Roppongi

The sushi is average, and selection is alright, though rather costly. Hibachi grill menu is pretty good, but I can't say the same for the show. Have had no problems with the staff, they're usually prompt, and attentive. Overall, the joint's okay, though I never found myself looking forward to eating here.

Pros: Good sushi selection, and hibachi servings are good. Decent staff
Cons: Dark, and dank decor. Awkward hibachi show.

I noticed this joint is in Yelp under two different names and I wanted to be sure my review is seen both spots.

Well I'm about to give up on sushi in Evansville. At least in the area I stay in.

Roppongi. Nice look. Smelled slightly sour at the table. But I decided to give it a go.

It's a Monday, the place is empty. only 2 tables with guests.  Which is expected.  

I ordered a couple of nigiri and a couple of rolls. It came with miso soup or a salad.

Miso was good. They brought out the nigiri first.  Odd. The fish was dry.  Not moist at all. Tasted good but seemed like it had been setting out.

5 minutes after finishing the nigiri and I'm still waiting on the rolls.

After asking about the rolls and waiting 5 more minutes the rolls finally arrived.  The California roll was dry like it was made that morning and left out and the Dragon roll had so much sauce it drowned out the flavor.

Summary, sour smell, dry fish, slow service.  I'm not sure why this place gets such high marks.

This restaurant has come along way since opening last year. The sushi and service are excellent. I've never had the hibachi, however, the tables are always packed. I've been to every sushi restaurant in town and this is definitely one of the best. You can't beat the prices. The place is very clean. I'm usually there 2 to 3 times per week and love the varieties of sushi and rolls.
