to none, thank you Nakita! Â All in all Patti's is on my revisit list the next time we visit the area.
