It's funny how everyone is quick to blame the nightclub for the Weeknd not showing when in actuality, its the Promoters fault for not paying his main attraction enough and telling the DJ's to let everyone know that he's in the parking lot. The nightclub just hosts the event, it's not responsible for the promoters shady business dealings, even though everyone would like to think so. Guess that's what happens when people make uneducated assumptions about something they're oblivious too.
Review Source:Oh, the Quiet Cannon....where to even begin. I previously attended City of Hope's Fight For Life event here which I thought was both very well organized and executed overall. That being said, after coming here on a separate, second occasion I see that that must've been due largely, if not all in part to the City of Hope's efforts.
I came down here on a Friday night like some of the reviewers prior to me to see The Weeknd. Yes, The Weeknd, not that ridiculous spectacle of a line I waited in outside of the club for two hours; which by the way, I'm sorry I didn't realize this was Montebello (Las Vegas), NV??
Again, I came for The Weeknd, not those swagtards who spent the whole night "hyping" the crowd for someone they knew was never going to show. Last but not least, I definitely did not spend $44 dollars per ticket plus $5 on parking to bump shoulders with one of the most unruly crowds I've ever experienced, only to witness that the Quiet Cannon's idea of the most appropriate and effective form of crowd control were TASERS.
It would be nice to think that promoter Oliver was completely at fault for this fiasco, but judging by the atmosphere, everyone from the ticket girls to the self-important security guards were in on it. I can only hope that my (and everyone else's) refund which I so expediently received a few days later (Thanks TicketWeb!) was garnished from his wages.
Do NOT go to this club!!! They're a complete scam! Paid $40 plus parking to see the Weeknd & he never came... The Weeknd even posted on twitter, "i want apologize to all the fans who were lied to by promoters tonight making it seem like a club appearance was a full out performance." And this is after they hyped it up and advertised it ALL over the place. $40+ to listen to shitty music?! So pissed, they just want your money! Don't trust them it's not worth your time, find a better club!
Review Source:This is the worst venue ever!!!!!! First of all, the only reason why I came here was because the website said it was for The Weeknd Concert. When I showed up, its a damn 18+ over club!!!! Confused by this, I tried to talk to the promoters in the front. They were super rude, ignore my questions, and kept telling me to go back in line. The line itself was horrible!!! They act like they were this mega Vegas club or something! Your ghetto club is NOT ALL THAT to have a long line for no reason.I had a feeling something shady was happening...I mean out of all the clubs in California, why the hell would The Weeknd go to a dingy ass club in Montebello?? Long story short, The Weeknd did not show up. Â Yes, I was ANGRY but I decided even though I'm a 28 year old female who was tricked into coming to an 18+club, I was still going to try and make the most out of the situation. WRONG!!! I did not like the layout of the club, promoters were all on a power trip and didn't want to help you, and it took us like 30 mins to get drinks! The bar upstairs only had 1 bartender!!!! Who by the way overcharged me on drinks!!! We tried to dance our sorrows away but the DJ SUCKED !!! He played good songs but literally like 20 seconds of each song. The transitioning of the song was awful as well. Like it didnt flow right. It also didnt help that the DJ kept announcing The Weeknd was going to be here like every 5 min. Lastly, I tried to speak to management or a promoter at the end of the night and of course they were no where to be found!!
Review Source:i dont understand why this place has such a low ratting. the music is good no annoying house music  shit. they play a variety of hip hop , top 40's a little cumbia merengue and reggeaton . we went on a Saturday night. there was a short line no more than a 5 min wait. we decided to text the number on the flyer (danny)15 before attending and he responded super fast we were put on the guest list which is free before 10 . will def be coming back
Review Source:This is the worst club I have ever been to. I waited outside in the line for 3 hours with everybody trying to get in. You don't even wait in Vegas that long. Not only that, but their bill specifically stated that The Weeknd was the headliner and he never came out the whole time. I left 45 minutes before they closed so even if he came out after, that's still horse s**t. The Weeknd even tweeted that he was sorry that the promoters led everyone on saying that it was a full set. Went to try and talk to the manager and they wouldn't even point me in the right direction. A bunch of self righteous a**holes. This club should get sued for lying to the public on what they are offering. Don't get tricked by their bulls**t lies. The whole staff needs to take a class on etiquette and business. F**k this club. Don't go here.
