Great place tucked away in Pflugerville.  Marvelous ambience on the patio.  Food was tasty and just the right portions.  Service was attentive and perfectly timed.  All staff  members were gracious.  Price range was perfect for a great night out.  Good wine selection  and typical prices.  Can't wait to go again.
Review Source:One of the best meals I've had in a while. Â Easily a 5 stars. Â I ordered the fried catfish and collard greens. Â The collard greens, while maybe not traditional Southern style, were very nicely spiced. Â The catfish had a great batter and was fried at a very hot temperature. Â There were lots of other unique twists on Southern food on the menu.
The servers were super nice and let us hang out basically until the close and didn't rush us or bother us and kept refilling our water. Â The only negative was that the live music was too loud and we had to shout at each, even when sitting upstairs (the guitarist was downstairs). Â Another slight negative is that none of the desserts particularly stood out as tempting or Southern (e.g. no pecan pie, no peach cobbler) so we didn't order any dessert.
finally got around to trying this place last night with a group of friends. Â here's the good, the bad, and the ugly....
the good
beer tasting with infamous brewing. Â i do love me some beer and when it's free and cold and tasty and made by a local company it makes me super happy. Â good luck to them (i highly recommend their hijack cream ale!)
patio. Â lots of umbrella's and misters although it would be nicer if there were some shade cloth or lattice or something. Â i think in the cooler months and winter it would be muy fabuloso.
chorizo and chicken huevos rancheros enchiladas. Â dang those were good. Â serving large enough to take home half.
good beer selection on tap and otherwise. Â 'nough said.
waitress. Â helpful, free with the beer samplings to get us just the right one. Â she was awesome.
the bad
presentation of the andouille sausage and shrimp creole savory cheesecake. Â the flavor was good but what you get is a pie wedge piece that almost covers your plate and nothing else. Â it's way too much of a good thing. Â i would prefer about half that amount and a simple salad and/or veggies on the side. Â the only other recommendation on this dish would be to not process everything together so fine. Â i'd love it if you could take a bite and actually experience a hunk of shrimp or sausage.
the ugly
the main dining area upstairs. Â Â the old main entrance to the building (when it was european bistro anyway) now enters a private business so you enter pbk around the side through the patio. Â you walk inside and see the walls of the business squeezing in on the restaurant. Â you go upstairs and, voila, there it is! Â the innerds of the business!!! Â wth! Â you can literally see right down in there because it shares the high ceiling of the restaurant . Â who thought that was a good idea?!!?! Â this really caused a demotion from getting 4 stars
bottom line? Â i will probably go back but only if i can sit outside (unless they fix the ugly)
We had Dinner @ Perry's Downtown Austin on Saturday for a Nice Birthday Celebration. Â We were going to have drinks afterwards and decided to forgo downtown since we have been wanting to try the Patio @ Stem & Stein in Pflugerville. Â We get all the way there @10:30pm -- JUST for drinks NOT dinner and the Manager Guy greeted us on the Patio to tell us they were CLOSED???? Â Seriously @ 10 :30pm on a Saturday -- WILL NOT GO AGAIN! Â We could have stayed downtown for drinks! Â But we ended up trying to NEW Bar in Round Rock on main Street downtown -- Â BRASS TAP. Â GREAT ATMOSPHERE would Highly recommend. Â
Don't see this place staying open with 10:30 closing hours -- Maybe in SUN CITY!
Hours on Website say till 12am Yelp says till 11pm they need to change it to 10-10:30pm -- just saying!
This is my favorite restaurant in Pflugerville. Definitely my favorite patio. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. They have local and craft beer which you can never go wrong with. I have had a few of the signature dishes like a burger, catfish, and meatloaf. My hands down favorite is the catfish because the batter and sauce is amazing! Not the typical catfish but oh so good. The small plates are great starters for a meal or good snacks for happy hour. I dig the live music they have on the patio, usually a small 3 piece, really chill place to enjoy dinner/drinks.
I am glad there is a place closer to my area that has the 3 things I need to have a guaranteed good time: good drink selection, small plates, and music. I highly recommend this place. Also they are always coming up with some new, and I can't wait to try what's next.
Overall great casual dining experience in downtown Pflugerville. The food is excellent, the service is good, and the outdoor space is one of the best on the north side. The inside could use some upgrades, particularly the bathrooms, but I don't think it detracts from the overall presentation. Â I've been twice and I plan on coming back.
