I came here for lunch. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great! I had some delicious crab cakes that were almost entirely pure lump crab meat and my date ordered a turkey club, which she also enjoyed. I'd definitely go back.

Racks is one of the best restaurants in Mizner Park hands down. I always find myself comparing food elsewhere to the food at Racks and it never even comes close! Best calamari on earth. Tossed in a house secret buffalo sauce and topped with crumbled bleu cheese, candied peanuts, and celery. It's to die for!! They have great happy hour... Half of drinks and apps. Love everything here! Food, atmosphere, staff! Highly recommended! Ask for Tim, he is a great server! Always A+ service!

I've been here twice since moving here. Both times were good experiences. It's in a good location in Mizner Park. I'd definitely take people visiting here for at least a drink. It has the advantage that if your guests don't see anything on the menu here, there are a few other good options within walking distance.

The drinks are well made and the menu items were excellent. I like sitting at the bar along the edge that faces the outside. It's a nice atmosphere and somewhere I'll visit again, soon.

Trendy.  Food was excellent.  Wouldn't hesitate to come back.  Wife had chopped salad w chicken.  Veal meatloaf w mushroom was delicious.  Kids had burgers and Mac n cheese but the quality was outstanding.  This was high end versions.   Lots of eye candy too.

My favorite thing on the menu is the Fried Egg, aged cheddar, grilled onions and smokey bacon burger! There is a vibrant bar scene, fit for foodies, great for outdoor dining when you are bringing your pet dog, kid-friendly, neighborhood gem, notable wine list, hot spot!

Came here for happy hour on a Tuesday.

They have a few drink and food specials. We ordered the $5 dollar mojitos. They were delicious.

The place is nice and service is great. The bartenders are attentive and nice.

Need to come back here for dinner.

I have been 4 times and each time has been great. Place is beautiful and packed. By far best experience we had was when I took my brother in for dinner when he came down to visit from New York. It was a guys night out on the town and there was no seat at the bar and no tables available, this to me is a great sign! Hostess said 2 seats were available at the bar top portion of the pizza station. It was a great opportunity to watch chefs work while we eat. They were very interactive and even brought us a sampler tasting of a dish they were trying out. I give major kudos to those places with open kitchens who hide nothing and even bigger kudos who hire a kitchen staff capable of offering memorable moments for those who dine out for a living! Manager also came by to say hello and spoke to us for a few minutes, wish I could remember his name. Every time I go with anyone, we leave saying "great job all around".

There are so many restaurant choices in Mizner Park but Racks is always a great one! The ahi tuna tacos, pizzas and burgers are really good and so is the decor and service. I am also excited that they have a new restaurant in Delray Beach which is also really good!

I want to love this place but after three times, I just don't see it happening.  I asked for two different IPAs when I went recently and both ended up being out...  I ended up drinking cocktails.  The salad we ordered didn't have chicken as requested but they ended up removing it from the bill and one of our burgers had toppings that we did not ask for.  Every issue we had was handled politely and quickly but there were a lot of them.  On top of that the food was just meh.  The deviled eggs were boring but the truffle fries were good... Not great... good.   Its a pricey meal that is easy to forget.  I doubt we will go again.

    Fun restaurant for Mizner.

Self seating outside at high top tables or bar is the way to go.  They have a double sided bar that caters to the inside and outside of the restaurant.  If you want to pound a couple of drinks, have a smoke, watch the game and meat some interesting people definitely grab a seat outside.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.  When you sit at the bar, the bartender takes your order and essentially becomes your server.

We started with half dozen oysters.  We stayed away from the blue points as these are larger oysters which we are not crazy about.  I can't remember the other two varieties we had but they were average to slightly above average quality.

Blue cheese chop salad was very good and came well mixed and dressed.  If you don't like to much dressing, you may want to ask for it on the side and dress it yourself.  Pretty sure the chunks of cheese were not roquefort, but it was tasty nonethless.

