It's safe to say this bar is pretty popular but it doesn't really get kicking until the very late night/ early morning hours.  It has a reputation as a biker bar, but I've seen very few bikes parked here.  Truth be told, it's a magnet for service industry folks, which explains the late, late night patriotism.  Most people sit outside around the huge open-air bar.  Even in winter, with the eaters burning high, of course. The bartenders here know what they are doing, and they have a nice collection of spirits in stock to craft a great cocktail.  If beer is more your thing, you will not be disappointed with the variety to choose from.

Went here with a few friends while on vacation. The atmosphere was pretty good, there just isn't a very big crowd, but it was on a Thursday night. The bartenders and staff are also very nice. I enjoyed this, for the most part.

The City of Destin doesn't want me telling you anything positive exists in this town with the word "dive" in its description that doesn't include doing something with a body of water.  It can't be helped.

The Red Door is one of the better bars in Destin.  In the off season it gets pretty divey, which is awesome.  But otherwise this place is a great place to be.  It has a huge floor space, is both an indoor and outdoor bar, is very reasonably priced and they have a solid staff.  They have lots of TVs and is a great place to go during football season.  One of my favorite things about the Red Door is NO LIVE MUSIC.  I mean, admit it:  Most of the time, the bands are too loud and they kinda suck, right?

I've seen the Red Door pretty packed, but never so crowded that you couldn't move around.  And it's strategically placed for the beginning or end of a Pub Crawl.  Oh yeah, and they have...food.

This was one of many stops on a great night in Destin. Good drink specials and nice staff. I can't say too much good or bad, but one thing for sure check out the tarot card reader. She is amazingly accurate and I am a huge skeptic. She hit very specific dates for two different people, now we are waiting to see if she is right.

Great, casual, local, good-time bar. This reminds me of the Cheers of Destin. It's outdoors, which is cool, and a fun place to make friends and memories.

It gets PACKED on the weekends, but even then, the bartenders are really friendly and so are the patrons. The bouncers are so chill that they let you bring in your drink you got from the last bar you went to (it was an accident!) This bar represents everything awesome about the South.

As other reviewers said, don't wear nice things or get too fancy, or you'll look out of place. The bar doesn't feel dirty at all, but you will probably get spilled on, and people smoke. Like I said, classy = no. Fun as hell = yes.

    I'd love to go back!

Red Door has a great outdoor bar.  We also like the indoor bar at night.  Mike (the Bike) is a great bartender and even though the food is mostly micro'd he doctors it up to make it great.

Gravel parking lot, affable bouncer, eff-able company. The indoor bar is a tiny shed that we didn't even bother with. The outdoor bar is a long, covered space filled with friendly local patrons, and surprisingly clean. A wide variety of pirate flags line the inside of the roof. Pennies epoxied into the bar's surface, stools in reasonably good condition. A square of corrugated sheet metal is spray painted to face the exit with a purple reminder: "PAY YOUR TAB." Background music was a little tinny, but drinks were strong-- Kat's blueberry Stoli cocktail was a cheerful punch to the face, and my RBV was really just a hefty pour of vodka with a splash of Red Bull. Now this is my kind of dive bar.

    Its a dive.

    Wait its a beach bar.

    But what isn't around here?

Don't even bother putting on anything nice cause

    A: you're going to sweat
    B: you're going to stink
C: you're going to get spilled on
D: you might sit in something wonky
E: someone is going to be smoking
F- its a dive, NO, its a beach bar!

What is super cool about this place is that your feet dont stick to the floor like other dive bars that I do not like, AND if you bump into people they are immediately sorry, and make a point to apologize.  Damn I love the south.

Passing through from one place to the next, my friend and I stopped here, looking to explore each local place around the Destin harbor.   This bar is a local hangout so we were able to meet some Destin natives who gave us insight on the best places to go for food and drinks.

Although we did not stay here very long, the drinks made were great, and the staff was courteous.  My friend and I asked for the bartender to make a shot, and she made one that was amazing - she just mixed together a bunch of liquids and out came the "Elizabeth & Emily" shot.  Yes she named it after my friend and I.  How cool is that?!

Wish we could have stayed longer and experienced nightlife there. Next time!
