Rob's Good Times Grill

One of my favorite places to come with my family for Karaoke and Guinness on tap. Not only do I LOVE that I can bring my little guy and entertain him at the afternoon pool table for just a buck but I don't think there's an appetizer on the whole menu that hasn't been delicious. AND did I mention the live music!? Always entertaining!  I would give Rob's another star except for the fact that more than one waitress has either ignored us or has repeatedly exaggerated our check! Sorry Rob.

We had a few hours to spend before our flight home to Honolulu, so after looking at the reviews on Yelp, decided to stop in at Rob's.  

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, so we were pleasantly surprised by what we found inside.  It was beautifully renovated and just felt like a really clean, well run place.

But of course, the ultimate test is in how good the food is.  We had a pupu sampler with poke, teriyaki meat & wings.  All absolutely excellent!

And there's more.... Our server, a beautiful local woman with long hair, was so kind & welcoming.  And by the way the local customers said bye to her when leaving, you could just tell how much they thought of her.

This was one of the best experiences we've had in Kauai!  It will definitely become a tradition when visitg Kauai.  The only sad thing about this is that they don't have a location on Oahu!

I promised Rob in September that I'd write a review for this place, so better late than never! If you're looking for some night life near Lihue, this is the place! We wanted to end our Hawaii trip with a bang! and ended up here. Got the same hangover and achy legs that I do at any club in the world.

Don't let the exterior fool you. All the windows are tinted black and looks very shady, but once you get inside, it's a normal, typical bar. They've got two pool tables, two bars, and a dance floor. The music is exactly what you'd find in a club in LA or NY but you know, with Hawaiian flare, aka laid back. Actually, I was definitely surprised at how much people dressed up here.
