I was at an event across the street at the VFW hall for an event and stopped in here for something, anything to eat. To my surprise, I had one of the best burgers of my life, the sundried tomato avocado bacon onion burger. Do I need to say any more? Oh. Yes I do. The bowl of creamy home made clam chowder. Our server was cracking jokes with us and provided excellent service and split our party's check with a smile. What a gem tucked into this part of Mass!
Review Source:Food is ok.. menu decent. I cant stand going into a restaurant and seeing the crappy ketchup served with my fries.. If you cant buck up to pay for Heinz ketchup what are you skimping on in the back of the house???.. Come on! Â If you are looking to save a penny- charge me the 10 cents for a decent condiment.
Review Source:This place is small i went there to watch a band over the weekend and it's just not set up for that sorta thing  they were moveing out tables and chairs to make room for the band REALLY !@#$%^^ it was pretty much standing room only which sucks when you want to sit down and eat drink and watch the band ! the staff cleared our plates and took the table we were sitting at  !!!!! the food is so-so i got a burger there that was half cooked once .I've experienced better places for sure  i thought the staff was rude as well  I would not go there again
Review Source:We really like this place. Â Having just moved from Boston to Grafton, we are finding the dining out pickings slim...limited to take out pizza and chinese.
When we stumbled into the Rose Garden, we were happy to find a pleasant watering hole, but the real coup is the food. Â I was stunned at how tasty the food is -- I would disagree with the reviewer who pegged it "greasy pub fare" -- it is really, really good comfort food. Â I have tried alot of the dishes -- from the grilled cheese to the cobb salad to the grilled chicken dinner, while the BF is stuck on the jalapeno burger. Â The food is consitently good and the creamy clam chowder really rocks.
We eat there several times a week and are never disappointed.
I found my way here on accident on my way to Milford. It's just the kind of place you simply don't find around Greater Boston. One big room, some tables, mostly bar business. One pool table dead center and a guy playing guitar. Beer was cheap the the buffalo wings were decent. I'm not ready to drive 40 minutes to go there but a pleasant little dive
Review Source:The Rose Garden is a townie pub. Anyone who says otherwise is probably a townie.
Now don't get me wrong, Im not saying I don't like the RG, Ive been there plenty of times, shooting pool, watching the Red Sox, getting absolutly fucking SHATTERED. Let's just say the place has an expiration date on it and I think I may have hit mine.
The folks have moved out of Upton, so my chances/reasons to head to the RG for a bite to eat and way too much rum seem to be few and far between now, but it may still happen.
The food is small kitchen, greasy pub fare, the booze used to be strong as a bear, but thanks to those fancy digital pourers, things have slowed down.
