Love this place, great food, great craft beer, great atmosphere. Its in a very good location, love to grab a beer after work. I had a problem today that bothered me (I don't think I'm overreacting). Was in the bar and was on my 2nd beer, when the bartender (raina was her name) just hands me my bill out of the blue. I hadn't even asked for it. I was planning on ordering another beer, and some food but was interrupted by this act. It pissed me off. I payed for my bill and headed to the Folsom petes where I no the service is good. I absolutly loved this place, but the bar obviously needs some help
Review Source:Food was good, although it's hard to mess up a pastrami sandwich and a mushroom burger, lol. Â Nice atmosphere, although you should be aware that happy hour only takes place on weekdays. It was quiet when we arrived, but once the bar filled up that quickly changed. Â Might have given it four stars however our waitress had some friends arrive and after that she was less than attentive! Â Although we are generous tippers when the total experience merits it, she blew it totally in this regard. Â Lots of places have happy hours, and we will check out more before we return here.
Review Source:What a great restaurant. Â The food was great and there is a full bar as well. Â This place is perfect for either the family outing or the casual guys night out. Â Service was great and everyone seemed nice. Â There is a nice outside patio on the restaurant side as well as the bar side looking out over a nice large pond. Â Definitely recommend visiting.
Review Source:Been here a few times now and have always had a good experience. Â Its nice to have a place in Granite Bay to go to with friends to just grab a beer or a place take my Dad out for pizza. Â I normally sit in the bar area because I like the atmosphere, its a bit dark and they normally have TVs with the game on or music playing. Â It gets pretty packed on a Friday or Saturday night. Â They different seasonal beers here on tap as well you can try a beer sampler, my favorite! Â
The food has always been good too!! I love their pizza and salads, but my favorite are the knots appetizer.  They are little knots of dough (kind of reminds me of a soft pretzel) that they cover in Parmesan cheese and serve with marinara or ranch dressing, so yummy!!  I have to admit after reading the other reviews it is too bad to confirm my previous observations, that the owner does seem like a jerk.  He is normally always here working at the bar or running around.  I have over heard him talking to his staff a few time and it is normally not very pleasant.  I can't complain though because I have never had bad service, just happy I haven't had to deal with him.
Very disappointed in this pace!! I come to Petes a lot but this location always has something wrong with it. I came in for happy hour, and even tho the two bartenders saw me come in, not one acknowledged me. . I had to tell them myself that I want a beer, and after that I once again had to chase them down to tell them what I wanna eat!!!they were too busy talking to each other, and the people all the way long the other side of the bar. Way to acknowledge your other customers.
My pizza was fantastic tho!!! That's the only reason why I have 2 stars instead of 1. Service however, needs a lot of improvement. Start by hiring bartenders who knew how to interact with EVERYBODY. Not just the regulars.
I really enjoy going to Pete's! The food is solid - nothing amazing, but really good. My favorite part is being able to sit outside and enjoy whatever beer / burger / pizza / wrap I decide to order. I like the beer... the Pale Ale is really good! I think the portions are generous and the value is good... but did I mention that I really enjoy the outdoor seating?? The service is consistently good. It's got some options for the chillens and it's got this really great outdoor seating area. If I had a complaint, I guess it would be that you cannot enjoy Happy Hour specials, regardless of where you sit. You have to sit at the bar or outside. I am usually happy to accommodate the outside thing, but the last time we came here, it was pretty windy, so sitting outside wasn't a good option and we had kids with us, so we're not going to sit at the bar and we were denied HH pricing. That's pretty lame! If I could, I've give 3 1/2 stars, but alas, I cannot. I rounded up to 4 only because I really like the outdoor seating option. Â :-)
Review Source:My friends and I had lunch at this restaurant on a nice but warm Sunday afternoon. Â We opted to sit out on the patio and as the sun moved, half of our party of 10 wound up sitting in the hot sun. Â I had to eat my lunch on my lap to avoid being in the hot sun, which i cannot tolerate. Â When asked to move an umbrella so we could be shaded, we were told they would not do that because the customers who were not there yet would want to be in the shade. Â The manager said she was sorry (but she really wasn't because she was going to stick by the policy of taking care of people who were not there yet, might never come, rather than take care of the people who were!). Â I called to complain about the way we were treated, she came to the phone and persisted in trying to convince me I was wrong, not their policy! Â Their food might be good but when they have no regard for the comfort of their customers who are there and worry more about the ones who aren't and may never come, putting up with such rude and inconsiderate behavior cannot be excused and good food or not, this restaurant should not be patronized!
