This is really different in that the food is actually fresh.I am not very health conscious, but the food was tasty and there was a consistent variety.

The location is very neat and clean and there are several options. I had the Popeye which was spinach, bacon and other vegetables.

I love the veggie pocket. I'm not a vegetable fan but Pockets has created a delicious and nutritious way for me to enjoy them with their yummy bread and fat free Italian dressing. They have many fresh items on the menu to choose from to create your own pocket or salad. I used to live one mile from the Orchard Rd. location. I miss it, they need to open one in the Roselle area!

Love love love Pockets! Bam Bam's pocket with salami and black olives and of course, ranch dressing - Pockets has the best ranch dressing on the planet!

I love Pockets! There is a deal on groupon nearly everyday for $10 for $15 worth of food. I've never used it because I can't eat that much food, but it would be great for a family or couple. I have never gotten the pockets, but I have ordered the calzones. They do need to be ordered ahead of time and take about 20 minutes to cook. On occasion they will have ready made calzones, but usually not. I usually get the calzone with chicken, low-fat mozzerella cheese, spinach and mushrooms. I love it with ranch or marinara sauce. It is made with whole-wheat dough so you can indulge a little and not feel guilty. It's a great, healthy alternative to fast food.

Surprisingly good .  Seriously, really good!  Why haven't I thought of Pockets in such a long time?  What a nice alternative to standard fast food.  This chain needs more marketing.

First time visitor trying to avoid yet another trip to Panera, or Jimmy Johns, or Chipotle in the same set of stores.  I was a bit disoriented by the menu and the process, but I took my time, figured it out, and was really looking forward to trying a calzone -- then noticed that it takes 15-20 minutes (it is posted on the sign).  Yipes, that isn't going to work for lunch away from the office.

I had the southwestern pocket and my daughter had the original.  Both seemed a bit dry because of the bread, and were bland until we added the dressing.  My daughter described it as "someone took a salad and stuffed it into a roll."  In the big scheme of things it did not distinguish itself from the other options.  I'd give it another try for the calzone if I ever actually plan lunch that far ahead.  $20 for lunch for two.

Pockets will leave you feeling full, satisfied, and not the least bit guilty.

This place offers so many options.  All of the ingredients are fresh and very nutrient rich.  I like the Pockets and the frozen yogurt.

My favorite Pocket is one that I created myself.  First, I choose the Lettuce/Spinach mix, and the 5 ingredients I add are:  Mushrooms, Black Olives, Edamame Beans, Sliced Almonds, and Tomatoes.  The Dressing I choose is Marinara.  The result is an enormous, satisfying, healthy meal that has lots of flavor and texture, and tastes a lot like pizza!

The half-size Pockets are great if you're hungry but if you're really hungry you'll wanna go for the full Pocket.  They also have great 'guilt-free' self-serve frozen yogurt here, and offer a variety of toppings ranging from cookie crumbles to granola.

Trust me, if your health is a priority and you like healthy, tasty 'fast' food- you will LOVE Pockets.

I like the idea. But the "pocket" bread is kind of dry and tasteless. I got the "popeye" pocket with chicken. The majority of the stuffing is bagged lettuce, with maybe 5 pieces of spinach and 10 pieces of mushroom. I also got the tomato soup: taste just okay, but the pasta in the soup was way over cooked. Nah. Panera next door is way better even though it's a national chain.

I'll start off by saying the ingredients for the pockets are really fresh.  However, the pocket itself was not what I expected.  I guess I thought you'd be able to pick up the pocket and eat it like a sandwich? Pocket to me meant pita, so I was a bit surprised when I opened the box at home.  The "pocket" requires a fork and a knife.  My pocket was actually really tough, so I had a heck of a time cutting the bread.  When I went I ordered the Southwest Pocket.  The salad part was actually pretty good - fresh ingredients with a really tasty dressing - a bit pricey when you start adding anything to it.  For a healthier spin on something fast, it's a good place to try out.

I couldn't Disagree with Jeff more.  I'm all about cooking but are you seriously going to go to the grocery store to buy 10 plus different ingredients for a salad??? I've tried and it still doesn't taste nearly as good and I feel terrible when half my veggies spoil and I have to throw them out. Prior review in unfounded and flat out wrong.  Pockets offers some of the best custom salads around.  Many different ingredients (love the mandarin oranges and southwest mix) and a bunch of solid dressing to chose from.  Management at Aurora and Naperville locations are amongst the best you'll find.  Highly reccomend!

Don't listen to the previous reviews.  This place is a welcome addition to the community.  I visit Pockets often for lunch and am very happy with it.

The menu items in this place are basic.  You get fresh ingredients in a warm homemade pocket bread.  They also have fresh, made to order salads and calzones.

The people who work at this location are very friendly and always ask how you are doing.  The owner(s) are almost always present when I am there and are very friendly and interested in the customers.

The food is quite good.  You can create your own pocket with a whole bunch of different ingredients, so everyone can get what they like.  I generally go for a pocket when I am there, but have had the salad and calzone.  The salads are basically what ends up in your pocket, so those are pretty good.  The calzones are just average in my opinion, but that is a tertiary part of the menu.  The place is called "Pockets."

I love the place and continue to return, however I do have one gripe - price.  The pocket alone costs $7.  To add some meat, add another $1.25.  With a fountain drink, my lunches always cost just over $10.  It is a bit pricey, but not outrageous compared to other similar establishments.

If you like fresh and different ways to enjoy variations of salad then you will really enjoy this place!  The pocket bread is yummy and they have very good soups as well. As a nice touch you can order online and build up points towards freebies and request eco-friendly packaging.

Trust me, anyone who likes food will not enjoy this place. You could also save yourself $10 and make it yourself at home. Go buy a "pocket" ( a pita you can stuff) and throw some shredded lettuce and vegetables into it. Oh, and for just $1.50 more, you can add a shredded meat. Add some dressing of your choice and you got yourself a bland, dry, overpriced, stuffed pita. This place will not be around for long.

Don't let them trick you with their "healthy" advertising either. Although they may be low in fat, each pocket has 89g of carbs and more calories than a big mac (over 500).

    Update (10/21/09)
I never wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but boring tasteless food is known to put me in a raw mood. Yes, you could make anything at home you find in restaurants. However, throwing shredded lettuce and vegetables into a "pocket" is easier than easy mac. FYI Robert, 95% of dissatisfied customers don't complain, and 90% of those do not return to the business again (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.smetoolkit.com&s=1ec9874a045e573c8ba8911ae3dec633fd6ccf119812705f2d2b49b1f06c7f6c" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.smetoolkit.com</a>).  I don't ask for refunds because I didn't like what I ordered, I just don't ever go there again.