Review Source:My wife & I are NOT foodies... we enjoy a good meal in a good setting for a decent price. That's all. We have a few local places that we frequent, and are always willing to try someplace new. We have friends, middle-aged & childless like us, who will occasionally meet & check out places someone has discovered or heard about.
We've enjoyed Zed's in north Austin, until that place closed... so we've been on the hunt for another good sit-down restaurant with a good menu. Someone told me about PBK Stem & Stein, so we decided to have a mid-week dinner.
PBK's is located on the quiet end of Main Street, with plenty of parking. The outdoor patio was beautiful with it's lit fireplace, so we decided to have our dinner there. Kim, our waitress, was funny & very well informed. My wife is gluten-&-dairy free, so her menu selections are limited. We ordered a bottle of pinot grigio (25% off during happy hour) and I ordered the quesadillas... not reading the menu closely enough to see the "cheese" part. My wife couldn't eat them, but I did... and enjoyed them VERY much. The chicken was spiced perfectly, cooked nice & juicy to perfection, & the avocado dipping sauce was AMAZING. Just the right amount of jalapeno. Then Kim, seeing my wife not eating, asked if everything was alright. When I sheepishly admitted my mistake, she disappeared into the back & came out with a fresh plate of JUST the quesadilla chicken for her. THAT was an outstanding move by a good, caring waitress. That move ALONE ensured a big tip.
I was intrigued by their fried chicken & cinnamon waffles with bacon in a spicy honey glaze... while my bride ordered the grilled shrimp & scallops on a bed of couscous with a simple butter sauce with sage, garlic, salt & pepper in it. The man who invented this blend of fried chicken and thick cinnamon waffles rolling in crisp bacon is going to Hell, you understand. Anyone who can create a dish THIS decadent and gorgeous must have sold his soul... and the chef  who cooked it isn't very far behind him. AMAZING. My darling wife said that it has been a LONG TIME since she had a truly outstanding meal... and she wanted to lick the plate when she was done. The butter sauce was THAT GOOD. (I'm the cook at home, & I'm a GOOD cook... I know what a picky eater she is.)
In short, we've found our new local favorite. The place is beautiful, the people are amazing, the food is wonderful, the wine & beer list is lengthy & impressive... we're bringing our dining partners there as soon as we all have a free night together. In the meantime... my wife & I are going back VERY soon. I hear the lobster bisque is to die for. And we're asking for one of Kim's tables. :o)
OMG! This is central Texas' best kept secret!!! I am in love with this place and really wish it was closer to Cedar Park...Let me set the stage for you...
BFF Jen works in Pflugerville and I had to go out there to get something from here. I was starving and yelped to get a restaurant close by! First one...no longer exists...couldn't even find the place where it once was. Second place...also closed down. :( So now I'm thinking...damn pflurgerville! Whats up with all these places closing! We go to a third place and while they had food it was for sure more of a bar scene...across the street we see this kinda cool patio and it looks like they might serve food so like every wise person before me...I yelp the place and it looked good enough to check out...
We go inside and there are 3 plain closed people in there who are nice and attentive but because of their inexsistant uniform I almost wanted to leave but the fact that the patio was AWESOME and my starving tummy was getting the better of me so I stayed. I"M SO GLAD I DID.
The beer and wine list has something for everyone. Weather you want to spend big or small they have it all there! I ended up with an Alaskan "white" Hefiwiesen (spelling) and the person I was dinning with got the Pecan Porter!
Food; I got bacon wrapped meatloaf with the best green beans I've ever had and a parm mashed potato. This dish was excellent. The only thing that I was disappointed about is my friend Mitch got the Encheilladas (spelling??) Now I didn't think I liked them so since the very first time I've had them in Texas I've never again ordered them. His came out and had an egg on it...it looked so good I had to try a bit...
That was hands down one of the best tasting things I have EVER put in my mouth. Yum Yum Yum
We sat on the patio for a while and decided to look at what was inside and WOW the place is beautiful! Unreal! There are some tables downstairs that have curtains around them a TV with remote at the table, very private, you can either sit in there with some buddies and watch a game, Have a meeting in there or have a very romantic dinner....its pretty awesome.
Upstairs is another bar and more tables and again is very nicely put together!