For the meal we had a side of spinach and pizza with sausage, sauteed onions and red peppers.  Both were very good and pizza was extra tasty with the added spinach.  After enjoying a couple of slices, our pizza got a little cold and we asked them to re-heat it.  They happily obliged this request and returned 10 minutes later with an entirely new pizza.  Not necessary, but certainly a nice touch.

All in the all food was good, atmosphere fun and people certainly interesting.  Definitely worth a second visit.

We have that booth" nafter a few moments of deep thought we are ushered to the booth of my wife's dreams. comfortable,  near the bar.

Here's the review.  Ribs pretty good and enough for two,.spicy. Trout: very excellent and plenty too. Ceasar Salad:  left a little to be desired needs something more.

Bar looks great and wine list entices.  I like good bars and this is one.  Barmaids look too young to be really good--but that's my bias ....

    Manager, Brandon,  very charming..

    We'll be back.

Not a fan of the food for the most part but do enjoy coming for happy hour. The bartenders are friendly, especially Jay and Honey. Nice outside area, good drink selection and food is pretty decent for happy hour. They recently changed their menu so I will be back to check it out.

Just an OK meal.  Hostess seated us in the back of the restaurant, outside on a warm Friday evening and the restaurant was not full.  The seating occurred prior to my arrival.

The location is excellent in Misner Park.  The decor is nice, menu mostly $30+ entrees.

Service is below expectation.  The servers gave me a large steak knife when my son ordered the steak. Then did not recognize us when they returned with the food.  This is what one would expect at Friday's.

My wife and I split a large salad prior to dinner and ordered it as such and they brought it on one plate.  Servers who want to meet client expectations split the salad.

I ordered the chicken with gnocchi, peas, carrots expecting some starch with my meal.  Frankly I ordered the entree because of the gnocchi, only to find 3 pieces of gnocchi after discussing the gnocchi with the  server.  He knew that was of interest to me.  Fortunately they brought an additional order - perhaps 10 pieces additional.

In the end...local friends said that was good and I agree.  Then they stated...we should have gone to max's grill next door.  I agree.

Fun Saturday night with our friends.  Seated right away, great service.  Cocktails served quickly.   Pretzel rolls good.  I had the crab cakes which were yummy.  My fellow diners had fish, the sea bass and the Bronzino and the tuna.   They had salads before which were very tasty. We had no trouble parking -$5 for valet in front of the restaurant.
I was pleasantly surprised.  After reading the reviews I had low expectations but we all enjoyed this place.  Dessert was ice cream sundae -decadent. Four of us were stuffed by then.  Cool interior.  A little loud but not obnoxious.

Great atmosphere. The staff is always friendly. My favorite app is the ahi tuna tacos.. they are amazing. As an entree, I usually get the arugula goat cheese salad or the crab cake salad, both are extremely flavorful and a nice light dinner on a summer night. Their menu is eclectic and is usually a crowd pleaser, so going there with a group is always good.

Thursday night happy hour is the best. Get there early to avoid the rush.

First experience here was much better than the last. In fact, after my table ordered a few apps, I passed on ordering a main entree because the food was simply mediocre.

The only entree that peaked my interest was a roasted chicken with gnocchi- come to find out the gnocchi is only a garnish (why tease me by listing it on the description?!)

Mac & cheese reminded me of the Stouffers version my mom fed us as kids. Thick, tasteless, cheesy elbows.

Snapper was ordered by my friends- came with skin still on the bottom which I found a bit unappetizing.

What was most unappetizing was realizing how pricey the menu is. There are a handful of other restaurants to go to with food that lives up to it's cost.

    Service was great, though.

3 stars...but ONLY for happy hour. Everyday from 4-7pm you can enjoy half price drinks and appetizers. Please, please don't make the total sucker move we made and go here when it's not half off because it's simply not worth what you pay for.

