Well  I have  been a year before I tried it.. Reminded me of a upscale IHOP. A bitt more pricey and lots of bake goods. They have you pay at the front where all the bake goods are. Sweet tea  eh. Greek salad not too shabby. I had a pot roast sandwich (only 1/2 of sandwich) $6.99.  Pot roast was really good ..........portion could be bigger. Over all OK. Will  I  go again .....no I prefer my mom & pops places to a chain restaurants
Review Source:I went to Perkins twice in one week on my visit to FL. Here's my take:
Perkins has great breakfast - I normally don't even look at the lunch/dinner items. But I decided to branch out & be adventurous (don't you wish you had my exciting life?), and try soup & a sandwich. I got one of the specials - Â a bowl of chicken noodle soup + an Italian panini-thingie. The chicken noodle soup was meh - nothing special, but not bad either. The panini was solidly good, but if you don't like basil, you would hate it. The waitress was nice, but wasn't terribly attentive - we kept having to flag her down for drink refills, & it was not very busy.
The second visit was the day before we left, so I decided that I wanted at least one Perkins breakfast before we came back to the land of IHOP (vomit), Denny's (ew), & Kerbey (pretty good, but far). I got another special, which was the apple cinnamon muffin french toast platter. They were out of apple cinnamon muffins, but the waitress said they could make it out of any of their muffins, so I chose pumpkin. I substituted fruit for my eggs (no charge, BTW), and got bacon & breakfast potatoes as my other sides. The breakfast potatoes were great; the bacon was thin-sliced, but not greasy; the fruit was fresh & non-bruised. The muffin french toast was perfect. Our waitress on this visit was friendly, prompt with the refills, & checked up on us multiple times. This time, the restaurant was packed (we had to wait 25 min for a table).
Overall, a solid 4 stars. The service is kinda hit or miss, the lunch/dinner stuff is okay, and the breakfasts are super. I will definitely return next trip!
P.S. - Please franchise to Texas. KTHXBAI Â :)
We dined here for dinner. I had fried shrimp. My wife had the grilled salmon. The meal comes with rolls and a choice of two sides. I had french fries and a side salad, My wife had herb rice and sautéed spinach. We took my mother-in-law. She had the senior potato  pancakes with apple sauce. The shrimp was good, and the fish fresh. I'm guessing the pancakes were good as well, as none were left. Coffee was our choice of drink. They kept it coming for as long as we asked for refills. It was above average.
They have a bakery. Special is buy two and get one free. We went for the muffins and cookies. Blueberry muffin for my mother-in-law, and six oatmeal, raisin and walnut cookies for me.
Nice atmosphere, good, friendly service. Typical of a chain-style restaurant, nothing overly special.
