I went here to celebrate after a final exam last semester. I just ordered a chicken quesadilla - nothing super exciting about it, but it was tasty. I would be willing to go back since it is close to a lot of things for me. Service was nothing exceptional - middle of the road. Middle of the road is what I would say in general.

This sports bar is conveniently adjacent to the Hilton Troy and will deliver to your hotel room.  The various food items I've tried to date have been good, for bar food.  I had lunch here recently and ordered the lunch menu Sliders and requested they be cooked medium-rare.  This dish came with sweet potato fries, and not many of them.  They should have included some salad on the plate.  When my dish arrived, the sliders were extremely WELL DONE.  I was pressed for time and simply alerted the waitress and asked her to mention it to the kitchen.  What astounded me at that moment was that she didn't offer to correct the problem.  A basic of customer service is give the customer what they asked for!  When she appeared with the bill, she finally offered to remove the item from the bill.  That was a nice "save" on the waitress's part.  I would ask the kitchen staff to ensure hot food is actually served hot.  This sports bar has a casual, comfortable, friendly environment but I would like to see the quality of food and service increase.  This place could learn much about food and service quality from The Cheesecake Factory.

Slow doesn't describe the service. Food is decent but overpriced. It's one of a few places in Troy that is safe and clean.

    service is slow.

The tables have a radio that you can turn on to listen to any game playing on the tvs in the restaurant.

I get to Troy and it's 10:30pm. I'm looking out the window of the hotel room and all the other restaurants up and down Hoosick Street are closed. So I go down to Recovery, thinking, "This will be a compromise."

I spotted the Lake Placid Hefeweizen tap right away. A glass of Hefeweizen and potstickers were ordered. The beer was wonderful served in a chilled glass. The potstickers arrived on a bed of red cabbage with a vinegarette dressing. The potstickers had a dipping sauce. No compromise here, just a nice way to wrap up the day! Very nice. I was starving and wolfed down everything.

I expected the servers might be grumpy when some guy walks in and orders this stuff 25 minutes before closing. They were good folks.

They have a boat load of televisions. There are these cool wireless speakers they hand out if you want to hear the audio for a particular television screen. You can tell I don't get out much, but these things are great! They have a really sanitary compression amplifier and are band-limited to pass voice. Their audio is Motorola-Centracom-like. Set one in front of you and you can clearly hear the desired channel without washing out a conversation. Are these things Bluetooth, Ethernet, or analog 900 MHz? Whatever they are, they're an ideal addition to any bar or restaurant with televisions!

    I'd definitely go here again.

This is your typical sports bar. Memorabilia coves the walls, there are a lot of TV's and the food is average. We tried 5 different apps and as many entrees. Some were above average, some, like the nachos, well below average. The one thing that bothered me and maybe I have issues (ha), but I ordered the same mixed drink three times and it came in three different sized/shaped glasses. This just bothered me.

Overall a typical sports bar. Our waitress was cute and bubbly so she was a good addition. It is quite large and open so I am sure it gets loud.

Me and my boys I work with stopped in for Thursday night football.  We've been to the Recovery Sports Bar in Verona before and the food and atmosphere was great.  This Troy, NY location was far from Verona.  We ordered the wings which were great as usual, but the nachos were soggy and nasty. Then half way thru the 4th quarter they started putting the chairs up on the tables around is and vacuuming.  Call me crazy but that's unexceptable where I'm from.  So we finally ask for our tab once the game ends and it came to $104.45 so we left $125.00, which we thought was generous despite the surroundings.  Then as we're finishing our drinks our portly waitress (who's name I cannot remember, but we'll call a few sprinkles sort of a cupcake) comes to our table and asks "would you guys like some change?". We replied "no it's all good, thank you." She quickly retorted that she really didn't want our 55 cent tip! We then reminded her that we left her $125 dollars, so she readily whipped out the money we left her counting it like a pawn shop broker before realizing that 2 twentys were stuck together....it was the can I get away moment of the week.  TV's are great! Service is terrible.

It's a sports bar with the emphasis on the drinking and not so much on the eating.  Well, maybe on unhealthy eating.  Healthy eating gets a frowny face.

There were 2 things on the menu I could eat, so I had them four nights.  Everything is breaded and fried, which is kind of what you expect in what is essentially a short-order kitchen.  A couple of the serves are very good with great personalities.  Some of them?  Feh. Not so much.  It's one small step shy of hurling your food at you and mugging you with the check.  Did you want something else? Tough sh*t.

A single diner?  Not a good place.  In a group, sure.  You'll likely have a good time what with the trivia parties and such.

Great for a beer while watching any kind of sport on the fifty thousand TVs,or perhaps a drink and snack after work or school with friends, but the food is not good and is severely overpriced.