For starters we ordered lobster mac and cheese; yes it was small but I liked it...the rest of the table thought it tasted like Kraft from the blue box. The ribs with the apple bbq sauce were pretty awful. When you bite into them you get a mouthful of disguised fat and nothing about them was even thinking about falling off the bone. The bite sized corn bread on the side was it's saving grace. I am a big fan of spicy food and calamari but Racks managed to mess that up also. It is drenched in a wing sauce that make the crispy/fried coating it once had soggy! They should maybe think about putting the sauce on the side, really.

For my meal I ordered the $11 "yesterdays french onion soup...because it just tastes better" Well maybe they should try serving today's french onion soup because even though it was loaded with 4-5 different onions and drooling with cheese it didn't meet my expectations...and I burnt my hand on the little pot like 3 times! Less is more in the case of french onion soup, and I just think they over-do it. The table ordered the blackened Snapper special for dinner. I am not a big fish eater but it was pretty good, not fishy at all, but like everything else on the menu it was overpriced; and the side dishes were weak.

After being totally disappointed with the food here we decided to skip on desert. The waitress was really sweet and the check came faster than the free water. Yes we ordered a lot of drinks (maybe 10?), a round of shots, 3 appetizers, and 2 entrees the bill came out to $225 plus tip.

I was thankful for the free warm pretzels served but maybe they should just serve the microwaveable Super Pretzel, even they are softer than Rack's version.

Overpriced and unoriginal pretty much sums this place up, for better options in walking distance head to Max's next door or Yardhouse across the street.

The free pretzel bread and the Ribs appetizer ($16 bucks) had Sam's Club written all over them. The ribs were some of the worst I've had.  The Lobster Mac n Cheese was $18, last I checked a box of Easy Mac was $2 and that was the quality of this Mac, so that makes the 5 pieces of lobster (we counted) to make up for the other $16.  Seems like pretending to fancy up Mac n Cheese is the latest way for restaurants to trick you into spending big for a easy common dish. The Buffalo Calamari should be changed to Buffalo Peanuts because they were stingy with the squid and heavy on the Planters.  The $10 french onion soup was good, it had plenty of cheese and tumbleweeds on top, but no liquor, definitely an overpriced soup.

The blackened snapper tasted fresh, at least it's good to know $33 dollars can still get you something decent in Mizner.

The service was great and somehow the place was very busy, money must be burning holes in the pockets of those that frequent Mizner's trap restaurants.

I'd never come back here, the prices don't match the food quality, ambiance is ok but nothing original.

Years ago I used to frequent a place called Pranzos. It was a great alternative when Max's Grille was too crowded. That place today is now called Rack's. It's the same owner (Gary Rack) also behind the high-end coal fire pizza joint Table 42.

Rack's shares a similar atmosphere to Pranzos and the interior design hasn't been altered much, but the food has. They brought pretzel bread to the table upon our request and it was decent but reminded me of SuperPretzels. Being from Philly, pretzels are a religion.

We started with a few appetizers such as the spicy buffalo calamari, lobster mac & cheese, charcoal ribs and French onion soup.

The mac & cheese was real disappointing. It was equivalent to the kind you get at Sweet Tomatoes. There was decent bites of lobster, but it couldn't save this dish that featured small elbows and a watery cheesy sauce draped all over the plate. I'm almost convinced it was Kraft served with some lobster meat.

The spicy buffalo calamari was pretty decent. I'm a huge calamari fan, so anytime its on the menu it will be had. Average size rings drenched in what tasted like Footies wing sauce.

The ribs, well lets just say for the price ($14) you got what seemed like 1/3 of a slab and they were pretty bad. Leaving the $11 French Onion soup.

Based on the images it looked amazing. It was underwhelming as you can get. The presentation sells it, but for the price it just wasn't up to par.  At this point we were contemplating just leaving and ordering our meals across the street at Yardhouse.