Review Source:This is place by far is the worse club ever, I bought tickets to see The Weeknd and he was a no show, but they kept telling everyone that he's on his way oh he's pulling up in the parking lot right now completely lieing to us. Oh lord was the DJ horrible he had no transitioning between songs, no type of crowd control and just a complete mess up on the stage. They used The Weeknd as leverage to make the crowd get loud. Don't ever go here!
Review Source:This club is shady as hell. Only reason I step foot in this s***hole was to see The Weeknd which said on the tickets and flyers was making an appearance. Waiting in the ridiculous line, waited all night for Abel and nothing. Even the D.J's were announcing he was in the parking lot and enticing the crowd to his appearance. Â Come to find out these shady promoters didn't even pay Abel to show. So why was his name posted on all the flyers? Beyond livid and will be taking this up with my credit card company as FRAUD. Bunch of shady liars, don't even bother with this club. "Oliver" you piece of s*** promoter. All around bad business, stay away.
Review Source:i used to party @ this club a few year ago. Â i saw a new qc's video about the new qc20/20 saturdays & my friends & i decided to go check it out.
this venue has changed a lot. Â it has an amazing lighting & good music all night. Â the club has nice decorations with balloons & i see people blasting out confetti. Â the dj shouted out for the birthday's people. we really like the excitement. Â definitely will spread the word to friends. Â
the best of all, they had a lot of sexy girls:)..lol
Partied here last Saturday with my girls and we all had a great time! Â The promoter (Danny213) was professional and nice with our group. Â We made birthday reservations ahead of time with him and when my group got there, he took care of us. Â We got in for free and we also got a free birthday bottle. Â Just pay tax&tip! Â Pretty good deal! Â The staff was nice and the decorations with the balloons really made the club look pretty. Â We will be coming back for the $99 bottle special (your choice of grey goose, absolute, ciroc, or skyy). Â
BTW loving this place because it does not get SUPER HOT like other clubs!!
went this past saturday.. it was popping!!! dj's payed all kinds of music. spanish music was awesome, non chunty, the top 40's was all the radio stuff! loved it! they had several bday parties, and they shout you out if its your birthday! not all clubs do that! over all i give it 4.99999 stars!!! the only bad part was a creepy guy in a leather jacket running the lights. kept on looking at my girl the whole night. he must of been like 50 years old!
got my girl's birthday coming up and we defenitely going to celebrate it there!!
$25 for girls are you serious?! Not even Hollywood or Vegas....and for an 18+-please. First time I came it was just ghetto and the DJs decks were skipping so bad I thought the crowd might form a mob! Second and last time I never even went in. Don't believe the promoters about getting on the guestlist. What a joke.
Pros;
-18 year ill barley legal girls if that's your thing
-only $5 parking
-spacious
Cons;
-rude staff
-$25 a pop on Saturdays
-your car will get banged up in the lot
-18 year olds thinking their so cool with their beer
-ridiculously long lines
-DJs with decks that skip ridiculously(this has happened both times I went...coincidence?)
We recently went to QC's for the first time ever a few weeks back to attend the Freestyle Festival. Â Although I was excited to go to the festival, things didn't start off well because the parking situation here is not good. Â The lot was full before we arrived so we ended up parking on the street and walking up the hill to the club. Â We got in pretty easily with our pre-purchased tickets once we arrived to the front door. QC's is humongous, and it took a while to find where everything was at. Â There are a few bars and several dance floors spread out around the club. Â There is also a large ballroom where the freestyle performances were taking place. Â Â
Before entering the ballroom to see the performances, we hung out for a bit on the second floor's balcony overlooking the dance floor. Â As we were watching the people on the dance floor below us, my wife and I had this conversation that pretty much sums up QC's:
Val: I always wanted to come here when I was a kid, but I never got the chance to.
