We rode in on a boat and were greeted by a beach full of drinking rednecks. Â Pretty good stuff.
Ordered some Orange Crushes, some beers(draft and bottle) and some food that included sliders and wings. Â Our server was attentive and we drank and drank. Â The inside had pool tables, a juke box, and lots of neon blue. Â The drink specials look amazing, with beer being sold on differant days in the $1.50 to $2 range. Â Probably wouldnt take my wife out for fancy dinner here but i could stop by for some beer and food with some friends.
Well, I probably was the oldest dude in there, but I felt incredibly welcomed, and when me and my gal were pressing lips, nobody told us to "get a room."
This was school girl night and wow, were those bartenders hot. Â Blondie you were the best! Â The band was Tension, and they rocked. Â Danced our butts off, had yummy drinks and people were friendly to this Montco dude. Â Loved the place, will be back but can you move closer to Rockville please? Â Can't wait to return on a warm eve and sit by the water, and speaking of water, tap would be fine, keep the bottled stuff for someone else.
Interesting place. Â I'll say some of Glen Burnie's finest were on display. Â Colorful crowd indeed. Â This is the last place that I've been too that I've seen a fight break out at 3pm in the afternoon. Â They do have the waterside location and a huge deck. Â The drinks are relatively cheap 3 buckets of beer 9 shots of patron an order of wings and nachos for around $100 plus tip, not a bad deal. Â The wings are really good. Â Hot is not that hot. Â Nachos, you could skip. Â Looking forward to returning in the summer.
Review Source:We have been going here for many weeks to watch the game. They are great about giving you a tv for your game, even if it's not the Ravens! The beers are cheap, though the mixed drinks are way over priced. (6.50 for a plastic cup of their version of an orange crush--but the Natty Boh is less than 2 bucks a draft.)
The shrimp toast and wings are great, especially for bar food. Though service is very spotty-- very inconsistent. Which is where their problem lies.
On our last visit: we had been there for several hours spending quite a bit if money, we asked for 2 waters. And were told we'd have to pay for them--which is something we had not had to do any other time we'd been there. We then asked for just tap water, only to be told that they think their tap water isn't good enough to serve (so how are you cooking our food?). Instead of their 'undrinkable' tap water, they have these bottles of water with the bar name on it that they make you purchase. We asked to speak to the manager and he explained all this as nice as could be, but seriously what bar charges for water!!! Â On this idiotic policy alone and the hard time they gave us, we'll find somewhere else to watch the game and spend our money.
We will however miss boating over to a bar on game day!
So all in all a good dive bar for watching the game, but we wary of the water scam.
Terrible, even for dive bars. Went for the happy hour specials that included domestic bottles. Got my friend and I a couple of Yuenglings, but was charged full prince because "they're imports". WTF? Needless to say it was the last time I'll step foot in that place. Considering this is owned by the same group that owns Bamboo Bernies and Cancun Cantina, I'm not surprised.
Review Source:They have to die for crab dip... seriously the best. Â Comes with a warm loaf of bread. Â I had the salad here once and it was pretty good as well. Â The waitresses dress slutty but they're all very very nice and friendly, and aren't whores at all, in fact, they get pretty catty when the men get over friendly. Â I like it. Â During the summer it's so crowded but the outside beach area is the cause of that, its beautiful. Â You can pull up in your boat and dock, drink, eat, and be on your way. Â The only complaint is that it's a biker bar. Â I love bikers, but there are so many of them, i am scared to park in their little parking lot with all those bikes, and they travel in such large groups.
Review Source:This is one of the harder ratings I have decided to give here on yelp. Â The rating I would give this place during the summer would be FIVE stars, without question. Â During the summer, the outdoor seating section is HEAVENLY.
You see, the back of RR's is right on an arm of the Chesapeake Bay, and they have built a beach behind their place! Â You can go grab a table in the sand on a nice hot summer day, take your shoes off and drink some frosty cold beer! Â Got a boat? Â BRING IT! Â They have docks for boat parking in the back!!! Â I've seen people bring their party boats to this place. Â I myself kayak here in the summer often. Â My girlfriend lives on the same arm of the Bay that Ric's is on. Â This is hand's down the coolest spot to be for hundreds of miles during the summer.
So why did I give it only THREE stars? Â Cause summer ain't long enough in these here parts! Â Once the beach isn't habitable, this place takes a SERIOUS nose-dive in its enjoyability factor. Â Once you find yourself forced inside during the off-season, you find a loud (sometimes obnoxiously so), sometimes crowded pool hall with an........interesting crowd. Â The Glen Burnie scene can be quite colorful.
Pool tables a plus. Â And another plus (at least for those lusty after the ladies) is that Reckless Ric's employs ridiculously hot and skin-happy waitresses and bartenders. Â Â A nice thing to have when enjoying your spirits, at least if you're writing THIS review, which I am.
Overall, 3 stars, but the best place to be in the summer, no doubt.