I now love this place and would NOT have a problem driving the 20 min or so out of my way to go have a romantic dinner or a lunch meeting with a client who lived out there.
The idea is overdue in P'ville but this just misses the mark. Â In general overpriced, if the food was good, it would be acceptable but it isn't. Â We have been there 3 times. I am a foodie and have yet to be impressed.
Last time we went will be our last. Â We went on Spring Break for HH. Â The wine pouring is very inconsistent. Â My first glass was smaller then my friends and my second was even less. When I asked about it, Bryan (the owner) said that there was a new guy at the bar and that I should be thankful for my first glass. Â He never apologized or tried to make it right. Â
As for atmosphere, the patio is great but the inside is creepy. Â You feel like you are in and unfinished game room in someone's attic. Â The downstairs looks like a brothel with individual tables that can be curtained off. Â Not sure what they were thinking with that!
Fabulous place and delighted that we have something exceptional in Pflugerville (PF lacks any great places such as this!) Â 1st class operation from the fancy wine glasses, no paper napkins (outside), great music, Â good food, great prices....this will be our new Favorite place!
Just hope it doesn't get too popular! Â Just kidding!
JK
I have been here twice and the first time was terrible, but I thought well maybe it's because it's new. Â The second time around was only a little better. Â The first time I went the service was pretty bad, but I understand when you are trying to work the kinks out it happens. Â First I received the wrong food, then my quac didn't come out with my order. Â I was then told they were out of quac when my food finally did come out, and to top it off my food was about a C-. Â The second time I went there were 3 tables open and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. Â Hmmm. Â Then the hostess said well I guess you can sit here (one of the 3 open table that were clean). Â Our server was pleasant, but not so great. Â All of our drinks would be empty and when our server came to our table he wouldn't fill our drinks up. Â When our food arrived mine wasn't cooked. Â I ordered the butternut squash pot pie, and the squash wasn't close to being done. Â They fixed this for me and it was much better. Â Also the music was just too loud. Â I'm under 30 and I couldn't hear the person next to me speaking. Â Then when we went to order dessert they were out of what I wanted. Â Really??? Â We left at this point to go and have dessert somewhere else. Â Overall good food, not so great service, great patio area, but not so pleased that once again when I come they are out of something.
Review Source:Outstanding spot! Â Great beer and very good food. Â A dining experience that is desperately needed in Pflugerville. Good value for the whole dining experience dollar. Â Outstanding customer service and atmosphere. Bryan Gano made sure our party was properly seated - wait staff was exemplary. Â Upscale / casual for PF...but not out of reach by any reasonable stretch.
Review Source:Bryan Gano, thank you sir. Thank you for bringing this wonderful establishment to Pflugerville. The patio setting is magical & my wife and I absolutely cannot wait to come back. We were given first class service with first class food.
We ordered a bottle of Carpineto Dogajolo with our dinner and have since picked up a few bottles to add to our collection at home. Our Valentine's Day dinner was perfect. We each had the lobster bisque, fantastic!
Our second course consisted of the filet mignon with bacon wrapped scallops topped with a brown butter garlic & wine reduction, sweet potato souffle and grilled asparagus, while my wife had the halibut meuniere topped with lemon, capers and Shiitake mushrooms and au-gratin brie potatoes. As is a tradition amongst us we shared our meals with one another and I can safely say it was all fabulous. My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, and my wife's halibut was light and flaky.
We finished our meals with chocolate lava cake with a chocolate ganache sauce and fresh berries and also a key lime cheesecake with candied limes. Perfect ending to a perfect meal. We both left with huge smiles on our face and with eager anticipation to come back.
Again, thank you Mr. Gano for bringing this shining star of an establishment to Pflugerville.
I'm so happy to have a great , yummy, local restaurant minutes from our house. Â We normally go into Austin or Round Rock, but Pflugerville finally has a wonderful place for happy hours and dinners. Â The patio is great, there is always live music and the beer/wine selection are top notch. Â The food is wonderful as well!
My only wish is that they had more vegetarian options, but that is just a personal preference. The staff/chef have been very accommodating during our visits and always made modifications for us so we can't really ask for anything more. Â
Cheers to the owners, chef(s) and staff!
I'd like to order a relaxed evening of wine, music and great food please. "Yes sir, patio or inside?" Doesn't matter, because at the end of multiple visits now both venues have delivered.