Me: Well it looks like all the same people that came here back then are still here now.
Being at QC's felt like I had been time warped back to the late 1980s/early 1990s. Â I can't say that this place is terrible, because it is actually a pretty nice looking club. Â It just felt like the people here were trying to relive times that have long since passed. It is not a bad thing, but I wouldn't want to come here all of the time.
I don't know why this place has such a low rating!
Pulse L.A. Is one of the best 18+ clubs I've gone to!!!
Better than any Hollywood night club for sure.
DJ always plays the best music, guys are hott, and the girls are pretty!
They take so many pictures of you and there's a DJ outdoor for you when you smoke!
Definitely my hotspot.
What happen to this place? It used to be super fun! This place had something good going on at some point.
Went on a Saturday, nothing but big fat Tortas dancing on the dance floor, Grandmas drinking by the bar and Cholos leaning side to side.
I had mad respect for this place, they better step it up and get this club popping. I am honestly disappointed.
So some reason or another this place is not were you wanna be on a sat or friday night its 20 dollar cover plus parking is 5 and its not even packed. Went to there Halloween party one year and that was cool cuase it seem like an actual club. Anyways try it out for yourself I'm sure there's always going to be a promoter trying to get this place poppen.
Review Source:Fri/Sat(2Stars)- Is what 99% of the reviews here are reviewing. A tad bit ghetto crowd with the majority being in their 30s and older. I DO NOT come here Fri/sat unless someone I know is celebrating their bday as bottle service is pretty cheap. Under $150.
THURSDAYS- Is the night to go. Its 18+ but a good percentage of the crowd is in their mid 20s.
Rating for THURSDAY:
*Venue(4.5Stars)- Big, Clean well ventilated Venue with multiple floors, dance floors & Patio. Clean, Big bathrooms. Several bars on each floor/room. Excellent sound system. The ONLY Reason why i dont give it 5 stars is due to the fact that they dont allow you to take your drink outside of the Bar areas. I recommend shots and then get your ass to the dance floor.
*Crowd(5 Stars)- 65% Latino, then you get handfuls of other ethnicities/Race. Great Girl:Guy ratio. Ages range from 18-30 with the majority being in their mid 20s. Alot of young, attractive, tendy dressed people with fun, friendly attitudes.
*DJ(5Stars)- They always have a top DJ, with several Guest DJs making stops Including top guys from Vegas & Radio stations. The main room is mostly Top 40s/mash-ups, they offer an outdoor patio which plays mostly House & "Jerkin/shuffling" music. Occassionally you'll have a guest celebrity performing(ex: Chris Brown, Dream).
*Staff(4 Stars)- The promoters are awesome. I think it would be better but the owners/management seem to get in the way alot. I've got bottle service several times for my bday & certain holidays--- Its fairly priced but to be honest I dont know why they charge "graduity" cause their bottle SERVICE isnt that great. Its pretty much here is ur bottle and ur mixers help urself. They dont check up on you or anything-- but oh well. The security is pretty cool, they dont power trip nor are they particularly anal about anything. They have drink specials from opening till around 11 most of the time, other than that you can expect to pay standard club prices $5-6 for a beer & $10 or higher for spirits.
*Overall 5 Stars- Great Venue, Great promoters, Great crowd, Great DJ, Bar could use a lil work. Great spot for a Thursday.
