I'm not an East Coaster.  I probably wouldn't know good crab cakes if they kicked me in the junk, but I do know good food and I know beer.  Growing up Midwest and moving to CA, crab cakes to me are a novelty.  To folks in Maryland, they are a religion.  I now understand why.  The crab cakes here were better than any I've ever had, which may not be saying much, but wow, fantastic.  The beer selection was varied and decent.  Really enjoyed the Natty Boh.  What I enjoyed even more though was the service.  When the waitress and the owner stop to chat, ask me about my meal, and can talk not only beer, but beer history, I respect it.  With out the service I got, this would be a decent 3 star place.  The service was worth 4 stars alone.

I've been here before and it's not been a bad place to have a beer..  Don't know what;s changed however I sat at the bar over 5 mins before someone notices I was there, ordered up a Draft Fat Tire, was informed that the keg had to be chaged, I said no problem I'll wait, then was informed it would be at least 15 mins before the keg could be changed, didn't want anything to do with the other two beers so I punched.....

In a sea of chains and fast food joints off of 95 there is the Riverside. My wife and I have been here several times (lunch) because the food is good. We usually get sandwiches and while the service is not the fastest in the world the food comes out hot and in a reasonable time. The cheese-steak' are good and my wife is partial to the Chicken Caesar wrap. I tried the pit beef once but it was a little to dry for my palate. Tons of parking, just them and a dominos in the strip mall and easy on off from 95. In fact I would go so far as to recommend this exit rather than the Aberdeen exit just up the road.

Convenient to the hotel, decent bar, good food.  Crab cakes are excellent here. A bit pricier than similar style chains but food is worth it.

Food here was great. Place is small, kinda cozy but it's so convenient if you're a commuter here for a few days.  They had good beers on tap, and pretty good food.  Word of advice for newbs; the regular "hot" wings is doused with demilitarized napalm.  They do it big up there at APG.  I love spicy foods, but after 2 or 3 wings, I had to ask for milk...

I'll definitely come back here and give those wings another try.

This place was so convenient as it was within walking distance from my hotel. They've got a nice menu with lots of variety and a nice atmosphere. Despite being a bar they're not a dive at all.

Their cream of crab soup is good, very liberal with the Old Bay which is nice. There's also a shaker of it at the table in case you want to add more to anything. Their steamed shrimp is good too. The cheesesteak is good too, as are the crab cakes.

The service is awesome, too. Both times I went they were very nice and attentive.

Staying at the hotel next door we were happy to find a convenient cute Pub Restaurant so close! It had a good, warm and clean feel as we walked.  Seemed like the best choice in this area of Cracker Barrel & Pancake House as our other choices.
Only beer or wines to choose from so I started with a glass of red.  Nice big wine glasses... good so far!
Service was very good..nice professional waitress.  I opted for the salmon dinner and chose my 2 sides...home made Mac and cheese and a side of cole slaw ($16.99).  My BFF co-worker chose the crab cake platter and same sides as me.  (19.99). Unfortunately everything but the salmon was cold.  Having to send things back to the kitchen puts a damper on a nice dining experience.  Everything came back out in a timely manner...piping hot, and waitress apologized..." Whatever."   We forgave.  For desert we split the key lime pie.  It was delicious.  I handed my credit card to pay the bill and as I was putting the tip on I noticed I was charged for 2 pies! Huh? Another big mistake? My credit card was credited back but this 2nd mistake made both mistakes memorable.  My Salmon was good....but nothing special.  Crab cakes good but there are much better places for crab cakes.  So in conclusion...this is a nice restaurant if you are in the area but certainly not a place to go out of your way for! It was NOT a great value for the money.  If I did go back I would order a salad or sandwich...not a platter.

On the way to Dc and stopped here for lunch since its pretty close to exit 80 off of 95. Service was friendly and the food was good. Half price apps for happy hour special were nice. We would come back if ever in the area again.

Awesome lunch spot, traveling for business it was the perfect place to stop.  We sat outside on the sunny patio and enjoyed crab cakes, perfect blackened chicken salad(its famous here), and a black and blue burger.  Boom! Job well done!

Walked here because it was literally just down the hill from a hotel I was staying at.

Ate here 2 days at lunch. It seems the place has an identity issue: not sure if it is primarily a bar, a sports bar, or a "fine dining" restaurant, which is what it advertises on the door. While it certainly is finer than the Pizza Hut it is near, it is nowhere near some of the other places that are less than 10 min. drives away. Waitresses were nice, but even though the place was moderately empty when I was there, service was slow.

Food is just ok: had the buffalo chicken wrap (LOTS of real blue cheese, a bit overpowering at times), house salad (first one had moldy tomatoes on it, second one was ok), Maryland crab soup (moderately spiced, decent), and a glass of wine (had never had that vintage before; tasted a bit sour). Also, a bit pricey for what you get! Fine for a happy hour stop over, don't think it should be a destination for eating.

Stopped in here because it was convenient to the hotel my b/f and I were staying at.  We wanted something within walking/stumbling distance in case we went overboard with the beer. Based on their beer selection, that turned out not to be an issue.

Walked in a on Friday evening and were seated promptly.  Very nice lady showed us the table.  Waitress was efficient and courteous.  We ordered beer-  Stella for my better half, Red Hook Longhammer for me.  Both were decent so at least the kegs weren't stale.   Onto food:  I started with the crab dip, he started with the nachos.  The crab dip was supposed to be seasoned with Old Bay but in reality it was a creamy dip with a complete tablespoon of Old Bay underneath.  It hadn't been mixed. I was wondering why it was so bland.  Once I found it, I stirred it up and it was more flavorful.  The nachos were soggy and I was not impressed.  For entrees, he had the Cobb Salad, which was fine and I had the Cheesesteak, which was actually pretty good and I liked the fries.  We decided to get the peanut butter pie for dessert and it was okay.

With limited options in the area, this is a decent place.  Service was very friendly and nice but overall, I don't think it would be a destination place for food.

Visiting from out of town and decided to have a drink. Its ok. Its between a bar and a restaurant. Nothing to write back home about. Next time I'll try the food.

Stopped for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. Quiet, wouldn't have a problem bringing kids here during the day.  TVs sufficient if you need to catch a game but not overwhelming like at the turtle. Nice ambience. Ordered a Black and Blue burger and a flat iron steak.  Both were a bit overcooked but not terribly so.  French fries were amazing. Mashed potatoes seemed like they had sour cream in them, and it seemed like a bit much.  House salad was mixed greens, tomatoes, cukes, radish, and mushrooms.

I'll definitely come back and try something else. And i'll be getting a basket of fries.
