Not what I expected from the reviews to say the least. The service was not very good. Our waitress did not check on us after our food was delivered and we had to search the restaurant to find our check. It was not busy.

The food menu was equivalent to a roadside burger stand but I have had better food from a roadside stand. If you want to see the memorabilia go for it otherwise you'll be disappointed.

    The good:
    Nice waitress.
Deep green leaf lettuce on sandwiches.
Deed rich red tomato slices on sandwiches.

    The bad:
It appeared that most ingredients were from the can or frozen from a big name distributor.  No local ingredients.  Roast beef was weird and shiny.  Gravy appeared to be from the can.  Green beans definitely from the can and overcooked.

This place is a must see. They feature simple hearty burgers and ice cream.
But the real treat is the artwork of local celebrity Mark Cline.

Folks, it's a classic, American, country greasy spoon.  Relax and go in without a nonsensical, pretentious expectation of perfection in dining and you will have a fine time.  Good, cheap food with the friendliest of staff.

I was very amused, as was my 3 year old son, when I pulled up to the place and saw the giant King Kong statue outside. The food was fast and made just as ordered. I didn't expect a diner to have such good food. The staff was super nice. My waitress made my son laugh which is no small feat. Good job Pink Cadillac!

A must stop at if in the neighborhood/driving by and hungry.  Easy off and on the highway.

Hour 9 into a 14 hour straight shot drive with the kids, 2 and 4.  Yes, a dive, but great memorabilia.  Good food, friendly service and the locals kept pouring in during our early dinner.  Packed as we left.

Elvis burger was awesome.  Wife's chef salad was great.  Kids Burger and nuggets were as expected.  Ice cold beer served in a chilled beer mug.

Ms Pacman and Galaga arcade machine!

Service is super friendly.  Great ice cream selections, comes with kids meals.  Buy a gumball from the machine, get a pink one and dessert is free!

It's not gourmet, but beats any fast food, and is a great break, especially for the kids.

Really mediocre food. It has some nifty memorabilia on the walls, but that's about all it has to recommend itself.

Good friendly service and atmosphere. Nice throw back atmosphere and good diner food.

Stopped on the way back from Nashville for a bite to eat.  Very tasty burger on a toasted bun. Killer onion rings cooked well done as requested. Jim had fried chicken that was magnificent.  The decor is all Elvis Presley which hardcore fans will love.  For me, not so much a bit creepy.

Service was flawless and priced right. It's worth the visit.  They have Hershey's ice cream as well.   Located right off the interstate.

Kind of a dive but worth a trip to see all the memorabilia. The burgers aren't bad either. Wait staff is always friendly.  Located in a beautiful area and a short drive to the zoo and the natural bridge.

We've eaten here for years, even when it was in a different location further north.  We love it.  Their burger is great, not in a gourmet way, but just what a diner should serve.  The meat was obviously hand formed, and was juicy and cooked just right.  Their fries are not the best, but they are still good enough to satisfy.  When they have it, their Cuban sandwich is excellent.  Unfortunately it only a special and wasn't available when we ate here earlier this week.

Best French Onion soup I've in a long time! The Pastrami Melt was a special and was so good. The slices where thick and a bunch on there. It is a diner... service isn't terribly attentive, but food makes up for it. We didn't go lacking. 50's music playing along with Elvis memorabilia all over the walls sets the scene.

Based on the bowl of chili alone, it was very good. Hubby had the meatloaf which had real mashed potatoes! Big hit for him. Staff is very friendly, stopped in at lunch on friday and didn't have to wait. If you are traveling and looking for something other than fast food, it's worth the stop. Oh yeah, sweet tea is good southern sweet tea!!

Cute place - a true greasy spoon.  There aren't much other lunch options around beside chains and fast food, so I would always pick this place over the other options.  The pulled pork sandwich was smokey and good.  Onion rings were above average.  Coleslaw was also decent.

Was pretty good. Like others have said, a little tired, but fun and funky. Homestyle cooking. Chicken livers were tasty, although one was seriously undercooked. (liver I don't like rare!) but, it was big, so understandable how it happened. Husband had the pastrami and liked it. Coffee was delicious. Friendly, prompt service. Convenient to highway.

Wow.  Interesting.  On a long ride from NYC to Tennessee, we stopped here thinking we would have a quick, basic dinner.  From the decor outside, my friend observed that things were "ummmmm interesting".  Once inside, the Elvis decor and giant stuffed pink panther, we knew we were in for a memorable experience.

We were seated in a booth that had a towel hanging on the wall with Elvis' picture on it.  When the waitress finally came over, she was wearing plaid flannel pajama pants.  My friend asked what Brew City Fries were.  She answered that they were fries with seasoning.  My friend asked if it was seasoning salt and the waitress just looked at her and said "they are seasoned".  I asked what the difference was between the Country Fried Steak and the Angus Country Fried Steak.  She told us the difference was the Angus was bigger and it came with a salad or soup.

My friend ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato, the Brew City Fries, and a cup of chili.  I ordered the Country Fried Steak.  While waiting, we were joined at our table by a few flies.

When the food arrived, it was actually ok.  My friend's grilled cheese and chili were ok but she said the fries had no real taste at all.  You could see the seasoning but she could not taste it.  My country fried steak came with really brown gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans.  The gravy was interesting.  It was hot, looked like dark chocolate, and it never moved.  It was like jello gravy!  I actually pulled the mashed potatoes away from the side and the gravy stayed there.  No flow, no creaminess, just a shelf of gravy.  As we ate, we used our elbows to shoo the flies away.

