Great food and terrific service... Bye-bye Pizza Hut!
We normally order the everything on it combo from Pizza Hut, but my daughter was over and recommended this new place her friend turned her on to. Ordered one wirh everything and one veggi. Â Price is just a bit more than P.H.
First of all, I was very impressed with the delivery driver! Â Very polite and well spoken, probably working his way through college. Food arrived on time, hot , and as ordered.
Very fresh, great taste, texture was nice and flavor exceptional. Crust was perfect; not too thin or thick. Did not seem greasy or soggy as some chains do.
Great job guys, keep it up! Â Will have to try one of the salads next time too.
This was my 2nd visit to Pepz and I would say my experience was much improved in terms of service. Â The person at the bar taking orders was friendly and welcoming (even before he saw my Yelp voucher). Â Every time I approached him for drink refills, boxes, whatever, he had a pleasant smile and seemed genuinely happy to be of service. Â
I've found the pizza to be consistently good here; I really enjoy the thin and slightly chewy crust. Â Toppings are plentiful. Â My son enjoys playing the video games, though I wish they had a few more games instead of the sticker machines. Â Several TVs throughout the dining area make Pepz an easy choice for enjoying pizza and a game while the munchkins entertain themselves racing cars and shooting dinosaurs.
I gave them 2 stars because the food is actually good but service/deals are 50/50. Â If you go in when the owners are working they will be really nice and give you the deals as advertised. Â If you go when they are not working good luck on service and deals. Â I been there several times with friends with a great experience. Â The last time I went in, the lady and guy did not give us any deals that were advertised on the windows. Â We tried to get the best deals since we weren't able to get any of the deals advertised and we ended up changing our order once since we noticed a better deal on the menu. Â We didn't even wait long to change the order, made the correction of the order right away and we got dirty looks. Â Worst thing was we got over charged. Â This made our experience that day really bad and actually made us not go back. Â It's a shame because they have good food and good selection of beers, only if the owners hired more honest or friendly staff, they would have have our business. Â We will probably not be back again.
Review Source:I received a Groupon order for this place and decided to check it out. Â The pizza is very tasty! We had the one that had just about everything on it- I forgot the name of it. Anyway, the sauce is tasty and the pizza is loaded with toppings. We ordered a couple pitchers of beer and watched the basketball game that was on. Overall, a good experience. It's a family friendly environment for sure. The prices are pretty decent even without a Groupon offer.
Review Source:Great place to watch a game: YES!
Great place to get good food: NOOOOOOO!
I guess it serves me right ordering lasagna from a pizza joint, but it was some of the worst I have ever eaten. Â They would have been better off serving me frozen Stouffer's (or maybe they did). Â Fortunately, since we had a http://restaurant.com coupon we had to order an extra pizza to hit the minimum order amount. Â Unfortunately, that too was a pretty subpar pizza.
My wife seemed to enjoy her artichoke and cilantro pizza, but agreed that it wouldn't be a big deal that we never come back.
The "brewed" lipton tea is only brewed in the factory and not made on the premises.
With so many better places to get pizza in the area, it is no wonder they are always offering coupons to get people to show up.
the 10 for 20 deal is not accepted for delivery....even though it makes no mention of the rule, anywhere in the terms and conditions. I guess the coupon is still worth it though. Cant complain because they also gave me the free cinnastix with the yelp check in. pastas were meh....the sauce and meat were good but the noodles are kraft quality. the pizza was really good, had the alfredo pizza. cinnasquares were good but looked like a pizza that was gizzed on. all in all i would go here again but would not really recommend it with so much quality competition in the area. worth a try...i feel like i got more than i paid for. manager had good customer service in person....unlike previously mentioned on yelp but their phone etiquite can use some polishing. so i can see why he has got a bad rep.
Review Source:We ordered a meat lover's pizza and lasagna.
We're looking for a new pizza place as Gondola's has the WORST service ever! Pepz had a $10 for $20 Yelp deal so we gave them a chance.
