I have to say - the burgers are great, but I've switched to the Chicken sandwich everytime, hands down. Â Worth the drive, even if you don't own a Jeep, which I do. Â If that doesn't make any sense, visit the place and find out what I mean. Â I've probably been 10+ times, its a "must stop" place in Bridgeport, TX
Review Source:I heard this place has the best burgers. It has about five things on the entire menu. Hamburgers made to order, chicken salad or sandwich and a hot dog. You fill out a checklist of what you want on your burger and what side; that's how you order.
I ordered a cheeseburger with the normal condiments. I though it was a great burger, but not earth shattering.
This place is frequented by the guys that go off-roading in the park down the road. It seems like the perfect place for that.
We love Rock City Burgers!! The meat always seems fresh and the food is cooked to order! The fries are fresh and I love the salad too! My only complaint is the cost, it can be a bit pricy for my family of five to eat there, even if we order kids meals for the boys. Maybe you could have a "special" price burger one day a week?? All in all, Rock City is raising the bar for restaurant options in Bridgeport!
Review Source:We stopped in on a tour through Texas  Had the Bull Burger with BBQ sauce, thick-cut bacon and a couple of onion rings on a jalapeño bun. Ridiculous! The bun was toasted on the flattop. The patty is a perfectly seasoned diner style burger. We had some super-crisp pickle chips too. Next time I'm trying the homemade chips.
Review Source:Our first visit: Â Thin favorful pattie burger meat, which my wife prefers (I like mine a little thicker). Â Nice choice of garnishes. Â Recommend the jalapeno bread; a little sweet with jalapeno favor - not hot at all - grilled. Â Very good burgers. Â Try the new onions rings which have a fairly light batter, lightly seasoned and crispy - very good. Â Nice casual atmospere with off-road 4 wheel motif. Â There is a stage with set-ups for live music; weekends I assume. Â Well worth the trip from Azle. Â We'll be back.
Review Source:My husband and our friends frequent the off-road park in Bridgeport, and drive by this place every time we leave town. This trip we planned to stop on the way home and try it out.
I loved my burger, I had a single patty with cheese with the jalapeno bun. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was made in house, I have never had a bun quite like that before. It was a little on the sweet side with a mild kick of jalapeno. The burgers are cooked to well-done by default, and that is OK with me.
I had the homemade chips with my burger and I LOVED them. They are super crispy and thicker than normal potato chips. The chips could have used a light dusting of salt when they came out of the fryer, but there was a salt shaker on the table and various offerings of other seasonings by the drink station. My husband had the fries, and I think they are just the standard frozen medium cut type.
There were 4 people in our party, we all had a burger plus either the chips or fries and a coke- our bill was about $35. I didn't inspect everyone's food to see if they ordered double burgers or bacon or whatever, so just know that although it is a burger place out in the country, the bill can add up. I didn't mind the price, and I'll go back the next time I have a chance. It was pretty yummy. :-)
OH! BYOB!
Thuy and I took the bike towards Bridgeport last weekend, and after driving in, around and through Bridgeport a couple times looking for a place to eat, Rock City Burger Co. looked the most appealing (mostly due to the large covered outdoor seating area).
Bottom line is that it was a good burger. There were plenty of options to customize the burger the way you like, and the girl working the counter was friendly and cheerful. We augmented our burgers with the chili cheese fries and I must say they were both tasty and filling (though maybe not the right choice for the long ride home).
If we are back in Bridgeport, we'll definitely consider Rock City Burger Co. again.
A good burger with a unique twist. Â You go to the counter and fill out your order on a paper bag, pay then they bring it to you in the bag. Â Try the jalapeno bun, it's not hot and has a lot more flavor than a plain bun.
Be cautious with add ons, they add up quickly and you can end up paying over $10 for a burger and fries. Â The endless video loop of monster trucks climbing rocks is entertaining.