The food was not actually horrible.  It was okay except for the gravy which actually did not taste that bad.  The price was cheap and we looked at it as an experience we will laugh about for a while.

I am not saying you should not eat there but I would stick with the grilled cheese or the burgers.

Two stars is being charitable--and that includes the decor--and the fact we didn't get food poisoning. Mediocre food, and poor service. We sat at a table for a good 20 minutes before anyone stopped by to take our order. The place was not very crowded on a Friday night--maybe that should have been a sign.

My friend started out with a milkshake. He asked for malt. She said they didn't have any, not since the fall, and didn't plan to order any. (Note to waitstaff--spare us the nitty-gritty of a failing restaurant's operations.) When the milkshake arrived it tasted like it was made with cheap chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream. Is making a proper milkshake--basic "diner" fare--really that hard?

I had chili and a chef's salad. The chili was bland, with big chunks for hamburger meat. It didn't taste or feel slow-cooked. The salad consisted of two kinds of deli meat, some cheese slices and an egg indifferently heaped on a bed of iceberg lettuce. The salads at Wendy's or McDonald's are much better.

We won't be back. We expected a real road house / diner experience and were sorely disappointed. Do yourself a big favor and drive 8 miles up the road to Lexington, where they know how to run good restaurants.

This place is worth a visit if you're in the area and blows away anything else in the area. We loaded up on greasy diner food!

The place was crowded while we were there so service wasn't the best but it seemed like the waitress was in over her head. Which is probably because my friends and I are 99% sure she was the same woman we saw working at the gas station across the street.

Don't forget to pose with the pink cadillac sitting in the yard after you're done eating!

Service was good, but food wasn't. I ordered NY steak it came undercooked, flavorless and plain. It is also rather costy for this real. I spent 15$ for simple dinner and could have much better quality for the same.

What a great place to stop on a drive south. Elvis decor, friendly service, and they provide quick service. I had one of the best swiss mushroom and omlets I have ever had.

I've been traveling a boat load this summer, so I haven't eaten at any new places in Philadelphia in weeks upon weeks. On the way down to Asheville Tim, Jonny and I stopped at the Pink Cadillac diner. This tiny, Elvis themed eatery is located right of the interstate, and seems to be a stop for locals and passerbys alike.

The decor here is crazy. As the name indicates, a Pink Cadillac is sitting in front of the

restaurant. Oddly, there is also a King Kong and Humpty Dumpty out front. Once inside, it seems like a 1950s diner, one that understandably pays homage to Elvis with nearly every inch of wall space.

The service here is fine. Our waitress was pleasent. I don't expect the same speed or quality that I'm used to in Philadelphia, which is good because the South operates at a slower speed.

We got to the restaurant shortly after 11am, which is when breakfast ends. I wasn't thrilled about this, but looked over the menu and ordered the Elvis burger. It's a basically a good version of the Big Mac, right down to the bread in the middle. Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting much from a roadside diner, or maybe it's because the food was great. Either way, the burger here was great. The patties were perfectly cooked and all of the ingredients were to perfect proportions. It was topped with a "special" sauce, and overall was a very enjoyable
    burger.

The excellent fries I had as a side order were thick and crispy. Tim ordered onion rings as his side and they were some of the best I've had in a long time. Great meal overall, and a fun place to stop.

    Bottom Line:
If you're driving through VA on I-81, Pink Cadillac is a great place to stop at and an even better place to eat a cheeseburger.

I had first heard of this place while channel surfing. It was on some sort of roadside eats show, probably on PBS. Since then I've heard several people mention stopping there and enjoying it. It's a popular spot for bikers and for people going to the neighboring Safari Park, as well as other travelers. So expect limited parking, a wait, slow service, and the possibility of menu items being sold out. It has your typical retro diner theme going swayed a bit toward Elvis. The food is okay, and about par for the price. I wouldn't avoid the place, but I'd consider something else when in the area again.

My mom wanted to eat here with two grandsons today on her way to our place. They stood for 25 minutes at the "Please wait to be seated" sign. No one even stopped to say they would be with them shortly. People lined up to pay and were ignored as well. They finally left, disappointed. It looked fun, she said, but if you can't even get a hello after 25 minutes and they ignore people trying to pay, I'd skip it.

The Pink Cadillac Diner is conveniently right off I-81. It was a nice place to get out of the car, stretch my legs, and enjoy something that wasn't branded by a fast food restaurant. Their prices were about what one expects for a diner - a little higher than fast food but significantly less than a "real" restaurant. The food was also about what one expects from a diner - not much love put into it, mostly cooked with butter (be it toasted, baked, or pan-fried), and quite tasty. The Pink Cadillac is nothing exceptional, everything I expected it to be, and very much worth stopping at if you happen to be driving all day.

After driving 12 hours in a blizzard we were grateful to finally arrive at the Pink Cadillac diner which is located right off the interstate.
The inside was kitschy but not very updated. Inside were all locals which was a good sign.  The menu was unbelievably cheap.  So cheap that my boyfriend ordered kielbasa and a hot dog. He was stuffed! The portions are large for the cost ($2.95 each) They were both amazing, tasted like butter.
I got a burger and cup of soup both of which were delicious.  There is a smoking and non smoking area- which we weren't used to, but it was  really cheap eats!