Somehow guilt got the best of us (probably the few drinks we had) and decided to try the daily special which was snapper. Ever feel like no matter what you do you're continue with bad decision making? That was what we all felt like at Racks. We should have all had on those cliche shirts that said failing at life because we were doing it pretty hard at this point.

I wish I wasn't being so truthful, but the restaurants in Mizner Park with the exception of just a few, are all pretty much disappointments. Maybe you're paying for ambiance. Maybe it's the clientele but Racks did not do it any justice. For what it's worth, the service was excellent though.

Racks is a well decorated restaurant with an attentive wait staff. You can see that expenses nor details were spared with the design of the interior. Unfortunately for the restaurant they decided to focus all of the attention on design and atmosphere and not on the food.

The restaurant serves pretzel instead of your typical bread basket. I am not a big fan of pretzels although on occasion I will get one at the mall or at the fair. I decided to give it a try and the pretzel had the texture of a rock and the taste of paper, it would be perfect for a game of rock, paper, scissors.  For appetizers we ordered the buffalo calamari, ribs, lobster mac and cheese, and french onion soups. Its hard to mess up calamari but Racks found a way to. The calamari wasn't that bad but its disrespectful for a higher end restaurant to serve it with buffalo sauce, let Hooters or Bru's serve it that way. The ribs were decent. The lobster bite (notice no "S" at the end of bite) in the mac and cheese was good but the mac tasted watered down and led me to believe it was from a frozen box. Like Nick A stated everything tasted like thecooked food you can get at Sam's Club/ Costco.

We ordered the fish filet, blackened snapper. The serving size was sufficient enough to be shared which we ended up doing. As for the fish, it was a little to dry for my liking. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the seasoning or taste of the fish.

All in all, this restaurant is a one and done like Austin Rivers. I tried it once but I do not see myself going back. Not when I could walk across the circle and go to Ruby Tuesdays for a better meal at 1/2 the cost. For what you can end up paying at Racks for food there are so much better options ( pretty much every restaurant) in the area.

Needed a place to chill after a long weekend in the office and decided to try this place out.

Came here during happy hour and I must say, it was a great deal.  Half a dozen oysters, buffalo calamari and 4 vodka martini only ran me about $40.

The bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendation and I'll definitely come back here again to try the other items when I'm back in town.

FREE WINE?  Yes, please!  I came here last Thursday for happy hour (4-7pm), which also includes half off appetizers.  I didn't get a chance to have the food because i was so engulfed in the free wine idea.  However, I have heard amazing things about their mac & cheese.  I am coming back next Thursday for some mac & cheese along with some wine.

The crowd here is a mixed age group.  It was a nice mixture and everyone seem to be having an awesome time just as our group was.

I loved this place.  I will be back for the food and let my fellow yelpers know how it goes.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor at this establishment.  They have an excellent concept.  Everyone mentioned the pretzel bread, which was promptly brought to us after being served our first cocktail, despite being bar patrons.

I think with a group, casual business meeting, cocktail hours, or an intimate dinner for two this would be a nice choice.  Lively modern feel. Will return to try more of the menu items.

Racks is an exceptionally attractive restaurant with a lively vibe that makes it a very inviting place to eat or enjoy some drinks at the large and bustling bar.

The menu is short and unpretentious, and the kitchen does a nice job putting out some very appealing basics like grand burgers, tasty fish, tempting pizzas, various steaks and an assortment of salads. The menu allows you to travel more upscale if you like. By the way, the colossal onion rings taste as good as they look.

You're in fashionable Mizner Park, sitting alongside Max's Grill and valets parking Porsches and Ferraris...so expect to pay a few extra dollars for drinks and food than you would across town. The service is also top notch.

So go ahead and splurge a little and join the spirited crowd here.  I think you'll rack up a good time.