I spent too much for this bunk show that didn't show!!! I waited till 12:00am and no too short and no band??? the crowd was just partying away to some DJ Mixing and to top it off the security there started tripping on my sister cuz she got drunk, go figure they do sell alcohol, so they escorted her back to our table at which that time she was pissed, annoyed and started screaming where the fuck is too short?? so she yelled for a refund at which could've started a riot so we got kicked out of this lame joint....Ha...Ha...LOL!!! The place is whack and over priced for what they provide or should i say don't provide! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
Review Source:Was here for the freestyle festival and all i have to say is that it was horrible!!! Massively crowded!! I couldnt even walk anywhere. Pure bald gangsters, why would they let these ghetto people in? Took me like 30 minutes to get a drink and a water for my wife. Bartenders were too busy attending all the girls. The place was filthy with food and water spilled everywhere. The security guards are total douche bags. They think they are the FBI or something. And most importantly, QCs if you cant pay to make your air conditioners work please dont hold such big of an event!! It was hotter than hell in there!! Smelled like pure sweat!! Refund please!!!!!
Review Source:Price - you get what you pay for. Got in free on someone's gust list but I guess free doesn't mean good.
Music and crowd - Whack, and definitely for the grown I mean OLD and UNSEXY. They played techno 90's music ALL night. I went on a Saturday "Premeire" night and the only Hip-Hop music was remixed with techno. Definitely no mix of music. That may be why there are 99% hispanics and me and my friend were the only black people (and like the security).
Bathrooms (I know only us girls care) - Very clean. This is prolly the only reason I gave this place 2 stars.
Drinks - No complaints but they coulda been stronger.
Would definitely stop here to use the bathroom but that's it. Not going back for anything so-called fun.
the guards at the doors where acting like they own the place they pushed us my g/f trip and hit the ground so i pushed them back and the fat ass guards where all trying to get crazy. i ask to talk to a manager but they didt get me one or let me come in there to talk to any one, the club music also sucked every time it got good they changed the song, wack ass club.
dont pay $20 Â this shit is not even worth it if i can get in free i would never go back.
and if anyone has been jumped by the guards that would like to get a lawyer and fuck the club over, u can contact me and i will testify to the way the guards act here. hitting girls bunch of fat pu$$ys
Celebrated a good friends birthday here last night. Had such a blast and so many red bulls that I actually am still awake from last night, 4 hours after the place closed. Dang.
It's true, this place is ghetto. It brings out the ghetto in everybody that walks in too. From 6-7, it's happy hour. Try not to be even a minute late because the bartender will chew you out and not give you the special. It turns into a club around 930 where you have to pay a cover, but it is free before that.
I don't know, man. The place is like swarming with 40+ year olds and all the young women are apparently repelled by men here. Â When I see a circle of 7 girls dancing with each other, it makes me feel like jumping in the middle of them and busting out my own dance moves, and I usually do.
Couches are comfortable as hell. There's a bar at the end of the lounge that has faster service, apparently no one here drinks either. The men's urinals are shaped like mouths. Thought it was funny.
Anyway, yeah. Monteghetto at its finest.
The night I came here was to celebrate a friend's birthday, one I have not seen in so long! I thought to myself, "Friday night at the Quiet Canyon, eh? Hm mm Quiet Canyon seems to be a place where, um mm you would think it'd be quiet ha ha." Once I got there though I thought they would have stricter security here since I just passed by them with a smile and navigated straight to the dance floor.Well, it is Monteghetto.
Beforehand, however, I decided to get me a drink! Apparently there are two bars, one that was packed and the other that was empty? Okay? So, I decided to go with the packed one since it seemed like it was the one where they were giving the best deals or good drinks. The bartender girl wanted to charge me $7dollars for a margarita and I told her I would come back. I decided to go the the lonely bar with the fella looking bored. I asked him how much for a drink and he told me "Well señorita, $1." I was surprised and so I told him "I'll take 2 please!" One for the birthday girl and the other for me ;). Then I ended up hitting the dance floor and giving and having fun dancing the night away. Music selection was okay, could of been bad, but it had good rhythm.
I saw a lot of guys crowded up in booths just looking over the girls crowded up dancing on the dance floor. What's wrong with this picture? A lot ha ha!
Cleanliness is okay, bathrooms seemed more fancy that the club itself he he.
Good time with wonderful people though. If you come here, eh don't go alone!
