Came here because I was able to find a Groupon and decided to give it a try and it was close to my place.  The wife and I probably won't be returning here...

Start off with the service, it was very slow, not very friendly, and the server didn't seem she knew much about what they offered here. Asked about their draft beer, seemed like our server was just trying to guess what there was.  She told me there was a hef, on tap, and I went with that.  It was definitely not a hef.  It was more like a blond type of beer, not what I was looking for. The overall service was just bad. We were hardly checked on, only saw our server when we ordered, dropped off the food, and about 10-15 min after we finished, we finally were able to ask for our check.

Now, on to the food... The food was average, at very best. I think the fried pickles were the best thing we had.  It is kind of hard to mess those up though. My wife got the cuban sandwich, it was pretty much bread, chicken, onions, and then doused in sauce.  Not very appetizing. i got their jalepeno burger, wasn't very spicy, tasted very bland, and fell apart quite easily. My buddy came a few weeks earlier and got the fish tacos, he warned us the food wasn't very good and he was right.

In conclusion, we will probably not be coming back here again.  Between the food, beer, and service, I don't think I would come back if another Groupon came up for it.

Nothing special on the menu, and service was very slow even when they weren't busy...I think 20 minutes for a cheese burger is a little long.   Won't rush back.

The company that I work for had been holding dinner meetings there and the food was nothing to sing about but we went because they are a local business like us and so we were trying to show our support. However, we will not be going back because the last scheduled meeting was canceled because they found a higher paying event and then didn't tell us. They didn't leave a message with our office or try and let us know. We just showed up and the room was taken and then they weren't even apologetic about it. Very, very poor business practice. No one from our office will be back.

Almost a two, but staff saved the three.

Basic sportsy-bar in Denton, serving traditional high-calorie, booze soaking fare.  The beer menu itself is ok, but not ok, when most everything non-swill is out of stock.  Went through three attempts before found one acceptable.

Staff friendly and accomodating.  Nice view of a little pond/lake from the bar area.

Generic sports bar with generic beer and generic bar food. Best for watching generic sports. Meh.

The service is terrible.  I have been there 3 times and walked out twice.  The bartenders are too wrapped up with personal problems or entertaining their friends.  I sat down and watched the bartender take 2  shots while I sat for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged.  This past Sunday I went to this "Sports Bar" to watch a game and sat for 7 minutes without a bartender behind the bar.  Once he arrived he served his friends and hung out with them while I sat for another 5 minutes.  Too bad it is a great location and a nice building.  No wonder there was less than 20 in the main area at 1:00 PM on the first Sunday of the NFL regular season.

First off the location next to the lake is a very nice setup! I love the media room with the big TVs everywhere so catching a game is no problem! This place is the ideal place to hang out have drinks and watch the game or just hang out on the back porch with the amazing view of the lake....I wish I would have known about this spot sooner while living in TX;(! Staff very friendly! Had the chance to meet one of  Managers and he was really kool and offered info in regards to if i wanted to reserve a section for my groomsmen. Highly recommend this spot and will visit it again when back home!

Pour House will become POOR HOUSE if they don't make improvements.  The waiter failed to bring utinsels, or refill drinks in a timely manner.  When you order bottomless chips and salsa, the salsa should not run out.  In this case that wasn't such a bad thing.  It was the worst salsa I've ever tasted.  The chips tasted store bought and stale.  The food was average at best and the pricing was ok enough, but neither could make up for the bad service.  Even though Justin had a smile, his charm could not cover for his lack of attention to detail or speedy service.  I only ordered water to drink because that is what I like.  Maybe he felt he wouldn't get much of a tip so he decided to serve our group accordingly.  Well he got his wish. 10% minimum is all I could bring myself to pen at the close of the bill.  Not ONCE during the meal did he check on us to see how we liked the food or to refill drinks and he never brought the napkins I requested when I reminded him we had no silverware.  I doubt I'll ever go back to this location.  There was nothing exciting about the atmosphere, food, or the service.  1 star is all I could muster for this rating.