From start to finish, we loved our dining experience at Racks.  We did not make reservations for dinner on a Sunday night and were able to be sat right away.  Granted, we were on the back patio as the evening was perfect for enjoying the weather and it seemed many of the diners who had arrived prior to us agreed.  We did have a wonderful view inside of the restaurant though and it's quite exquisite.

Our party of four started with the Onion Rings and the Mac and Cheese.  The rings were great, they were served with two dipping sauces and we requested a third, an aoili which was listed on the menu to accompany a different dish.  The jalepeno ranch was so interesting and could easily become the next big condiment.
The Mac and Cheese was great, not the best I have had but you can bet the four of us finished the dish.  In fact, had it knocked my socks off, we would have needed two servings as the one really gave each of us quite a small side - a taste.  Additionally, we had been served a pretzel bread basket to start.  This was so creative, very fitting for the scene.

I had the House Cut Fettuccine with a phenomenal white sauce, mushrooms and peas.  My entree was amazing and was easily shared with others at the table.  Dinner companions enjoyed the Fish Tacos, a Pizza and a Mediterranean Salad.

We split the S'mores for dessert and I think this was the best rendition I have had of the S'mores for dessert trend.  Don't miss out.

Drinks were enjoyed, the wine list did not offer anything to wow me by the glass, I got lucky as the bar had a bottle of one of my favorites open, I was able to order two glasses at half the cost of the bottle and received robust pours too.

The service was exceptional.  Our waiter really listened to our questions and preferences, was attentive without spoiling the conversation and kept a good pace for our dinner.

Atmosphere, food and service - Racks is the place for a wonderful night out.

My grandma (RIP) doesn't live here, so what am I doing in Boca? Having a very nice lunch, thank you very much.

In the shadow of the /well-known, Max's Grille sits this surprisingly lovely place with comfy tables outside, a pretty dining room inside, a cool litle vibe and good food and attentive service all around.

On a sunny day outing to the nearby art museum, we stopped here looking for a place with a little somethin' somethin' (or anything that wasn't just like everything else at Mizner). Racks Downtown delivered!

The design and feel of the place is a little more downtown funky than the usual overly groomed/botoxed Boca joint. The menu is less cookie-cutter as well.  It changes regularly to feature  fresh local produce and organic fare, or so our very attentive waiter told us.  He was very quick and cool and knew everything about the menu so, I trust him - and loved the food he served up:

The calmari  - all rings, suprising light, with a spicy buffalo wing kind of sauce that had a fabulous bite.  The seared tuna salad served Aisan style was crunchy tasty and served in one of those chinese take-out boxes:   fun to look at - even better to eat.  My man had a  beefy looking sandwich with brie and chicken and tomato and some bacon, I think.  I'm not sure because he devoured it quickly.  To drink, they have some craft beers to choose from and creative specialty drinks. I went for their pear martini  -twice. It  was a perfect first and second drink of the day --  light, not too sweet with a touch of prosecco.

I can't say that Boca is my kind of town - I just don't have enough eye-burning jewlery, or a blinged-out car or perfectly manicured pure bred purse-dog. BUT, I do like a change  of pace once in a while, and good food.  So, Boca baby - thanks to Racks, I'll be back.

Dare I say that my dinner at Racks was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences ever? Yes! A thousand times yes!

Honestly, it did not start off well. The Matre'D and the hostess at the front were running the place like a madhouse. We had an 8pm reservation, showed up at 7:50, so we were fine with waiting the 10 minutes we were told to wait for our table. 8pm came and went, and after not even remembering talking to us, we ditched the Matre'D and talked to the manager, who got us a table in about 5 minutes and apologized.

Everything from then on was amazing.

Firstly, when you walk in you're immediately greeted by jaw-dropping decor: dark wood, metallic accents, and strange (yet nice) chandeliers taking up the entire ceiling. The bar is large and accommodating, too, and there is a raw bar for everyone to see.

