Just like most reviewers on here, I will say that Biaggi's is more than the label of being a chain restaurant. Being a "chain" has so many connotations that Biaggi's clearly bypasses.
For our most recent trip, we were going for an anniversary. We had made reservations ahead of time and requested a seat near the big fireplace. When we arrived, we were seated just where we had asked without issue on a busy Friday night.
Our server was fantastic and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the food on the menu. He was able to give suggestions and commentary that made us very sure of our choices. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer and still use it as the standard bearer for a good bruschetta today. The mozzarella was very fresh, the balsamic reduction was perfect and the fresh slices of basil gave the dish a well balanced flavor.
I had the tortellini which was a nice portion and left me with no complaints. We rounded out dinner with tiramisu which was perfect to share between two people and was plated very nicely.
The atmosphere is very inviting and there is plenty of room around the tables so you won't be bumping into anyone when getting into your seat. Biaggi's tends to be both a great date spot as well as for work functions. The only issue we've had here in the past is that the servers sometimes rush you out at the end of your meal. If this could just be damped down a bit, Biaggi's would be even better.
Biaggi's is a great place with solid food, service and atmosphere. I look forward to many good meals here in the future!
Just a quick note. Â They do NOT deliver. Â So sad...
Now for the rest of the story.
Threw on my island shirt (No it doesn't have big flowers) some khakis and flip flops and headed for a fast food joint for take out.
I kept thinking about the menu at Biaggi's. Â Then I see the place across the highway. Â A couple of turns later there I am.
Great decor. Â Dark wood. Â Nice lighting. Â Some of the best music ever (yep I'm a jazz fan, Sinatra, Jobim, Getz...)
Greeted very nicely. Â No wait for a table which was good.
Andrea, who is great, took good care of me. Â Attentive but not overbearing. Â Be certain to ask for her. Â Engaging conversation, and great service.
Service was fast, food was great. Â Farfalle Alfredo 1/2 portion was more than enough. Â Spinach salad was super. Â Cannoli was great and the presentation was very nice.
So... I'll be back. Â After so many disappointments in this area I would say
SCORE!!
Make sure you go, soon.
I am NOT a fan of chain restaurants. Â However, I LOVE Biaggi's. Â It's amazing how at-home I feel here. Â All the servers / bartenders are great--friendly, easy-going, and knowledgeable. Â The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, yet still fun. Â The food is always delicious, and does NOT have to be expensive--you can have a delicious, filling meal for under $10.
Their soups and salads are great. Â So are their pizzas. Â And they have great fish dishes as well. Â I love that they have a wide variety of fresh, lighter options, because that is always what I'm looking for (I never order anything creamy or heavy, but they do have that).
Another fantastic thing is that they have a full gluten-free menu. Â They offer gluten-free bread (Ask for it when you sit down! Â It's super delicious!), as well as GF pastas and pizza dough. Â
Also, great cocktails!