The Pourhouse is always a great experience for not only the sports fan.  The food is not only really good, but also reasonably priced.  Had a chicken sandwich.  Everything about it was fresh, and also had a sample slice of a gourmet pizza.  Also surprisingly good.  Have been here several times and plan on going back in the near future.

Local sports bar tucked off the main road in Denton.

Baja burger jack cheese fried jalapeño. $7.99

Burger was cooked perfectly medium well with just a hint of pink so it was still juicy. Fresh jalapenos added some heat.

Very friendly staff and our waitress/bartender at the bar was very quick and keep in touch w us the whole time making sure our glasses were topped off and asking if we needed anything else for our meals. We sat outside initially hoping to enjoy the view but the wind and temps drove us inside.

Glad we ran across the place. This was our first visit but we'll be back.

My husband and I met some friends here after a UNT game. It was during one of Ranger/World Series games so it was really crowded. After waiting 10-15 minutes for a table, we sat and all ordered different items on the menu. I had the rotisserie chicken quesadillas. They were really good. My husband had the steak fingers and ate all of them. (good sign) Not only was the food good but the service was outstanding considering how busy they were. If I'm back in Denton, it is definitely a place where I would go again.

Stopped by there to have a few with some friends that are regulars.  Seemed like a great place to catch the game and have some cold ones along with a burger.

Their salads are really hearty and filling, however at 9 bucks, they SHOULD be!  The unhealthy options are more affordable (go figure), especially between 5 and 7pm when pizzas are a measly $5.00!   Two pizzas for the price of salad---that's a bargain.  Overall, the food is consistent and the view of the lake is spectacular!

Three women, unwinding after a hard day at work . . . headed off to another restaurant, could not get in, had never been to the Pour House, decided to try it.

Got right in, happy hour, nice waitress (Waco), good frozen $3 margaritas, life was good, was really liking this place.  We were having a nice time, thinking this might be our favorite new place . . . and then the live (bad) music started.  There was a really loud and bad singer (somebody named something like Ericson), we could no longer talk or hear.  We asked our waitress if the sound could be turned down a little, she tried.  After an hour and a headache , we asked for the manager.  He did come by, was defensive, said we were the only people complaining,

There were two couples at a nearby table and they came over and said that they had also complained about the loud music and that we were not the only ones.

Too bad . . . but we vote with our money and our feet . . . will not be returning.  Manager failed Management 101, listen to your (paying) customers.

Is the food unique, or amazing? No. But, the staff is very friendly, the patio is great, and prices are fair. It's a great neighborhood bar, and is worth a try!

There is something about this place that just doesn't work.  I've ate here several times, but each time it seems to fall short of what i think this place should be.

First off the food is nothing special by any means.  Very bland and nothing that really pops out at you.  While i realize this isn't a place for great food, i still think they could overcome the simple "play it safe" food that i have come to expect here.

I enjoy the long bar that overlooks the unicorn lake here.  Bartenders are friendly and drink specials are on par with everyone else.  Can't really say i've ordered to many mixed drinks here though.

I dont' think it would take much to get this place to three stars, but it falls short every time i go.  As far as the atmosphere you would think this would have a more upbeat crowd with the projector room and sports theme, but the crowd is much older and laid back.  Maybe thats why i feel there is something missing.

This place is a joke the food suck, our waiter Thomas totally sucked, it took 10 min before he even came to our table. because he was to busy talking to the bartender. it took for ever to get our drinks and food. the bartender brought out the and almost dumped it on the table because his cell phone was ringing. This place is very dirty they are to busy play on there cell phones.

I've eaten here many times and they've hosted several functions for a group I'm associated with. They have excelled in every way. My only complaint is that they got rid of my favorite menu item - the Seafood Cobb Salad.

Very nice, classy bar with a large amount of flat screens and a huge theater style room for watching the big game or UFC! Food is average. Atmosphere is great with nice views of Unicorn lake!