The menu is small, but you can find anything on it: meat, seafood, chicken, raw bar items, and burgers. Also, they have a number of daily specials, all of which our waiter (Lee) knew of: ingredients, prep, price, serving, etc. Our dishes were served quickly, too.

I shared an order of mac and cheese for my appetizer and it was definitely the best mac and cheese I've ever had. I ordered a drink (I can't remember the name!) that had absinthe and tasted like lemonade - very good! My meal was the special of the night: crab cake salad. It was amazing and surprisingly filling! The crab cakes (which you MUST order!) are more crab than cake, which is always a good thing! Minimal breading, maximum crab! I wasn't the only one pleased with my meal; around our table, everyone was amazed at the quality of their dish.

We weren't planning on getting dessert, but once we heard about the s'mores, we had to get it. A brownie (still in the small cast-iron pan) topped with graham cracker crumbs and finished off toasted marshmallows, served with ice cream on the side. This paired with the French-press coffee was a great end to the meal!

Overall, the front of the house is awful - I hope they change this soon. The manager, our waiter, the decor, the food, the drinks... all of this completely makes Rack's a five-star restaurant for me! Don't miss it!

I'm very conflicted about this review because a lot happened during our dinner at Racks. First and foremost, we were given the responsibility of finding reservations on Christmas for EIGHT people (family friends joined our family of four) the night before Christmas. After calling many places, I decided that it would just be easier to see who was open using OpenTable. We were thrilled to find out Racks was open and quickly called to make res.

    Quick review:

Service - 3.5 stars (I drink a lot of water and like it when servers are attentive to keeping my glass filled, it spent a good portion of the night empty... also, we were strung along for quite some time when our food took an extra 20-30 minutes to prepare)

Food - 4.5 stars (We very much enjoyed it, and based on the quality and taste, we'd definitely be back)

Ambiance - 4 stars (place is interestingly decorated, intimate and wasn't too loud to enjoy a conversation)

Manager - 0 stars (failed to make good on his promise, inappropriate apology and sending an appetizer post-entree is ridiculous)

We might be back during non-peak season and hopefully our next experience will be way better.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Long review:

We were told that the only time they could seat a party of 8 was at 8:45 which is a little late for us. We made the reservations - left our name and number, and then called back 5 minutes later to see if 2 tables of 4 at an earlier time was possible. We spoke to a different person who assured us that 2 tables of 4 at 7:45 would be reserved under the name we had previously called with - we confirmed the name and number, again.

Fast forward to 7:45, both families pull up and valet the cars. We walk to the restaurant excited as we had scoped out the menu earlier and had heard great things about Racks. We get to the front desk and they tell us that we have a reservation for a party of 8 at 8:45 and there's no record of our 2 tables of 4. We explain the situation to the gentleman who was quite indifferent to our plight and he said he would see what we could do. 20 minutes of waiting, we were finally seated at 2 tables of 4.

Our table of 4 was served by Nick, a very nice and seemingly attentive gentleman. We ordered our food - a ceasar salad and pizza, greek horitaki salad and fried egg burger. over roasted artichoke and raw bar platter with extra stone crab added on.

Our other table was not as lucky as THREE of the meals one person ordered were out of "stock", forcing him to spend $36 on fish instead of the $21 on chicken (a huge price difference). It took three returns to finally get the order in and the manager offered his apologies and offered to comp their appetizers as an apology - fine.

Our appetizers come out - caesar had a kick to it, greek horitaki was more lettuce than anything, and over artichoke was delicious - we were thrilled and really looking forward to our entrees.

20 minutes or so later, Nick swings by saying that our food is almost ready. No problem - we're not in a rush. Another 15 minutes later, we're a little concerned and I walk over to our other table to see how things are going after the ordering fiasco and realize they are just finishing their entrees!

We call Nick over to ask what's going on and he apologizes saying that the kitchen is slow and our food will be out soon. A  few minutes later, fish tacos are on our table, compliments of the chef as a sorry for the long wait... alright, we'll take it. The fish tacos were delicious but we really would like our food, as the other half of us has long since finished.