One star only cuz I have to, but this is THE WORST/ MOST GHETTO/ DISGUSTING place on this earth. Whoever runs this place needs to tear it down immediately! Â
Went here (unfortunately) for a bachelorette party. The party had a reserved area for all the girls. This was an all girl party, so when boys invaded the area, we were not having it. Come to my surprise one of the guys arguing with us was the so called "promoter" of the night. Talking about "this is my club! You bitches are at my table!" He then went on to SPILL his drink on me! The rest is not even worth typing...
I don't think this place even deserves one star. Â This "club" is a joke.
1. Â $5 for parking - RIP
2. Â $20 cover charge - Even bigger RIP
3. Â Beware, keys, cigarettes and various other objects are considered contraband and are thrown in a box which anyone leaving is allowed to rummage through. Â Sad part is, the security does not give a hoot.
4. Â Cocky, rude and down right invasive security guards and bouncers.
The most notable incident of the night played out as such.
Bouncer: "You're not allowed to bring in cigarettes." (which actually means you need to leave them here with me so I can smoke half the pack)
Myself: "People are smoking in the back, why am I not allowed to bring in my own?"
Bouncer: "I don't know" as he gives the *F you glare*
This place prides itself on hosting a "Memorial Weekend" party but shows no respect towards those who currently are serving.
Burn QC, Burn...I hope this place gets shut down.
Alright.
The first night my group of seven headed down, some stuck up fat girl in line near us threw a bitch fit for the homie trying to talk to her. not 'get at' her, make conversation. he was subsequently told he couldn't come in. after three of us paid our $15 entrance. strike one.
The second night we tried (like a month later) we had to pay for parking, on TOP of already having to pay to get in. strike two.
When we finally did get in, it was RIDICULOUSLY crowded. That picture of the crowd is almost exactly as i remember it. strike three.
now, don't get me wrong, loads of hot, albeit baby faced, 18 year old guys (though, i'm only 19 and i can get away with it). the dj on the main dance floor is pretty damn good. but between the two or three fights i saw that night (mostly girls hahaha), and the previous three strikes? i'm only going again if it's someone's birthday, or someone else is paying.
Honestly, I don't give a crap about more than half of the people that come here. The guys are just looking for a quick hookup if not a one night stand and the girls are 9 outta 10 times just looking to be sluttier than the next girl. But then again, what club isn't like that??
So I say, what the hell, bring on the hot douche bags and hoodrats and let me show y'all how I run this!
So my girls insisted I check out this place even though it's infested with 18 year olds and little minors who think they look 18. Despite the immature crowd, I went because nothing matters more than if the place is happening or not. Nice decor? cool Bouncers/ Security? Dope DJ? Good music? Exclusive lounge for 21 and over?? Count me in!!!!!!
We got there super early at 8pm because we knew one of the promoters who got us to the front of the 21 & over line and in for free! We had to wait until around 9:30pm when they start letting us in.The place was very nice and very spacious! But then it gets pretty packed on most nights. They were giving out some glow sticks, beads and Mardi Gras masks to celebrate Mardi Gras!
The dance floor sure held a lot of people though! Not to mention a sick ass DJ spinning the hottest tracks all night! And on the big screen, they were showing the Lakers game! Now that's how you do it! If that's not enough, the outside patio is big enough to hold a techno/ rave dance floor where the ravers started shuffling.
Met a lot of cool people and I honestly can say I danced more here than at any other club I've ever been to. The club played all my favorite songs and the crowd was super cool and chill and we even got to dance on the huge stage!!
The photographers were great paparazzi! Oh and ladies, the restroom is nice and clean!!!! Huge full length mirrors across the wall for your self admiration and tons of stalls so no waiting in line!!
I enjoyed myself and would totally come back since new up and coming artists often frequent this place for guest appearances and just a nice place to let loose with your closest friends!
=D
The cover is $15 which is way too much for this pseudo-hot spot. The bar tending staff is rude and everyone seems to charge different prices for drinks. The female bartender upstairs had no idea how to make a jager-bomb and instead of energy drink, she tried to give us diet coke. My friend got the receipt back and was reviewing it. The bartender did not appreciate the double checking so after my friend had signed it, the she snatched it out of her hand and muttered something under her breath.
