I've eaten at Rod's twice in the past 6 months as I've passed through Canton on business. Â Very good BBQ and excellent sides. Â The spicy beans are a must if you like spicy foods. Â The last time I went I tried the pulled pork which was good but not overly flavorful. Â Next time I'll stick with the brisket.
Review Source:I live in Canton, my family and I go there for one reason. Â The ribs are awesome. Â They fall off the bone, the seasoning is spot on and if you so chose, you can decide between a mild, spicy or extra spicy sauce. Â However, it is our belief that if BBQ is cooked right there is no need for any sauce! Â The sides leave a lot to be desired, though. Â We always make our own when ordering BBQ from Rod's as it's so much better than what they serve. Â It tastes canned with no love cooked into it. Â There is barely any parking, so if you go during First Monday Weekend, plan to park many blocks away. Â I happen to date a BBQ restaurant owner and fanatic. Â He says he's eaten and cooked MUCH better. Â But it IS the best in the area if you crave BBQ while in town.
