Plonk! Beer & Wine Bistro

I like the place and its very close to where  live  but I think it needs a few tweeks. There are a good number of nicely selected microbrews on tap with a nice list of bottled. There appears to be numerous selections of wines. I didnt see any chicken entree, which seems odd. The menu would do better to include more items for those who don't eat beef or pork, which is an increasing number of diners.  There is little for vegetarians. The single fish entree is high at $26. The hummus appetizer was tasty, though excessive on the cumin, but does not warrant the $11 price. The basil pesto, artichoke heart pizza was excellent, with crispy paperthin crust. The salad was tasty, though with excess croutons, but priced too high at $14.  Very friendly staff.
Update: pizzas have greatly diminished over last several months, repeated burnt crust, repeated inedible hard artichoke hearts on ELF pizza. Still odd over priced menu, with very limited service. Overall I will not return to eat, maybe only for wine/beer

What a surprise!  Without being able to read a menu (they don't post on line), we were a little skeptical, but so glad we went.  The owner, Scott, greeted us at the door and explained the bar service concept which turned out to be some of the best service we have had.  The food was  exceptional.   Be sure to have the Firecracker pizza, probably the best pizza in Houston!   We will be back and bringing friends!

It is hard to find any negatives about this restaurant.  Don't be put off by the strip center location....inside, the decor and ambiance is great.  It is wine and beer only, but at reasonable prices!

I love that the menu continually changes to keep me on my toes! I am all about trying new things. The pizzas are fantastic, the burgers are ground in house and they have an excellent beer and wine selection. If you save room for the desserts are a treat! This place if one of my go to places for a great meal and great patio. They are cigar friendly as well which is important for my hubby!
