Putney's

I used to love Putneys....but it was a love/hate relationship.  

Some things never change.

I was unaware until recently that Putney's had given up on the late night happy hour and now had it from 3-7 p.m., so that changed my usual time for visiting.  But my last time there (admittedly, a few months ago), the food was good, the service attentive...what could go wrong?

Completely inattentive server (more interested in telling everyone about how she was pulling a double shift and OMG was she tired and I don't want to dust the neon signs).  Seriously expensive "happy hour" appetizers, considering the portion size.  ($9 for   And quite honestly, the whole time I was there, only one other booth filled up and I could hear those guys making the same general criticisms about the prices and food quality.

I'll probably try it again and see if that night was just an off night for Putney's (and hopefully I can avoid the same server, lest I contribute to her "stress" at doing a double and being tired and bored). ;)

The service is  little slow, not the servers fault, they are just very understaffed. The atmosphere is nice for a not super classy bar. The games are fun to watch here because they provide audio. The food is some of the better bar food that I have ever had but it is bar food none the less

Best burgers anywhere! Friendly atmosphere. Amanda is top shelf lady!