Review Source:Usually love this place. Â We like to eat out back they have a nice view of a pond. Â This trip was the worst experience my girlfriend and I have had in 1.5 years and we eat out a ton! 1. Waited 40 min for apps to be delivered. Â 2. When apps arrived no dressing for the salad had to wait 5 min for dressing. 3. Pizza slid off stand due to a unstable table we only had a slice each.....Bottom line terrible service not only by the waitress but by the owner Chad. Â He said he would comp our apps and he did not. Â Offered no apology for the pizza falling off the table however showed me how to fix the table. Â It's not my table Chad! Â They did discount the check $10 kind of an insult! Â The food was good but come on figure things out do not over seat servers and be rude to customers! Â It was a shameful experience! Â I am saddened due to the fact I like to eat at locally owned places. Â Hopefully the senior citizens with deep pockets in Granite Bay keep you in business.

The food is just like any other Pete's. I actually like the dishes when the waitress gets my order right. We usually sit in the bar so we can see what's new on tap. Good selection of craft beer, but its a good thing my boyfriend and I already know our stuff because the staff knows zip diddly squat. Maybe its because they pull focus away from the beer by having a full bar. One day they had some rowdies in there watching a college football game and tried to drowned them out by turning up the music. It got to the point where we couldn't have a conversation without half shouting at each other. Another time I received the wrong dish and just ate it anyway because our waitress/bartender kept disappearing for five to ten minutes at a time. We continue to eat here about once every 2-3 months hoping something has changed and the only reason we try is to enjoy a beer someplace other than where we work.
Review Source:Are you kidddin me! We have given Petes three second chances and even with low expectations have been dissapointed each time.
From unproffessional service to mediocre doughy undercooked pizza we have moved on and our search continues for good pizza in Western Placer County.
I would not wish this place on my enemies.
Stopped in with some friends Saturday nite....
ordered Large Pizza....it was just ok..seemed cool.not really any
flavor.....just a lot of dough...Friends order
was not complete had to bring the meatballs for
the spagetti.....I'm thinking only good for happy hour....

Its not a typical pizza place but a BREWHOUSE.....

Went to Pete's for the first time last week, food was great, beer was ice cold. I love a good hamburger! It was delicious...my wife had the pizza which she found delicious. Our server was April, she was fast, polite, and funny. I would recommend her section and the brewhouse...see you soon Pete's!
Review Source:I'm very late with putting my review in. Â My sister and I were visiting family in Roseville during Memorial weekend. Â We went to Pete's Brewhouse for lunch. Â I love a good Brewhouse and trying out different beers. Â Our server, cannot remember her name now since I've waited so long to put my review in. Â She was AWESOME, pure awesome and on it. Â We were still deciding on what beer to order and what appetizers and food to order. Â Our server suggested we wait 15 mins, or take our time because happy hour was near and if we ordered a pitcher at the happy hour price we would save money on the beer. Â So we did that and then we put in our order. Â We shared the pizza, it was good. Â Our awesome server checked up on us frequently to make sure all was good and if we needed anything else. Â She also apologize that she was the only server at the time and thanked us for being so patient. Â No, thank you for being so honest and giving a super duper great service. I'll be back. Â I have to go when they have bands play, that will be fun.
Review Source:If there was a lower rating I would give it!!!  I have never been before and I will not be returning.  My father took me and my son out for Mother's Day and I chose to try this place.  I ordered a cheeseburger and the waitress said they were out of fries.  My dad order the fixh and chips and they were out of fries!  My son ordered the NY steak to be cooked medium well and it came back burnt and well done.  My burger and mash potatoes were cold and my father's fish was burnt.  I asked where my son's salad was and she said what kind of dressing do  you want on it?  We said Bleu cheese and she brought it with Ranch, we told her and she did not say I am sorry or anything she just took it away, like we were a Huge inconvenience.  It came back with Ranch again.  At that point I was tired of waiting for her return or to try flagging her down and asked for a manager.  The manager did not offer any apologies either.  She comped my burger and made my son's steak again to go.  My dad did not want to try the fish again and told her three times he did not want to try that or anything else, yet she made it over and said he could eat it tom morrow.  I should of paid attention to the previous reviews, in which they said the service was bad.  It was not busy and we were seated right away.  Our waitress did not have any other tables, it was just us.  What kind of Restaurant runs out of french fries, especially when that is was is served with a burger and fish and chips?  My son always get fries with his steaks and that is how it comes normally.  I would not even think about giving this place another chance.
