Cool space...decor is sort of the tin walls with the 50s flare with the old trailer and cars inside. Â So yes it is big...cars are parked inside. Â Menu is left up to the imagination. Â It seems like it would be really good food. Â But everything our friends ordered was fried. Â So we were like eh. Â I did see sweet tater fries on the menu...sooooooooooooo you know me right? Â "Swwet Tater Fry or Die" motto. Â Waffled and crisped...a little undercooked on some and overcooked on others. Â I requested light salt...thank goodness...they were salty. Â The chicken and waffles seemed quite a delight to the people with us. Â Chicken Fried steak, actually looked old school diner, in a good way, not like a greese spoon situation. Â Tues is Dolla make you Holla Bier night. Â I think they just call it is $1 beer night...but whatever. Â I like to spice it up? Â Hostess was nice, Sid our waiter was nice. Â The tables were spacious and clean. Â Bar...is a no go. Â With this sort of out in the middle of nowhere space, I can see it getting packed bc the locals do not want to drive to Arlington or FW. Â But you have a beautiful space. Â Please have cold kegs and get a bartender that is educated on something other than red bull and vodka drinks. Â You could make a ton of money and have awesome reviews. Â Our area was non smoking...but I swear I could smell cigs from the bar area. Â Maybe I am wrong. Â These awesome guys were singing up on the stage. Â We dug it. Â It was acoustic jams until 8pm. Â This this Dbag kareoke dude got up and blasted out his speakers. Â No one could talk or hear anyone. Â We had kids with us too. Â Which is clearly encouraged here to have...bc they have kids coloring constest all over the entry way. Â A friend of ours went up twice in 5 min to ask him to turn it down. Â Us and only 3 other tables existed in the entire place. Â So seriously. Â The senior citizens, us and the people that were tabbing out...were not getting up to sing with you and put money in your ginormous tip jar. Â Get over yourself dude! Â I did appreciate the heated restrooms, (bc this place is freezing inside and Sid even had on a jacket) and the blinking lights on the drive way to let you know you were in the correct space to turn in. Â This place has tons of potential but YIKES...too much of a drive to go back to just a blah experience.
Review Source:We went to Reds for dinner on a Thursday night as we had a deal saver coupon and decided to check it out. We drove from Keller to Kennedale in rush hour traffic and trust me that is a long drive. Luckily, it was worth the drive as the food was fabulous and the service was impecable! We split the 18oz ribeye and also got a half a rack of ribs and both were cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese, fried okra and fries were all good! My husband loved bread pudding so we ordered it and 3 huge pieces arrived, enough to easily feed 6 people! We had lots of great leftovers and will definitly be returning on a weekend night for some dancing!
Review Source:Went there for the first time last week. Â ordered the dragon fries, they were good. Â the margarita was smooth, be sure to go top shelf though. Â the venu is really great, love the big ass stage. Â the servers were friendly and attentive. Â the food is a work in progress. Â I'm told they are tweaking things and are very open to suggestions. Â I suggest a good healthy choice as well as all those fried things. Â Tuna, grilled chicken etc. Â We will be back, enjoyed the heck out of it and glad to have a new music venu to attend.
Review Source:Good food, mostly different types of burgers. They do rotate some specials through and I had the jambalaya which was a little too salty and sweet. Everybody else had burgers of various kinds and they were all a hit. The atmosphere here is really cool with some classic cars scattered around everywhere and even an Airstream camper. Outside is an awesome music venue with lots of old pinball machines for decoration and an old trailer behind the bar. They also have good music inside from time to time and we saw Heather Roberts there when we were there a few days ago.
Review Source:Went here Saturday night, major disappointment. Â
1st - Arrived around 7:45pm and although there are signs posted everywhere "no one under 21 allowed" kids were all over the place.
2nd, sat outside at a table that was broken, the tables outside are either for two people are 8, nothing in between.
3rd, waited 10 minutes and NO ONE ever came to table to take our drink order, or even offer an apology for taking to long. Â Finally got up and left after 15 minutes of zero service. Â Sad part was they weren't even busy.
Red's reminds me of the funky restaurants near John Wayne airport either in The Lab or The Camp "anti-malls" with a whole lotta Texas thrown in. Â It's a stand alone site that could easily encompass The Lab in it's entirety.
Took the family there just as the dinner crowd was thinning out and the late crowd was getting there for whatever band was going to play soon. Â Dinning area was almost empty since most everyone was outside. Â Decor is a mix of old cars, trailers, and what I would best describe as roadside antiques or junktiques depending on your perspective. Â
We ordered the Dragon Fries appetizer (fries tossed in buffalo sauce topped with cheese) and those are almost addictive. Â Between the Pot Roast, chicken and waffles, chicken fried steak, ribs... we got just about everything on the menu with the exception of a Hamburger. Â Everything was quite tasty with the exception being my pot roast. Â It was salty and I couldn't quite tell if the carrots were undercooked on purpose or not. Â The sides were great overall, however they did not have any sweet potato mash which would have helped cut through the saltiness of the beef. Â Portions are large, we could have ordered half the food and left full.
The staff never let our drinks get below half empy, the tea was fresh, and we were too stuffed to even attempt dessert. Â We brought home the leftovers and finished them off the next day at lunch - Even the pot roast. Â The old website referenced their chef coming from Spago or something of the like. Â This was removed and that's a good thing, cause the food is very good, but not gourmet.
I'll be a regular at Red's and hope they are able to establish themselves as a preferred venue for area bands. Â All the ingredients are there.