Southern fusion menu that simply can't be found anywhere around this area. Double-cut pork chop, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, coconut cream pie... nothing has missed the mark.
The ambiance of the patio, fireplace, 100+ year old building, mezzanine dining... not to mention a little history of the building provided by our outstanding waiter... simply awesome experience. Can't say enough. Keep it up Pflugerville. Â Impressive.
Just what downtown Pflugerville needed!
A great patio area with outdoor dining and a bar leads into a nicely updated historic building. Â Upstairs you'll find an additional dining area and another nicely appointed bar. Â They have numerous beers on tap and plenty of wines available. Â The best aspect of the experience is the knowledgeable staff that help you make the right choice. Â Don't hesitate to ask for a taste before settling into your pint.
Locally owned and a perfect compliment to the storied Hanover's Draft House across the street, PBK Stem and Stein provides Pflugerville locals a great excuse to keep it local. Â My wife and I have been there numerous times now and we love the atmosphere.
The ever changing but always high quality draft selection is affordably priced, making PBK a stellar destination.
I have been to this place three times in the past month. Â They have a pretty decent beer selection with the majority being local choices. Â The food is damn good in my book. Â My favorite item on the menu is the Gorgonzola cheese fries tossed in buffalo sauce. Â The staff is great as well. Â This is going to be a regular spot for me from now on.
Review Source:What an awful meal we had here.
This place may be a great place to sit out on the patio and have a beer and a dip. Â But inside it is very dark and if the weather had been inclement it would have been very noisy inside. Â
We ordered the cheese and Prosciutto dip to start and ice tea. Â They both were ok. Â Then I stupidly asked for a tossed salad which is not on the menu. Â BIG MISTAKE. Â I got a plate full of argula and some tomatoes and man that was rough. Â So I gave up on that after a couple of attempts. Â My diner partner order a shrip and steak salad and again it was spinach and argula with 2 shrimp and no meat. Â
They don't have any other salad material. Â He gave up on it after a few mouthfuls. Â I got the meatloaf plate. Â The mashed potatoes were ok. Â BUT canned green beans that were slightly gray! Â Seriously? Â And a BIG piece of meatloaf that looked good until the first mouthful. Â There was so much black pepper that was all you could taste. Â Again my dining partner loves black pepper and couldn't deal with it. Â Once again spice is supposed to enchane the flavor of the food not over run it.
The whole miserable experience came to 45.00 before tip and 85% of it went into the garbage can we didn't even make an attempt to take it home.
So if Pflugerville is looking for fine dining it is in for a wait. Â That was one of the top most awful meals I have ever been served and had to pay for. Â It was AWFUL!!
Can't say much impress me about many restaurants here in Austin, TX...especially way out in Pflugerville. Â Yet food here is impressive to say the least!
Chef Rina Estero is fantastic! Â Came out and introduced herself at the table to make sure our food was to our liking. Â She came seeing empty plates if that explains it, we told her. Â Truffled fries were great. Â I usually hate truffle oil taste since it can be way too strong but enough was added to compliment the bleu cheese that came with it.
The pork belly special was great. Â Perfect cure. Â I've had my fair share of crappy "pork belly" here in Austin, TX. Â Kocuerek's Chacuterie to name one. Â It tastes like oscar meyer bacon to be exact. Â But Chef Rina's special was something else with on top of a bed of arugula that tied in with the richness of the pork belly.
Double bone in pork chop was my favorite dish. Â An easy cut of meat to overcook but was done to perfection. Â Perfect sear and compliments to the dish (forgot the sides..but it was some sort of tomato/okra nage that was fine).
All in all I really enjoyed everything. especially the hospitality and ambience. Â Great place to take someone out. Â Good price for what you get. Â Great selections of wines and local beers.
PBK hits it out of the ballpark! Living in Pflugerville, around our house, we ask each other where is the closest place in Austin to go eat? It is great to see a Pflugerville restaurant give our Austin neighbors a great reason to drive north! Food and service were top notch and would give more stars if they were available.
Review Source:Great atmosphere. Music was not too loud and added something to last night's festivities. Food was better than I expected from apps to entrees to desserts. I'd give it 5 stars except for the somewhat limited wine and micro-brew options. The Full Sail Sessions was not as described. Kim was a top notch professional server though and got me straight with a couple of other suggestions. She took great care of our large party.
My wife and I can't wait to go back.
