Pioneer Restaurant & Lounge

We heard about this place from a few people.  Wow...this place is outstanding.  The beer and food made me wish my vacation was a few days longer!  If you are anywhere  close to Susanville plan a detour to the Pioneer you will not be disappointed

You always wonder about a place that has all 5 stars. The other reviewers have it right, this is truly as good as it gets for a pub/lounge.

My Fiance and I ordered their Lamb dip and fish tacos; along with two pints of their brown beer (the name slips me). The waitress who served us was just delightful. We thought this was the start of a great meal. It was. The beers, great. The lamp dip and fish tacos full of flavor. Everything was very fresh and well made.

A few hours later we both commented on how great we felt. We'd had a less desirable experience elsewhere on our road trip.

Great food, great service, great brews and a nice atmosphere. 5 all around!

Great place to eat and the beer is even better.  I don't think you can get a bad meal there.  We have been several times and everything has been great.  We had a burger with everything on it, including Jalapenos.  The onion rings are not to be missed, they are made with beer batter from the beer that is made on the spot.