The lasagna was well cooked and very flavorful.
The pizza sauce was a little sweeter than we're used to but good. There was a nice balance between the crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings.
Very good but we're still on the hunt for the best pizza in the area.
This place looks pretty freindly- I came here about 10 minutes to close, which was hard to figure out until they closed the door and turned off the open sign...there did not seem to be posted hours.
There were four old guys at the bar.
The whole thing was pretty much a non event, but my girlfriend needed something to drink so we pulled over- now that the mystery is gone we probably wont come back.
I have been to Pepz a few times and each time the food was fresh, just the right amount and priced right. Best of all it tasted really good. Today we took a large group of our Chamber of Commerce business members there for lunch. Again the food was the same consist ant quality I had when I was there by myself. I would take anyone there for lunch or dinner with confidence. 5 stars!
Although I am not into sports that much, I understand it is thee pizza place to watch the game. Entertainment on some Saturday nights too.
Great little neighborhood pizza place. Â The pizza is pretty good. I like the dough! Its not thick crust nor thin... and has good flavor for dough.
Its not the cheapest pizza in town, but they do offer specials/ combos. Â We ordered the pizza with wings and cinnabread. Â The wings were ok. Â I liked the pizza and the cinnabread or whatever the dessert was reminded me of Wetzel's Pretzels but in a pizza form. Â It was a good way to clense your pizza palet.
A great place to watch a football or baseball game on their tvs. Â They don't rush you, and my friends and i closed the place down.
This place looks a bit more like a bar than a pizzeria on the outside, and until your eyes adjust to the dim lighting inside, it'll continue to seem like a bar for a few more minutes. Â You'll see patrons at the bar area too, with their massive draughts of beer, and right by them, there's where you place your order and pay for your food. Â
The menu is pretty decent, with salads, pizza, calzones, and hot wings in various flavors. Â We ordered the pastrami pizza, original hot wings, barbeque ranch salad, and a couple of soft drinks. Â It wasn't really crowded when we walked in, so we got to order pretty quickly, and our food began arriving at our table soon after.
Even if it was busy, there are TVs and arcade games to be played while you wait, if you can get to them before people's snot-nosed kidss do :) Â Watch the game on TV, relax, and before you know it, your food will be in front of you.
The pastrami pizza was pretty good, though the crust wasn't strong enough to hold all of the toppings. Â Boyfriend thought there was a bit too much mustard, but he liked it anyway. Â The wings were good, succulent and spicy, and worth the $8 for 10 pieces.
I liked the salad, though I thought the bbq ranch dressing needed a little bit more of a kick. Â Next time, we'd like to try the alfredo pizza :)
This is a great place to bring a group of people for beer & pizza. Â Do I smell an UYE?
Good food, however the restaurant was really dirty. Lots of dirty tables, and a really dirty bathroom. Trash all over the bathroom floor and did not smelled horrible. It was not busy, so there was no excuse for dirty tables. The staff was friendly and nice. Just need to work on cleanliness.
Review Source:Hi! Got the Groupon deal for 12'' salad and soda. Got the Alfredo , Greek salad and instead Of soda paid extra for a pitcher of blue moon. Salad wasn't all that but the feta they use is delicious!! Must be french feta ok like you care. Pizza was aaamazzzing!! We got half with no meat (for me) and it didn't disappoint. Great crust, sauce and even better cheese. Beer was great. To top it off super great customer service! Will be back even without the discount!!!
Review Source:I went out of my way to go here because I got a gift certificate, and I will go out of my way to come here again because I had what was possibly the best sandwich of my LIFE. Â The spinach chicken artichoke panini was simply glorious, the bread was toasty but not hard, and everything in the sandwich was melty and congealed in a perfect cheesy symphony. Â My husband got the House pizza (kinda like a supreme), and went on and on about how good it was.
The food took a little bit, but I didn't mind because it was well worth the wait and we had two giant beers to keep us busy.