Its a nice watering hole pretty close to home base. Usually has a good beer selection, and one of my all time trashy favorites, Genny Cream Ale in the tall cans. The waitstaff is always kind and you can joke with them, a little pokey at times when theres alot of people but I'm not complaining. I mean dont go out if you're in a hurry. The food is not bad, sometimes a little oily but thats late at night, and after a few, that grease calms the beer beast that had taken residence in my belly. You can go in and watch a game and gnosh, and its less expensive than you think. Try any of the sliders, the philly cheesesteak is pretty good and the fries, sweet potato or regular, are always pretty much on point. If you want to stop in for a beer, this is the place. The only weird thing is the outdoor patio, who really wants to watch the traffic on hoosick st? Maybe some dust in your food? Anyway, try it out

I was in town visiting a friend over the holidays and went in to watch football on Sunday. The layout of the place is awesome! Tons of well placed high def TVs with the Sunday Ticket so you whatever game you were interested in, you could find it on several TVs located throughout the place. Good draft beer selection, and something I have never seen before: A stock style ticker, displaying all of the days games, with their current score and the spread. Really nice sports bar, I just wish there was one in walking distance to me.

It's clearly not my week for good service. The service here is really hit or miss. I've has great service and I've had terrible service. The food selection is really good it has a ton of options. I've had the chicken and burgers as my favoites. Their bar food is good but falls short. Their nachos and wings could be improved ESP cause there are great nacho and wing places in the area that I'd go to first. I think they have a great selection of buyers and they have incredible French fries. The kind u don't burry in ketchup. They also have a really good drink
Special almost everyday. While it's hard to get the tvs changed if you do have a tv you want near you you get a box so there is always sound which is really appreciated

over all...the service is poor. the food is okay...but if you want to watch a game this is probably one of the best places to go in the area.

Meh.  The sports bar with crap plastered all over the walls, local jerseys hanging from the ceiling, and waitstaff in referee jerseys is so over done.  Not impressed with the beer selection or the menu.  Had the wings which weren't bad, but nothing memorable.  The bartender was neither attentive nor friendly, but that could be because I was sitting in between two groups of creepy dudes.  There was also a rowdy, co-ed, townie softball team at the other end of the bar.  Probably won't be back.

This looked like it was going to be a great place to throw our friends birthday party. We all showed up there little by little (16) of us in all. The waitress at first was spot on but as more of us arrived the waitress turned in to a complete mess. Ignoring some of us when ordering, bring wrong orders to the table, giving people the wrong drinks, at one point I saw her coming- she looked right at me, turned her head away when I raised up my hand to wave her over so I could ask about the drink my wife ordered over 20 minutes ago. She then came towards the table and still never brought any ones drinks. At  this point I had enough of this horrible service. I told her that I would be paying for my 2 beers, my wife's 1 martini, my friend and him girlfriends 3 drinks and the order of wings we had. She told me no and said everythings on one bill. I informed her that I was leaving along with my wife & friends (4 of us in all) and that I needed our orders on a separate bill. She said she couldn't do that - so I informed her that if she didn't do that she wasn't getting anything for the bill. She came back about 15 minutes later with an attitude and said my boss showed me how to seperate the bill. I paid what we owed exactly because her horrible service deserved an equally horrible tip ( none ) she got what she was worth and I will never return there ever again. BTW - this was a reserved party so they knew we would all be there - no surprises!!! Worst service I've ever had.

This place has an awesome sports bar atmosphere, televisions everywhere.  Good menu, i would recommend the southwest egg rolls they were delicious, good sweet potato fries as well.  This place was very clean and open, there was no cramped feeling like at a lot of small sports bars.  When i visit my family for the holidays i will probably return

    Wow!

The Recovery Sports Grill opened very recently inside the new Hilton Garden Inn on Hoosick Street, a sister sports bar to the Recovery Room in Albany. When I think of a recovery room, I recall waking up from anesthesia laying down on a hospital bed after a major operation and having no memory of what just happened. I spent 4 hours in the "real recovery room" less than a month ago in lots of pain. My recovery has been very speedy and my buddy and I decided to check out the Recovery Sports Grill to celebrate success!

This ultimate sports bar is pretty impressive for the area, which is spacious with lots of HDTVs throughout the bar. The bar is decorated with college and professional sports memorabilia from the past and the future with local fanfare support including RPI Hockey jerseys. There's a pool table and video games near the NASCAR painted wall. The young attractive servers wear referee shirts who are eager to assist you.

My buddy and I stopped here recently in the mid weekday afternoon. The place had a mixed crowd of young and older folks. We sat up at the bar and we started out with a Coors Light and a Heineken. There was a radio tuner speaker at our seats, which we could hear the audio from different TVs including the Yankees game, a similar concept to Smokey Bones and Damon's Grill. This is also the place to be for NFL Sunday to watch your favorite team.

The menu offers typical pub fare and appetizers. The prices are fair. Beer specials are offered including $2.50 pints and $10 pitchers for a different beer Mon-Thurs. $10 pitchers are offered during all NFL games.

Okay, we ordered some food to share including 10 Garlic Asiago Wings ($7.99) which were very good. The Southern Chicken Sandwich Sliders ($8.99) served with sweet potato fries were decent but did not have any mayo. The Hand Pulled Pork Sliders ($8.99) served with sweet potato fries and cole slaw and a side cup of BBQ sauce were pretty tasty. The service was adequate with several staff stopping by and asking us if we needed anything else.

Overall, the food we had was typical bar fare going well with our beers. Both of us enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This is definitely a great place to hang out and cheer on the NY teams or your favorite team. Sweet Caroline, hehe!