At the same time as our fish tacos, our other table, who has finished their entrees, received an appetizer "courtesy" of the manager. When we got the bills, we'd soon find out that this appetizer was the "comped appetizer" not the appetizers our party had in fact ordered, waited for and enjoyed. This after-fact appetizer was done in poor taste and quite late!

Finally, 40-50 minutes post-appetizers our food has arrived. My burger was delicious, raw bar platter was good and the pizza was well-overdone but tasty.

There was an argument with the manager and waiter over our bills (a problem with the raw bar platter and the appetizers not being comped) and we were out of there.

Overall, we might be back. It was a very discouraging experience despite the fact that our food was delicious. Manager should get his head screwed on right and realize that comping appetizers does not mean giving free appetizers that no one wants after the entree has been eaten. That's poor taste and etiquette in my opinion. We weren't looking to score free food and he offered to comp - follow through on that offer don't generate another that leaves us feeling like we after free food.

I was booked here for lunch.
My party arrived a little late so I spent time with Honey (that's her name, really) at the bar a most charming lady.
My crab cake salad was fabulous.
The service and ambiance was great.
There's so much on the menu to go back for.
Walk past the other restaurants in front and go to racks!!!!
It's my new favorite in Boca.

I love the atmosphere at Rack's! I'm an interior designer and I definitely was impressed by this place. Its very unique and different compared to the other restaurants here in Mizner. It steps away from the typical Boca style with the traditional, over-the-top woodwork. Instead they have these awesome nautical-inspired chandeliers made of actual rope and this very sensual red lighting outside. The bar is centrally located so you don't even have to walk two feet before ordering your first drink. It's also in a great location if you want to hang out locally.

As for the food, I wish it weren't so pricey. I'd come here with my friends a lot more if it were a tad more reasonable. However, the food is good. And the drinks are great as well. I ordered the raw tuna tacos to share (its three small tacos so it could be more appropriate for one person, or to share as an appetizer). My friend was ranting and raving about it but I thought they were a bit bland. I've ordered their burgers, pizza (or flatbread?), and a goat cheese salad... all were delicious (especially the salad, yum!!). They make a great dirty martini too and they serve it in the metal glass so the vodka stays cold. The service is usually friendly and on track, so thats one less thing you'll have to worry about.

If you're looking for something different, I'd say why not! Prices aside, its a fun place for dinner and some drinks (just depends what time you go, you might catch the early birds!).

Right in the center of Mizner and behind the bustling valet loop is the trendy LED light up Racks.
I first heard of this place after yoga in the locker room a lady was making reservations for her friends to go out to this new restaurant...new???!

I love it need to go! Racks sounds like antlers to me.
I have been here several times and remember the first time to be the best...the portions were more generous.

There are pretty hostesses here. The theatrical chandeliers that are made of rope give it a nautical theme. There's a huge banquet table that has a spoon fork chandelier very cute.

There are plenty of booths, and an indoor/ outdoor bar thats very busy and fun.

Women be careful with your heels you might slip so walk slow on the tile floor.

There is a craft beer selection too which is nice.

The Tuna Tacos are really good but am disappointed that each time the tacos have changed and gotten smaller..they're still really good sushi grade rare tuna cubed and soo tasty.

The salmon is cooked perfectly and the food is great.

Its a people watching, fun place

    Fellow Yelpers,

I finally expanded my sphere of exquisite influence to south Florida this weekend as yours truly made a trip down to visit a good friend whom I had not seen in quite some time.

We were looking for a good place to have a nice dinner at on Saturday night.  Being that I am not from the area, my good friend and his charmingly energetic and attractive female friend led the way in picking the right place.  However, they were not sure of where to eat given that there were three great options available in the area.  Therefore, I was the ultimate decision maker as the third party.

