Something for your entertainment in plain ol' MV mall. Nice vibe..over price bowling , karaoke & the wait times for the pool tables awfully suck -________- Actually, the bowling, pool tables and the karaoke are all overprice and kind of sucks to wait, Get there early before the rush traffic takes in. The staff are sometimes a hit and miss. Haven't tried their food yet but I like playing the games. Check it out (: There are security guards to make sure there aren't any fights and all. They check the minors I.D who are under 18 to get out at pm...ages 18-21 they need to get out by midnight and who ever is over 21+ can stay in until 2 am ;) I don't mind that ONE BIT. So check it out (:
Review Source:I've been to the Round 1 at Puente Hills mall a few times. This was my first time at the Mol Val one. It's fairly new and much quieter. We did the karaoke for the first time.. Perfect for someone who can't sing and is afraid to sing in front of random people.. Like me! It was alot of fun and the private rooms are nice! Every once in a while there's a managers special that is 50% off.. Ask about it for details because I don't know much about it. But anyways Round 1 is an arcade on steroids so no matter what you do it will be a fun time!
Review Source:I love Round 1! I first went to one when I lived in Japan. I was so happy that they expanded it here in California. (Puente Hills Mall & MoVal Mall). To be honest, it's not as amazing as it is in Japan, but it's up to par. I go here often. I take tons of sticky pics (the photo booths). Not many people know how to use some of them because they aren't in English. Â This place is still awesome though.
The only downfall is that the customer service in MoVal sucks and it's so pricey.
Never really expected to find a huge amusement area inside such a crap mall, yet here it was, Round 1 Bowling.
You have bowling, your karaoke, your pool, and some air hockey. Where most places stop there, it expands greatly into arcade machines and small rides for children. I was impressed with the sheer size of this place.
Most interesting of note is the great number of Japanese arcade entertainment pieces. They had a lot of crane/skill type games.
Overall a great place.
This place is so awesome. We were pleased from the moment we walked in to the second we walked out. It is a very noisy environment, but yet a great way to entertain your party. Their is a lot going on and I would definitely go back. The food was amazing (pizza and wings). We bowled and had a blast watching multiple tv screens as they played music videos. We went on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. Â My only downfall to this place is that it is very pricey for all the attractions (bowling, karaoke, games, food, and alcohol).
It all started by getting greeted at the door with their friendly staff. I also saw a couple officers there for safety purposes. We then proceeded to the bowling section and we had a nice lounge area to hang out with my friends and family. We ordered a family special that included a pitcher of soda, large pizza and some wings. We also got several pitchers of beer. The staff at the registers were very friendly and inviting, despite of their business. The food was amazing. This is some of the best tasting pizza I have ever tried. The wings didn't fall short either! The announcer kept the crowd going with bowling challenges and prizes every half hour or so. We also had a staff member that was acting like a server/lane attendant that was very polite and helpful. He was picking up our trash as needed to keep a nice and clean environment. It was very crowded as I looked around, but we didn't feel limited with space. As we were leaving they handed each member in my group a free crane game card. We played and got some free candy.
I would definitely be back to try out the karaoke rooms and happy hour.
Another plus for the Moval Mall and it's pretty cool! Bowling, Karaoke, Billiards, Arcade, ping-pong, darts. Keep it coming, we need fun things for young kids and families to do, we have a lot of nice parks as well but need more business development. The MoVal Mall itself is a nice mall but needs to improve on the vacancy rate but it's getting better! Keep it going!
Review Source:Apparently they need to retrain their staff in Customer 101: The Customer is Always Right.
I waited over an hour for food. Â When I asked for a refund, the mgr on duty told me he couldn't give me one b/c I ate the food. Â (?!?)
When I called to speak to the manager, I was told there was nothing he could do...that he couldn't go off of what I was saying...refused to take any action to right the wrong.
I thought this place had nothing on Dave N Busters like one review said. It's way smaller. The only thing that got my attention was karaoke, which you have to pay for the rooms to use it. As well as bowling. They only seen to have beds and no mixed drinks and the bar is so small. A bunch of teenagers in there. Didn't stay after ten because I want impressed. However, after 21 you have to be over 21, so that's good.
Review Source:When it comes to variety, Round 1 is hands down better than Dave and Buster's. They have bowling, billiards, ping pong and private karaoke rooms. When it comes to games, like claw and stacker machines, the prizes are also very good. Selection of stuffed toys are very adorable and does not look cheap. It would be perfect to win for a loved one.
Me and my cousins came for the karaoke. We were only three. Advertised on the price was 12$. They put us in a room for a party of ten and more. There were two sofas. It was very comfortable. We stayed for a little over 2 hours. First ten minutes are free. When I got my bill, it was 22$/ hour. In regards to the songs, there are a lot of new ones. The songs were very extensive.