Just tried this place for the first time. Â Our experience was really about a one star rating but because pflugerville has so few cute local places with beer and wine, and such a cute outdoor space I still have hope.
So those are the upsides: local beer and wine list. Really nice outdoor space (which was unavailable for seating due to weather).
Downsides:
1) I'm a foodie and was hopeful about the menu which doesn't seem inventive but between the styling of the menu and the prices they are aiming for a variety of classic dishes (pulled pork hatch chile enchiladas, fried catfish, jumbo shrimp pasta, etc.) but well done. Â As someone who adores great food I look forward to flavor combos that are new, or if they are things you can find on lots of other menus then they better excel in preparation and technique. The food was not inventive and not even well done for a run of the mill dish. For example my enchiladas not spicy, extremely mild however the chiles were all you could taste. Â The pulled pork was bland (no smoke, no spice) and mostly an odd texture. Not strings of pulled pork but more of a paste. The top of the dish was covered in bubbly cheese. Really this dish was just a flavorless heap covered with loads of cheese attempting to masquerade the sins underneath. Served alongside rice with corn and black beans, while tasted like some sort of rice-a-roni.
2) the place has HUGE ambiance potential. The outdoor area is dynamite. Large stone fireplace and great lighting.  The indoor downstairs has cool private dining tables. Upstairs is a neat space with tables that over look (wait for it! Here is the downside) a State Farm office. Part of the downstairs is partitioned off without a ceiling covering it from the second floor dining room, so as you dine you get to look out over an empty office. Stare right into the desk and personal artifacts  of some insurance agents desk. It's weird. It ruins the mood. Is this a nice restaurant or is this a balcony  in a business suite. I found it to be the weirdest dining room layout I've ever seen.
3) the smoke alarm went off quite a while during our meal. Long enough that all the diners were looking at each other like 'do we need to evacuate.' No one ever reassured or directed us. It was handled with a 'what head splitting shrieking?" Approach. Â I understand this was as accident but we weren't impressed with the handling of this at the end of an already unimpressive experience.
4) live rockabilly music thundered in the intimate upstairs place. We could not conversation at our own table and we were seated almost as far away as possible. Too loud and not exactly dining room music. I'm still not sure what vibe this place is trying to go for. If this was outside on the patio I would have understood in a more informal setting.
Conclusion: I would go back to have beers on the patio but it will be a while if ever I am able to order food again. I'm sure this place will improve over time, but right now they are aiming quite high and hitting very low. We will see how they improve.
I took my parents here for Happy hour on New Year's Eve day. I am writing this review for just one reason - the Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding.
The glorious Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding. It was light - more cake-like than most, and was served with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream. This is worth making the trek to Pflugerville.
We ate other menu items while there, but the taste of this dessert wiped the rest of the meal from my memory.
Wow...great addition to the North Austin/Pflugerville area. Â Great beer selection (something like 18 or so local drafts), great food, and all for a very reasonable price. Â They completely redid the interior from the old Czech/German restaurant (which was run down/old/etc to make this place look great. Â And the great patio is now there as well.
We ordered the enchiladas and the burgers (both were recommended) and we were not led wrong. Â We are actually talking about going back again this week if just for beers during HH.
This place is fantastic. First, it's a beautiful restaurant, good for a date or a large group of friends on the patio. The crabcakes were very good, lots of crab delicately fried. I didn't notice any breading at all. I've had the catfish and greens  and the scallops and shrimp with Israeli couscous and both were delicious. Everything was well seasoned. The prices are reasonable and I like the choice of large or small plates. Nice happy hour til 7:00 includes appetizer specials. There was soft Big Band music last night, too. Just lovely all around.
Review Source:This place is a gem of Pflugerville! I live in South Austin, but find myself north frequently. At last! A dining experience to look forward to when I'm in the neighborhood, and a reason to plan another trip to Pfville.
When we walked in I was blown away with the atmosphere on the patio. I could picture sitting out there for hours, enjoying good wine and chatting with friends and family. We continued inside and upstairs to the loft for dinner. I love the set up. I could people watch (which I love to do), it felt spacious and open. There's just something fun about being upstairs to me.
Then came the food! I had the pulled pork enchiladas. They were delicious and I plan on ordering them again. For desert we tried the chocolate mousse which was amazing! I love spice and this place has it! Â
Price is not outrageous. You pay for what you get, and here it is: quality/unique food, gorgeous environment, friendly/good at what they do staff.
