Reed's Package Liquors

Now days known as The Ruffed Up Duck (or simply The Duck) in honour of the inebriated and belligerent looking mascot that's long adorned the exterior, the bar in the back room is one of my favourites. Laramie is packed with bars, since there isn't a whole lot else to do in town. University students fill the Buckhorn, Cowboy, Ranger, and Lovejoy's on a regular basis while Bud's serves West Laramie residents and is too far to make it home from safely for most other people in town, so the Duck served as the quieter hang out I could walk home from.

The liquor store in front is standard, but step into the back room and you're treated to a small but pleasant bar with a smattering of regulars and maybe a few students quietly sipping their drinks. Beer selection isn't great, but the bartender knows his trade so just grab a mixed drink. The patio in the back is the perfect spot to enjoy a gin and tonic in the summer.
