Great spot for lunch in great location in Venetian Village.  We have eaten here several times and the lunch menu has a nice variety. I usually have seafood, but just tried the cheddar burger and it was excellent. The service is always good and there's a nice view, if you choose outdoor seating.  The prices are reasonable for the area. Atmosphere is casual.

Love The Pub in Naples! Yes, I know it's a chain, but they serve the best Fish & Chips that I have had in Florida. They use haddock. The way that its supposed to be. I am okay with Cod as well. But many times when I see fish & chips on the menu in a Florida restaurant, it turns out to be Mahi or Tilpia. I know that haddock and cod are North Atlantic fish, but if you're serving Mahi/tilapia or anything else, it's not authentic  fish & chips. It's only the name.

I stick with my fish and chips. My husband likes their Pot Roast and the Bangers & Mash. The pot roast is served shredded with mash taters. Plenty of meat and very tasty. For appetizer, we like the beer cheese. The whiskey bread pudding for dessert is very good!

Another shining star is the Pineapple Upsidedown Cake Martini. This is insanely good! My husband likes their beer selection and particularly likes that they serve Innis & Gunn.

The staff is friendly, upbeat and efficient. The men wear kilts. 'Nuff said!
The seating in the dining room is a mishmash of booths, high tops, regular tables and cozy tables for 2 with comfy  living room type chairs. I would love to sit in the giant royal throne chair and rule over my people! They also have outdoor seating.

We love the Pub and it is a great choice at the Mercato.

The Pub is a chain English Pub style restaurant/bar that really shines as a watering hole.  They actually have a pretty gastro-centric food menu with traditional English fare (like scotch eggs, fish & chips) along with non-traditional bar food (fish tacos, pimento cheese dip & veggies).  A few of their sandwiches are kicked up a notch b/c they are served on pretzel buns (TIP, you can ask for any one of their burgers to be served on the pretzel bun and it's ohhh soooo gooooooood).

The beer selections are outstanding, and their whiskey/scotch choices include some real gems.

They almost always have live music on the weekends, some acts are above-average for Naples.

The real downside with The Pub comes from their service related issues, which is a common denominator amongst Naples establishments.  It seems that during season, when business is through the roof, they employ average servers who provide decent service, but always seem to be overwhelmed......when season finally ends and the crowds subside, the average servers head back up north and The Pub is left with the best of the rest, which is usually pretty poor.  I've been to other locations, and enjoyed myself, so I'm attributing the problem to lack of local talent year-round.  The most memorable encounter with their staff was when I paid a $90 tab with $100 and the server didn't bring me any change.  When I asked him for my change, he got huffy.  I'm not nearly old enough for a server to assume that I'm going to to poorly resulting in him tipping himself with my change.

A good bet if you're looking to wet your whistle and grab some decent grub, but don't expect too much.

Overall: food 3 stars, drink 4 stars, atmosphere 4 stars, service 1 star