In short: love the environment, food & drinks are awesome, and this is the first restaurant in Pflugerville that I've been excited enough about to write a yelp review! I'm looking forward to returning and bringing some friends.
We've been there twice. And we really want to love the place. The location is very close to our home and it's obvious that they've put a lot of effort into renovations. Â But neither of our visits was a very good experience. We sat inside twice (once because the outside area was full...the other time it was a hot and muggy evening). Â Each time we were seated along the back wall upstairs across from the bar. The first time it was freezing in there, and both times it was way too dark to even be able to see our food. A romantic setting is one thing...pitch black is another. Seriously... add some mood lighting or candles before someone misses their mouth and loses an eye due to a mishandled fork.
I ended up ordering the same thing (the catfish) each time we went. Not because it was awesome (although it was 'decent') but because the menu just isn't really all that varied. Â My wife had the chicken/waffle entree once and the pork chop the next time. I believe the pork chop was the better of the two.
The bread pudding is huge, and while a bit non-traditional (or at least quite a bit different from what I've had elsewhere) it was very good. Especially the ice cream that comes with it.
Hopefully things will improve. Sadly our 'go to' for casual dining is still Pecan Street Grill a few blocks away. They're just a burger joint but they do it well. :) It would just be nice to have a fancier place available in the same area when we want to make more of an effort.
Wow. Love what they've done for the hood! Tonight we Yelped for dinner out and found PBK. We were totally blown away by the atmosphere on the patio and menu. We had a wonderful and unexpected evening out. We did have an argument with Josh. He claimed our ribeyes were tasty; but we thought they were extraordinary.
Who knew....Southern fussion comfort food and Italian sparkeling wine on a fall moonlit night on Main street in Pflugerville would be relaxing and romantic.
10 years ago, when we first moved to Pflugerville, being a half an hour away from the city with its spectacular dining was something that we saw as a benefit. Over time, our area has seen some serious explosion of development, and with it great restaurants and bars.
We only went to PBK that night to kill some time. We enjoyed some locally brewed beer, and sat at the bar. The menu looked great, and the bartender that helped us was very pleasant. We sat out side, but there is a great space inside for dining as well. Both inside and out had a bar, and music which is nice.
Everyone who I saw dining seemed to be enjoying themselves, and From the reviews I read, the food seems good.
Read some reviews about price, but when I perused the menu, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, with the exception of a $40 app, which the bartender assured me was huge and could feed 4 adults for apps. I think that the idea of "pricey" food comes from the point of its location. In comparison to other dining options in town, I can see the difference, but you get what you pay for, and I think this is no exception.
Either way, already planning a dining trip there soon.
The catfish was amazing and the shrimp sauce on top was ridiculously good! Â My friends had the chicken and waffles and savory cheesecake. Â I'm going to have to order the chicken and waffles next time - it was sweet, savory, and a bit spicy all in one bite. Â The patio is fun and the inside has this cool vibe. Â Great wine menu and love the craft beers on tap.
They have live music inside and out...somewhat of a blues feel. Â Nice not to have to go to Austin to get this experience. Â Oh, I almost forgot! Â The coconut cream pie -YUM! Â
Great addition to the Austin area...and a huge plus for Pflugerville!
Spent a very nice evening at PBK Stem & Stein last night. Had some good wine and some very good food. The food is a little pricey and menu is not exstensive but the atmosphere, the wine and beer list absolutely make up for it. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful. I enjoyed it very much.
Review Source:OH WOW! Â It's the morning after...and I'm still reeling in delight from the amazing food and wine at Stem & Stein.
Last night we sat out on the lovely patio enjoying great music - and that's where it happened. As I perused the menu, chock full of yummy items, I saw it. White Truffle Mac n' Cheese. Suddenly everything else on the menu fell away and I immediately placed my order.
As my plate drew nearer I could smell that fabulous truffle scent...my mouth started watering. It was love at first bite. I swear I heard the angels singing. As much as I wanted to gobble this decadent dish, I made myself slow down and savor every bite. Pure culinary ecstasy.
And if that wasn't enough to have me doing a happy dance, I also found my new favorite red wine...a soft, subtle Super Tuscan.
We're headed back today to try the burgers, which are rumored to be addictive. I wonder if I can get a side of that Mac n' Cheese...????