Review Source:I went here for the first time with my friends because we saw a discount on dealsnapt. We ordered the appetizer sampler, the purist pizza, meatball sandwich, and the fish and chips. The sampler was good and had something for all of us to enjoy. I LOVED my pizza! It was simple and had a great cheesy, garlic-y (yes that's a word) flavor that my mouth thoroughly enjoyed. My friends also really enjoyed their food...especially the fries that came with their entrees. We had some room left in our bellies for some chocolate cake..and my word...that's quite the slice of cake! Â This one slice of cake could feed a table of 6. It's rich and served with vanilla ice cream, which nicely balances out the large amount of chocolatey goodness. The reason I gave Pete's four stars instead of five was our waitress. It took about 15 minutes to get refills and that was after flagging her down. When we got her attention for the refills, she didn't know what the drinks were, which is fine so we told her. The waitress asked my friend what she was drinking and she said a root beer and the waitress took the cup, poured water into her cup, handed it back and left. My friend had to ask again for a root beer, since our waitress clearly can't differentiate between water and root beer. Other than the slow and not so attentive service, the experience at Pete's was worth it.
Review Source:Been back a number of times, at least once or twice a month. Â It's great to have a casual evening hang-out place in Granite Bay. Â No offense to Roseville people, but if I wanted to stand in line everywhere I go, I'd live in Roseville. Â
Thanks Pete's for picking our little village to setup shop in, and keep up the good work. Â You filled a significant void left by Mark & Monica's closing a few years ago. Â
Maybe some bigger TV's and expanding the bar area into one of the vacant spaces next door? Â
My only complaint is the ridiculously small waiting area... it gets very crowded most of the time.
I came here for a soccer end-of-season party. It went above expectations. I saw some reviews bellow about service problems. It was almost in a way problem for me, but I know they have made an effort to resolve that problem. They moved us to an entire private suite across the compound with a personal waiter, who was the MANAGER. The only problem I saw about their service was the food took a while, but let's keep in mind they had to make 20+ pizzas and wheel them across the compound. I ordered the Creamy Garlic and Chicken Pizza. It was AMAZING. New favorite pizza. I also know the Midtown Ale(idk about spelling).
Also, the manager told me they always accept coupons even if they're expire, so another plus! Come here! You won't be disappointed!
Average restaurant in a great location, there is not enough competition to make this restaurant raise its game. It is best for what the name says, Pizza. The pizza is very good, however if you venture to a different meal be cautious as the food is hit and miss. Good selection of beer! Waitress are young and often make mistakes, if you are a critical or impatient diner suggest avoiding this restaurant. I eat there mostly because it works well with my 4 year old son.
Review Source:Pete's in Granite Bay is what restaurants should be all about. Â Their food is good but their service is OUTSTANDING!
Both my wife and I have worked in restaurants in the past. Â In this day and age, too many people are focused on the short sale and not the long term benefits of treating customers the way they should. Â My wife and I went recently with our 2 boys. Â Everything was fine until I received the salad I ordered. Â I asked for dressing on the side as I find the soaking that every restaurant does with dressing to be far too much. Â When it arrived, they put the BBQ sauce on the side for the chicken, but the salad was too over dressed. Â I mentioned it to the waitress and she gave me the option of having it redone or taking it off our check. Â No questions asked. Â Since we already had plenty as this kids never finish their food, we took it off the check. Â
Then, we had a Living Social coupon that I was sure applied to this restaurant. Â I had even called them to be sure, and someone at L.S. assured me it was good there. Â Turns out Pete's in Granite Bay wouldn't accept it. Â But, Chad the owner, took an entree of our bill anyway. Â
They are a great operation and I will definitely be back there soon. Â More businesses should take their lead and service their customers like this!
Thanks!