Also the staff was super nice! This place is your typical pizza place with tons of LCD screens for sports, games for the kiddies, but as a bonus exceptional food for the adults with a very respectable beer selection on tap! Also the music was good, can't go wrong with classic rock, imo.
Had a Yelp! deal for $10 for $20 worth of food.. so i gave it a shot!!
So me and my girl ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza, cheese bread, lasagna, and a free order of cinnasquares!!
**THE BEST lasagna I HAVE EVER HAD. Perfect meat to noodle ratio. Comes with two LARGE pieces of garlic bread too!! ***
--Pizza was very good !! no complaints at all!! although i have had better pizza!!
--Cheese Bread was SOOOO BOMB :D !!
$5 for HUGE MUG of Domestic ! during happy hour!
Check-in for free cinnasquares!! MmmmMMmmmm, great way to end a great meal!!
The guy working at the time was really cool and had good vibes! very polite !!
OVERALL , 100% recommended !! GET THE LASAGNA!! Give it a try !!
We waited quite a bit for our take-out sandwiches.
I had a spinach artichoke chicken panini. It was amazing! It tasted exactly like the spinach artichoke dip add chicken and the grilled bread. The chicken was moist and flavorful.
The boyfriend had the garlic chicken parmesan. It was a bit dry-if they had given us marinara sauce it would have been even better.
I would come here again to try their pizza.
I had a great time a Pepz this evening. What a difference from the mad house I experienced three weeks ago at this same place. The service was much better, the atmosphere was more relaxed and the food was even better than past visits. Definitely and evening that was much more quieter than the previous visit. Of course, it was a change of management three weeks ago also. So a little rocky start to begin with. Even with the change of guard, the food remains outstanding and plans for the future looks very promising. I still enjoy the pizza very much -- it's fabulous and the toppings are generous! I wish new owner/franchisee Raul Huete and his partner Steve best wishes for a lot of success. Thank you Raul!
Review Source:So my bestie and I decided to try Pep'z for our lunch break and I must say we will DEFINITELY be back soon. Not only are they right down the street but they are casual and have an AMAZING lunch menu. Â I got a cobb salad for 6 bucks and my friend got a special, 2 slices of pizza a side salad and a drink for 6 dolla! ;) Sounds like a deal right?! Great place to hang out with friends and family and just watch a game. I recommend this place for sure to anyone wanting Pizza or subs, or salad, or...nevermind, just Check out there Menu! They are super rad! ;)
Review Source:I came on a Saturday night, and although it was packed, my party of 8 was sat right away. We didn't have to wait long for the food. The pizzas were delicious! Not too greasy, cheese pulled like string cheese, and the marinara wasn't overpowered with spices. All and all, I would come back. :)
Review Source:When we ordered our food the waitress said " You are going to love our pizza" and I did! It was delicious. The pizza is pricier than if you had it delivered but it was worth every penny!
This particular location is huge, they serve beer, sodas and food, great place to go with a big group. They could improve and get bigger TVs for sporting events.
Right when I walk in, there are Angels jerseys hung up on the walls. Right away, I knew I'd like this place. lol This place just opened not too long ago and it's really spacious and clean inside. Â I ordered chicken with potato wedges which was pretty good! Pizza is not bad either. Friends also ordered some cinnamon bread, which were dangerously good.
I hear there is a magic man on Friday nights that does magic tricks and karaoke nights coming up soon. There are lots of big screens so I'll be sure to come back and catch some baseball games here.
Pepz has good pizza great place to watch games all u can drink soda. They have beer and wine arcades for the kids
But something the game don't work. Talked the workers there and they
Said that there looking to open one in azusa but there not sure yet. Overall good place to have beers and pizza will be coming back here
Just opened Pepz Has Good pizza. (needs more toppings)
Lots of TV s, alot of beers on tap. Lasagna is also really
good. Mozzarella sticks OK but 4.99 for 5, Â never again.
I really like the food for the most part, but the food is little
overpriced. Beer prices are OK. I will return. Best pizza in
La habra.
