What a blast!   We went there for Cinco de Mayo and the place was hopping!   Food was spicy which we all loved.  We got to meet the owners who were so nice.  Food was all homemade.  Guacamole was the best that I have ever had (and I travel travel to Mexico twice a year).  Menus and the tables were literally a work of art.  I actually worked at RL while I was in college in he 80's.  That was great but I have to admit that this was better!   I highly recommend !

NOT a fan of the new Rosa Linda's.....nothing at all like the old one, but even if I never had any previous experience with Rosa Linda's....this restaurant is NOT worth it.  Just went there for lunch and the empty lot and the empty restaurant should of been an indication.  Food lacked taste and flavor.....and our waiter acted as if he could of cared less.....the staff more interested in chatting with each other......they seemed very bored. Will not recommend or return.

We were in the seafood capital of SC and needed something vegetarian to eat. Rosa Linda's actually has a lot of vegetarian food. We got some guacamole for our chips, and it was ok. I got a spinach chimichanga (it's hard to find vegetarian chimichangas), which came with rice and beans. I was told that the ranchero beans (vs. the black beans) were mild, so I got those. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire. The chimichanga was good at first and then got soggy and gross. I got my son a side of the black beans and some fries. He said the beans were too spicy for him, so he ate fries and chips for dinner. My husband got a couple of enchiladas and cleaned his plate. He loved this place. Me, not so much. My stomach hurt the rest of the night. Too bad.

First off this place is Tex Mex. Had a great lunch there. Beef, bean and cheese nachos were awesome. The Margarita I had was made with gran marnia yummy!

The have a smoker below the restaurant (it's on stilts like a raised beach house) that they smoke their own pulled pork on. Chimichanga was crispy and big for the a la carte version.
With the chimi and nachos for lunch I walked out of there full and can't wait to go back for a combo dinner!!

It was Bike Week and it was crowded all around. We were big fans of Rosa Linda's back in the day when Myrtle Beach Air Force Base was still around.  We had heard that RLs was opening back up so we thought we'd give it a try.  Also, I wanted to say that we are foodies that like to eat out quite a bit, but are also pretty darned good cooks!  Our disclaimer is that we are not professional food critics, but have alot to say about the quality of good service and of good food. When the tab is pricey, you expect the food to be of great taste and quality.

We walked thru the 'yard' that had a stage set up with entertainment. This place was another restaurant/bar before. In previous bike week's there were motorcycle stunts just outside in the parking lot.  But this year,  it seemed that the entertainment moved up the road a piece allowing for paid parking instead.  So we trekked up the stairs which has a patio set up with tables, so we decided to sit outside to take in some of the entertainment and the bike noise.

Was this the same RLs family who owned the original RLs?  We were excited to savor the same fare that made RLs famous -- the giant margarita's, the salsa, the Tex-Mex.

Well, hold it right there!  Let's start with the menu:  Menu is not entirely Mexican but indicates that it is Tex-Mex, BBQ and seafood.  There is a pulled pork platter and  a seafood in a bag, BBQ and hamburgers.  Perhaps they're trying to cater to tourists who expect seafood.  We think that was a foolish choice since there were other seafood choices down the road.

Robin was our waitress. It was busy; after all, it was the middle of HD bike week. She brought us some salsa and chips so we can peruse the menu.  The salsa tasted and looked like it came out of a can, very thick bodied, almost a tomato sauce thickness. The chips that accompanied them were stale.  Needless to say, we set them aside.

When Robin returned to take our orders, we ordered a margarita, and 2 sweet teas.  Ready for this?  "NO SWEET TEA," said Robin.  WHAT?  You're kidding, right?
EVERYONE has sweet tea in the south!  Everyone except RLs.

We ordered a chimichanga and the enchilada/taco combo.  We also asked for a side of guacamole.  When that came, we took one taste, and ick!  It tasted like tub guac with added tomatoes, onions and garlic, passing it off as homemade.  We make homemade guac all of the time and have purchased some in tubs. Needless to say, we were disappointed....

Robin bought our meals, the plates were full and looked very tasty, however, looks can be deceiving.  The Mex styled rice was mushy and without flavor.  The beans seemed like they came out of a can and the chimi seemed like it was out of a frozen pack and placed in a deep fryer.

When we asked Robin about the items on our plates, the salsa and the guac, she seemed to get short with us and claimed that they were all homemade.  We didn't think so.

We were just disappointed of our whole experience at RLs.  We certainly were expecting the greatness from RLs of yesterday, only to be disappointed of the quality of the food and the sub-par service.  We won't be eating there again.

One thing I can say on a positive note is of the Restrooms:  2 stalls in the ladies room; very clean.  There is also one downstairs by the 'yard.'