Pete's Restaurant in Granite Bay is not exclusively an Italian restaurant. Â It's not exclusively about pizza. Â Try the steak sandwich, or the salmon one; both were served with great seasoning, fantastic tender rolls, and very interesting crunchy fries. Â
Pete's is much nicer than BJ's inside. Â The music is softer, the atmosphere is more elegant, and the view of the outdoors... water, sky, and landscape... makes Pete's a destination restaurant. Â Bring someone special, like parents or out of town visitors. Well worth a visit to Quarry Pond center.
The ambiance is really nice. Service was pretty good too, we had a large party and our waitress still split our bill. Price of pizza was a lot cheaper than other places, which is nice.
BUT...the pizza wasn't really good at all. We got..
Hawaiian one--felt like they put the pineapple on a mushroom pizza as an afterthought
Chicken Combo-tasted like day old bbq'd chicken on top of a pizza
BBQ Sauce Chicken-this one was the best, could have used a little more sauce though.
Excellent service.
Greats kid menu.
Gets busy after 8 pm, so walk ins around 7 works well.
I thought the food was great....one minor point, food (besides pizza) can be fairly salty....reminding me more of the food style in an English pub....French fries done more in a fish and chip style for instance.
This isn't a criticism....just the way they do it there.
Will definitely go back.
Skip it! Â I can't believe this replaced Pizza Antica. Â Went to Pete's with the family (3 of us) and it took forever to get our food. Â And, dishes were served separately. Â I got mine first, 10 mins later, my daughter got hers. Â Then, finally my husband's meal was served. Â And the food was awful! Â Absolute disappointment.
Review Source:Frequent Pete's regularly. Perfect place for a large family gathering. Nice atmosphere if you want to talk. Service is always impeccable. Very friendly staff. The rib eye is amazing, the Petes steak house salad very good! the burgers are scrumptious. We love their pizza as well and my husband (a brewmaster) raves about the IPA. The patio dining is great complete with a fire pit and great view. Have been here too many times to count since they've opened and have always had a great experience.
Review Source:Went with a big group Saturday night. Â Made a reservation and table was ready when we arrived. Waiter was excellent. It's in the former Pizza Antica spot and has a great view of the pond behind. Â Also, easy to let the kids outside to run around. They let us test out their new gluten free pizza which was the best GF pizza I have had. Need to add Bard's GF beer to their menu now. If they do that we will be there often! Keep up the good work!
Review Source:Location: hidden in some tiny corner of granite bay. The shopping complex is nicely built.
Food: BJ's wannabe. I had the chicken ale. It was pretty good. I like mushrooms and chicken, so it was winner. The salad that it came with was really good. My buddies ordered pasta, since we heard the pizza wasn't all that great. They had the spaghetti and the chicken Parmesan. I tasted the chicken Parmesan and it was really good. Nice and crispy and the sauce was tasty as well. The garlic bread it came with, came out cold though and it didn't have much flavor. My otherftiend ordered pizza. I didn't try it but she said she would give it 2 stars. My mom had pizza too, and she said she would give it 0 stars.
Service: for some really odd reason the service was crazy slow! We were probably 1 out of 4 other parties at the restaurant, and they still managed to take almost an hour to get our food out. The waitress was  indifferent, no status updates on the food or anything in order to let us know what's going on.
Overall, it's a pretty huge BJs wannabe. The food was alright and the service sucked. I'd rather have BJs.
The first week they were opened this place was dynamite. Â Service was great and the food was good. (The bread knots are bits of hot doughy deliciousness and huge dessert portions)
Now that the dust has settled it seems like things are slipping. When orders come up they sit out on a counter under heat lamps. The problem is often you will see your pizza or food sitting there for 10+ minutes while they make the salads or whatever else people in your party have ordered. I also ordered a sandwich and one half didn't have any meat on it. The server was embarrassed but c'mon really?  It's a nice place for locals who don't want to travel down Douglas Blvd.  too far. But after sub par service the last two times, I think I'm heading down the road.
Overall it's like a BJ's with bad service
We have eaten at the Granite Bay Original Pete's (in the old Pizza Antiqua building at the Quarry Ponds) three times since it opened and have greatly enjoyed it each time. The service is fantastic!
We went last night and my husband ordered a NY steak. It came and was not great - too much grizzle. Â Their response was EXACTLY what you want! They asked him what he wanted to replace the steak - got his sandwich out very quickly, offered us a free dessert. Then the manager came over to apologize and make sure everything was perfect. He even refilled our wine glasses for free.
Now that's what you want!