The A-Hole bartender downstairs tried to tell me there was a $20 minimum on any credit card purchase. I totally regret not reporting this place to Visa since it's against policy to try to establish a minimum transaction amount. I argued with him for a moment and I decided to cancel my drink order. He threw my credit card back at me. Needless to say I was fuming.
I will never, EVER go back to QC's. You are better off staying home with a twelve pack, your iPod and a lava lamp. Honestly, I wish there was a zero star option. This place doesn't deserve a star.
Am I bitter? Slightly. Disrespected? Hell YES! lol
What do you get when you mix ghetto peeps, crappy bar tenders, and security guards on a power trip relentlessly eyeballing the jail bait???
Qc's.
Even with the Kiis fm nights it's not worth the trip unless your under 21. It's okay if you're underage, might even look fun to you but if you're over 21 what the heck are you doing here??
I hit this place a few times in high school only, and 10 years later it hasn't changed at all. It's not worth the time in my opinion.
To many shady peepz. There's plenty of better places to go that aren't far. Â When you leave there are a bunch of idiots drunks that can't hold their liquor or be composed but still trying to parking lot pimp it. LOL.
If this is your scene then it is what it is.
If you're bored in the early evening and want to catch a happy hour or see the game while staying in town it's not to bad. I think it's only 21 and over at those times.
Take a short drive to Alhambra and try a spot on main street or something if you don't want to go far and are on a budget.
Guys, you are not getting into this club if you don't have a girl with you. Â That's the bottom line. And if you do get denied you're shit out of luck my male friend because this place is in the boonies and there is nothing else around there back up wise...
A buddy and I (just the two of us) rolled through to this place on a Friday night. Â The bouncer didn't let us in because my friend's shoes weren't "dressy enough." Â My friend, perplexed by this comment pointed out that he had on dress shoes. Â They may not have been suited for a tuxedo or have been freshly shined at the airport, but they were full blown dress shoes. Â The bouncer simply repeated exactly what he had said before (I suspect he felt like a real douche saying it because he couldnt look us in the eye when he said it,) and that was that. Â
About a week later I told this story to a friend of mine and he started laughing and recounted a similar story as to how him and his two guy friends also were rejected because one of them wasn't "dressed up enough." Â The poor guy had on a dress shirt, slacks, etc.... apparently too. Â
Anyway, it turns out that the club has been sued before for sexual discrim. after more openly denying men in the past, so now they stick to the "that's not dressy enough" shpeel cuzz it's safer. Â
I think what pissed me off the most though wasnt the bullshit we encountered trying to get into the damn place, (that type shit happens everywhere I suppose), but rather how they scam these poor guys for parking money in the process. Â (The club is located on a private golf course, deep within the property, and you have to pay for "parking" at a kiosk at the entrance of the golf course.) In a way its a small cover charge just to be able to get to the front of the club because you can't walk to the club from the public street. Â Even though we had only pulled in for about 4-5 minutes the bitch at the kiosk wouldn't refund our money... Actually I think this happens so damn often, probably every 15 minutes, because she casually pointed to a giant sign that read "Sorry no refunds. No exceptions." Â They probably make an extra $250 a night this way.
This used to be the spot back in the day! The last time this place rocked was the July 4th weekend of...2003. Yes, its been 5 years.
I remember the times of buying priority tickets to bypass all the stupid lines and parking on the golf course grass. It would get that packed!
The music, drinks, women, were all off the hook--so long ago.
The few times we stopped by after '03 were jokes, the parking lot wouldn't even fill up 25%. It was sad. I knew a lot of the promoters but they shook the spot shortly after. You know how cool this spot used to be??? White girls from all around socal would stop by. That's right, in ghetto ass Montebello!!!
I don't know how it is now but I doubt it rules--I haven't heard any "buzz".
P.S. the ashley m review is a fake.