Here's the part were Dave and Buster's win. Tokens are definitely more cheaper. And the bar is hands down more better. Round 1 definitely needs a more elaborate menu for cocktails.
I was so excited to see that they had opened a Round1 in Moval! I live closer to the one in Puente Hills and was so amazed at how much variety that place has. This place is around the same size as the Puente Hills mall one. They have the same exact layout, like arcade, bowling alley, karaoke room, billiards, photobooth, bar, etc etc. LOOK AT HOW MUCH SHIT IT HAS!!! And people are complaining about the price.. Well I guess it gets to be a lot of money, but I think the time card deal is PRETTY awesome! It's $8 for 1 hour unlimited play on non ticket giving games.
I played some of the arcade games.. they're in Japanese!!! I can't understand shiet.. I didn't try the photobooths, but the photobooths..are..my..thing!!! I wish I did, but it's ok, I already have a bajillion sticker pictures of my vain self, lol. The pool table is kinda grimey though.. that might be the only complaint I have.
I still wish I had unlimited moneys so I could easily spend a couple days and night locked in here and not run out of things to do!!! I think the price is ok for what a super fun place this is! I mean, cmon THERES SO MUCH SHIT TO DO!!! And it's clean and not a dirty, scary arcade full of hood rats.
Plus its Moval.. let's be honest, there isn't too many places for fun in Moval/Riverside. This stuff is awesome!
slightly deceptive, they offer ping pong and it really dont exist. i have been there multiple times, right after xmas, attempted to order a pitcher of beer, but since only one guy was working the counter he couldnt get to me so after 20 mins i gave up.
most games are working , however in the course of 2 1/2 weeks and three visits they are in no hurry to fix games that are down... the bowling area is pretty cool, they have projector tvs above every lane which is awesome... however each lane has just one small couch that seats maybe 3 guys or 4 girls if you are lucky, and they dont mind cramming 6 people on a lane... the gaming area is pretty good, however of course they are just as or more expensive than dave and busters, ... The food quality? well we only had appitizers... when its only 4.95 for nachos... that is what you get.. some chips and cheese, mozz sticks are pretty small too but the price is decent.. all in all its a pretty fun place, there is karoke in the back as well , looks pretty cool but havent tried it... nor the pool tables.
PRICE: Very expensive. The arcade games are pretty pricey, especially the crane games. Crane games are like $3.50 per play! I lost so much money playing those! Makes me sad :( And prices for karaoke, bowling, pool, etc are more expensive on Fridays, weekends, and holidays. They have food there too, and the price is of course, pretty expensive as well. However, they have purikura photo booths, and those photo booths are a lot cheaper here than they are at every other place I've been to. I usually go to Round 1 just for the photo booths.
SERVICE: Really crappy. I was literally standing there in front of 2 workers chatting away while they definitely saw me there waiting to be helped. One day, I wanted to try the karaoke room for an hour, and the original price for that was supposed to be $16, but the people who worked there didn't even know how to use their machine correctly, so they charged me only $3.47. I'll give them one for that. Yay for newly hired people!
CLEANNESS: It's clean, even the restrooms are clean. Karaoke rooms are nice too.
OVERALL: If you never went here, I would definitely recommend going at least once. Bring money, you'll need it. It's a lot of fun if you have money, I won't deny that. If you're hungry, I wouldn't really recommend buying a -meal- there. It took them like 20 minutes to finally prepare a burger and fries. This place is usually dead until after 10PM. Bring a friend!
While I prefer the Round One located in the Puente Hills mall, this one is still very good in comparison. What is Round One u ask? Well, picture Emeril the chef, and pretend that Dave n Busters is the dish he's kicking up a notch- BAM! That's Round One.
They've got bowling, ping pong, billiards, karaoke, claw machines, arcade games, ticket redemption games, photo booths, beer, food. Pretty sweet.
This place can b kinda pricey, so be sure to bring money and when u get there, just shut up and let them take your wallet. This place is open late and does enforce it's curfews: after 10pm no one under 18 allowed, after 12am no one under 21 allowed, after every hour no dogs allowed.
This place is open until 2am, so b sure to bring your entourage and get a card. For an added bonus, if u buy a member card ($5 for a year) you will receive a discount whenever u reload the card or opt to do karaoke, bowling, etc.
Came here for a day of fun with some friends, with mixed results.
To start off: it's pricey, bring money. You don't need lots of cash though, because the machines only take the Round 1 card that you have to purchase. There's a sliding scale of dollar to credits, obviously the more you spend, the more "extra" credits you get.