After some back and forth of indecision like a high school girl who is picking out a dress for the prom we finally decided on Rack's as I smacked my version of Thor's Hammer down for the final verdict.  I asked for a table for three and we were promptly sat in a great spot as we had a view of the entire restaurant.

We then had the pleasure of meeting Lee, a man whose short stature was overlooked by his jovial personality when introducing himself to us and explaining the specials and how the restaurant itself worked.  He told us that on Mondays this place has a special wine night where all wines are 50% off, this is my non quick, quick tip.

Since my friend had been so kind to me all weekend and his female friend as well for granting us her presence, I ordered us all a bottle of wine and took care of the appetizers.  I ordered the Duck Tacos (see my photo) as the appetizer after Lee told us about it as it was one of the night's specials and the three of us seemed to simultaneously nod in taste budding agreement.  My buddy got the Deviled eggs (see my photo) as well.

The Duck Tacos were absolutely delicious with a tender and crisp taste mixed in with a plum sauce and other ingredients which slip my always astute and attentive memory.  If you ever see this available, order on the spot.

The Deviled Eggs were good as well, but I could have easily passed them up for another option as a second appetizer.  It was very filling and well presented.  The mayonnaise topping went down like a peanut butter smoothie.

We then placed our orders.  I had the Veal Mushroom meatloaf (see my photos), my good friend had a Salmon entrée and his friend had the Filet Mignon.  Unfortunately, I have no pictures of either dishes.

My meatloaf was actually delicious.  A chewy and chunky peace of meatloaf that did not taste like yesterday's burger nor tomorrow's meatballs.  The accompanying mashed potatoes were chunky and delicious as well as the veggies.  I recommend it.

My friend's Salmon tasted delicious, I'm not sure what gave it such a sweet taste, but I would recommend it as well based on one bite only!  The presentation was also very well done.

Finally for the vivacious lady, she had a Filet Mignon after some male peer pressure as she was juggling her female indecision gene between fish and meat since she is not a big meat eater (no dirty minds here please, show some respect).  She seemed to have enjoyed it a lot and I am glad she did because no one wants an unhappy and unsatisfied woman around...they must always be pleased and happy so that the night can continue to be a great one (no white knight).  The dish looked great as well.

Overall, I highly recommend this place.  It's a very trendy, fun and well decorated restaurant with a great ambiance and atmosphere (see interior photos as well in my album posts).  There is a nice outdoor area as well for those who can brave the south Florida heat and not melt like the polar caps in the mythical global warming scenario presented by Al Gore in an all too convenient inconvenient truth.

    Out like trout.

Beautiful place!  This place was unbelievable...and it's totally hidden behind Max's Grille.  Once you walk in, the firs things you see are these wonderful chandeliers  that are made from white rope and have little lights hanging in the middle of them.  The bar is an inside/outside bar and has benches for seats (padded of course)..very cool and different.  There is a side-bar type seating area to your left encircled around their wood-fire oven.  I even saw a chandelier made from forks, knives, and spoons!  very very very cool place...Really a surprise because I hate all the stupid, richy places in Mizner..This place is upscale, but it's much different and way cooler.

The food:  As good as it gets!  I had the corn chowder soup which was great, but i have to report...this place converted me away from anti-french onion soup because after one taste of their french onion, i was literally hooked..and i hated french onion!  I also had the tuna tacos (a starter) which was really really good...they use a home made idaho potato slice as their taco shell, and raw, sushi grade tuna with some guacamole and fresh veggies UUGGHHH!!!! SOO GOOD!!  it's been a while since i had some truly good food like this.  Of course, i did get my Caesar salad, which was also great!  nice and light on the dressing, chopped, with shredded parm cheese..on the small side, but it says that on the menu.

Go here, i heard their dessert was also very good, i didnt get to try because i was there for lunch and i usually save my chocolate feast for the evenings.  check this place out!
