As far as a local bar goes, I am sure it is fine. Â Went today for some St Patty's Day food, uh....it was silly. Â This corned beef was rough, tough and uneatable, sent back. Â The saddest was the chicken club. Â This sando had all the dark/black bits of a chicken scattered through the tiny excuse for a $7 sandwich. Â 3 of our party of 4 couldn't (and didn't) eat. Â
I am so critical only because I have eaten here in the past and it has been decent. Â This place needs to rework its menu, and if it hopes to provide "lunch crowd" drawing food, it needs to step up. Â
The server/bartender was extremely nice and accomodating.
I am rooting for this spot and will update this review based on future experiences, if there are any.
The good news is, I heard this place went out of business (no surprise). What an absolute crap hole. Smelly, nasty bathrooms with holes in the walls. This isn't a new development. The owner (the same dude who owns Regan's in Orangevale and the same guy that ran the Zinfandel Grill out of business in Rocklin has put his "Midas Touch" on this place too. The Goal was clear; "Defer all maintenance, pocket as much money as possible, and then walk away from the lease." I guess it's good to have a plan.
For Monday night football they had cheap tacos, and were frequently out of the popular draft beers. Here's a tip: If the bathrooms are nasty and unclean, don't expect the kitchen to be any better. Rot in Hell, Rebounds.
Whenever I entered this joint I sorely missed its predecessor
MacGyver's. What was a quiet, laid-back sports bar had mutated into a meat market for Sierra College students and local cougars. The usual MM sins are in full-effect: music that's too loud for conversations to be comprehenisble, bartenders who specialize in shooters and boilermakers for drinkers who just turned 21, and cover charges that are way too high. Go to the cocktail lounge at the bowling alley down the street instead.
amazing food, cheap drinks, great people, tons of screens.
i spent most of my 21st birthday there. Â first drink on the house, and she treated me very well. Â very up front about prices, and fair.
drinks were cheap, strong, and made quick. Â 3 buck u call its, 1 dollar tacos on a tuesday night. Â the place was pretty quiet. Â karaoke was awesome, some great singers in there. Â clientele is very friendly, large range of ages.
it'll definitely be my new regular hangout.
disregard everything you've heard about bar food. Â AMAZING EATS.
This is a fun little joint to go to on a Thursday night. Â It used to be called McGuivers - I have no idea why they changed the name. Â Anyways, they have darts, pool, and dancing here. Â The female bartender is pretty efficent. Â My drinks always come out tasting just right. Â The bad thing is that they usually only have 3 bartenders and 20-30 people gathered around the bar trying to get drinks. Â Unless you know the bartender or have HUGE tits, you usually have to wait until the buzz you started is gone before you get your next drink.