What we did:
Karaoke:
The source of the low rating. We had to switch rooms THREE times. From asking for a room to finally starting to sing, it took an hour and 3 minutes. The first room, the guy handed us a basket with 2 mics and a remote and left. The TV wasn't on and neither was the system that hooked up to it. The TV wouldn't connect to the system so we had tog o in search of someone to help, only for him to come in and say, "Oh, I don't know, let me go get someone." So he left and comes back with someone who proceeds to tell us it's broken and moves us to a second room. AGAIN, they don't check that everything is working or ask us if we need help and just leave, THEN the remote wont connect to the system and so I have to again go in search of someone. When I finally find them, they come in and check the remote and THERE ARE NO BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE. /fail. anyway, they get batteries and again, leave without checking anything. We then couldn't get the system to switch to English (because they had separate connections for the 3 languages they offer) so I had to go find someone again, and they discover that only the Korean one is working, so move us to a different room. They again try to leave without turning everything on or checking anything, and I finally say, "Could you not leave until everything works? Thanks." To which the guy gives me an annoyed face. SERIOUSLY?! Finally getting everything to work, we finally get to sing for an hour, only to find that they wanted to charge us for over 2 hours! Of course I argue and the girl says, "Well, I don't know how to change it in the computer," so I had to ASK for a manager to finally get it adjusted.
TL;DR - Customer service is surly, stupid, sucky, and inefficient. Karaoke system sucks balls, songs selection is limited, videos are outdated or missing, the sound is tinny, and the mic screeches.
Purikura:
The booths are new, clean, and fun. They have a good selection of different themed/styled machines. We also got tons of time to decorate since not a lot of people were using the machine. The cost ended up being about $10-$11 a session, though you have to use the Round 1 card with credits and not cash. The quality is really good and instructions are pretty clear even if you don't speak Japanese.
Arcade Games:
Had a variety of racing games, shooting games, and Asian arcade games. A little pricey, but fun and worth it. :)
Crane Games:
EVILLLL. XD Paid so much for this bear I got obsessed with, but I got it and that's all that matters.
TL;DR whole thing - Customer service is abysmal, but all the things that don't involve interacting with the people that work there are great, as expected, and fun - if a little pricey.
I hadn't been to the Moreno Valley Mall is over 4 years. I went last weekend, and was super impressed with this place.
This puts Dave & Busters to shame. They have an arcade area with ticket games. They have a bowling alley, ping pong takes and karaoke BOOTHS (that you rent priced on time spend. You do NOT sing in front of a crowd).
It's huge, and there's lots to do. The arcade games are all new, or restored to the highest quality. It's clean.
I went on a Saturday afternoon, and while it was loud, there was lots of energy in the air.
Okay just went to Round 1 for the first time and I am hooked. I loved the way the place looked. It looks like a Dave & Busters but with a bowling alley. The bowling alley has a look similar to the famous Lucky Strike Lanes. Half of the building is dedicated to the games and photo booths and the other half to the bowling, darts and billiards. Oh yeah this place has karaoke rooms too. The prices for the games are very similar to Dave & Busters. Alot of the crane game machines are about 14 tokens ($3.50) but some are 4 tokens ($1). They have regular arcade games that don't dispense tickets and you can play with a time card (prepay for and hour or two) Â or a token card. This place is kid friendly and adult friendly. Its 18 and older after 10pm and 21 and older after 12am. This place closes at 2am everyday of the week. I'm a fan of Dave & Busters but now that this place is here, this will be my go to spot! Bowling is kinda pricey but I think anyone who comes here should get the club card for $5 because you will get discounts every time you load the card with money for games ($10 or more) and for each time you go bowling, play darts, billiards or karaoke. I've only been to this place once but in my one visit I already have 3 stamps. The food was okay no complaints about the taste or the price. You'll either like the place or you won't and most people won't like it because they will say its too pricey but obviously those same people don't like Dave & Busters either.
Review Source:So happy that I don't have to drive to 626 anymore to attend this place. Never really played anything until the other day. Went here over the summer and after the college students left to go back home home. I enjoy the fact that it's open until 2am. My friends and I received a free crane game, but it was definitely a rip off. The security guards were walking around with wristbands carding people after around 10pm. Bowling has this moon light bowling game where you can win prizes when the lights go down. Good vibe, good music, and not crowded.
3 Service: Really amazing service. People walk around asking if you're okay and if you need anything.
3 Price: $10 billards, 5pm-2am. My friends said that it wasn't too bad of a price, so they ended up playing. My friends BF taught me and I played for the first time :) So fun!
5 Drinks: $19 plus tax for a pitcher of Asahi beer. My friend was surprised that they served Asahi, so that was a plus :)
NOTE: Open 10am-2am; 18+ carded after 10pm; 21+ carded after midnight. Located on the 2nd floor. If you need to park, park near Macy's, because they close part of the mall after hours.
Great new place to hang out in MoVal. Â Bowling with huge screen TV's. Â Pool tables, darts, billiards, karaoke, ping pong and arcade. Â I didn't try the food but they have pizza, burgers, hot wings and beer. Â If you want something to do, get some friends and go check it out. Â Let's try to keep it classy, Moreno Valley.
