I love this place! The service here is great and all of the bartenders are very good. The food is delicious and not your typical "frozen bar food". I love their turkey and swiss sandwich (sans bacon) with the honey mustard and their fried jalapenos. As far as I know, everything is made from scratch which I think makes RT's stand out. I also enjoy the crowd. No shady types. Everyone that comes here for the most part is friendly and nice. It can get a little loud at times but who cares if you're having a good time?

We followed Trey from his last bar and every time we go he's friendly and makes sure we never need a thing. We recently moved away from here and so now we only make it out a few times a year. The staff remembers us every time and we never have been disappointed
Review Source:This is one of my favorite bars. The service is the best in Denton- all the bartenders are super friendly and great at what they do. Drink prices are good, too. I love chilling on the patio on a nice night, especially since I know I'll be taken care of without having to go to the bar. Someone is always walking around cleaning up and taking drink orders. I'm also a huge fan of the newer non-smoking section where there's a dartboard, pool and foosball tables, and nice couches in front of a big TV.
When you walk in a bar and multiple strangers high-five you, you know it's a cool place.
Gotta love RTs! Â They put in a new non-smoking sections with some of the most comfy couches you can find. Â This really helps with the spillover from the main room. Â It's also a great way for me to leave the bar without smelling like a complete cigarette after a long night! Â Still a great place to grab a brew and eat some awesome food from the newly updated menu!
Review Source:This is one of my favorite Denton bars. Its a pool hall, restaurant, gaming, and bar combo. RT's is located in an unassuming shopping-center style building. RT's is 21 and up so you'll normally be greeted by a door guy asking for your ID. Most of the time in this area, you have to have your ID regardless of if you are 21 or 61. Denton bars often require a free "membership" to be able to consume alcohol at the establishment.
Inside RT's, you'll find 4 or 5 pool tables, game tops, dart boards, a golf game, shuffleboard, and skee ball. There isn't a waitstaff, so you'll need to go to the bar to order drinks and food. The small, American-food focused menu may not look like much, but RT's has, hands down, the best food Denton. I'll start off with the Trey's Wings. The spicy, BBQ wings come smothered in an amazing house made sauce and covered in melted onions. The Western Burger is a giant, perfectly cooked beef patty topped with BBQ sauce and one, large onion ring. Chips are cooked in house. The jalapeno poppers aren't the frozen ones that are found in so many restaurants. They are large, cheese-stuffed, hand battered, fried peppers served with a side of ranch dressing. And the steak fingers...so good. The only frozen food that exists at RT's is the tater tots. The kitchen closes at 10pm.
The bartenders here are amazing. Service is great. Drinks are reasonably priced. The bar plays important sports games over the TVs and speaker system as well as offering an internet jukebox. You can smoke in this bar. But, rumor has it that RT's will soon be expanding and possibly adding a non-smoking section. There is also a nice, gated patio area equipped with heaters and a game top. There is a good mix of bar patrons at RT's. Even though the bar is a few minutes from two most popular bar areas in Denton, it is worth the trip over there. Go for the food and stay for the drinks.
One of my favorite places to go. Great food, good people. The staff is lots of fun and good people. I go there on game days, even in the day, some days are slow, but it is nice just to sit back and not have to compete with the overwhelming noise. It can get loud in there at times, but it gets fun. Lots of people to talk to and visit with. The crowd is nice. Have a great pool table area and a shuffleboard along with some other bar games. Great shot specials if you like that. I like just sitting back with a Guinness and relaxing after a hard week, and this place you can.
Review Source:Let's just be honest here...no one truly goes to Denton for fine dining.  That being said, Denton is DEFINITELY a good place to go for inexpensive, yet very tasty food  (as most university towns are.)  RT's continues this Denton tradition.
I've been multiple times for libations and eaten here twice. Â The first time I partook in the steak finger basket. Â At the first bite, you know you aren't eating a frozen steak finger, these are definitely made in house with high quality meat. Â The chips. Â Oooooh the chips. Â I highly recommend them. Â Thinly sliced potatoes cooked to perfection, you can't go wrong.
On my most recent visit, I discovered the greatness that is the Chicken Bacon Swiss burger. Â If you've ever had Chili's Grilled Chicken Sandwich and enjoy it, you HAVE to try this sandwich. It puts Chili's to a complete and utter shame. Â I think this may have been the most perfectly cooked chicken breast I've ever had. Â They put it on a fresh baked bun with (perfectly cooked of course) bacon, Swiss cheese, honey mustard and topped with lettuce, onion and tomato. Â Again, served with RT's chips. Â Have it with the adult beverage of your choice and go home happy.
They were close to be a 5-star but the onion rings have left a lot to be desired. Â I'm a huge onion ring fan and theirs were good but VERY greasy. Â Now we all know onion rings are supposed to be a bit greasy but the grease overpowered the O ring. Â After my first visit I chalked it up to a bad night but after my second visit, they've failed to improve. Â But that's okay because the chips kick their ass anyways.
Oh and I recommend sitting outside too. Even when it was 48 degrees we still enjoyed the patio.
Let's just get down to brass tacks, shall we?
Pro:  Good food. Like  Homer Simpson-drooling-out-the-side-of-his-mouth good.  Homemade potato chips actually taste like potato.  Tortilla chips taste like corn tortilla.  Chicken strips better than at any chain restaurants.
Pro: Â TVs absolutely everywhere. Â Great during January, when football, basketball, and hockey are on.
Pro: Â Bar Olympics. Â Not quite sure what this entails, but I'll be there.
Pro: Patrons who actually yell at touchdowns... instead if conversing among their polo shirt wearing, collar popping peers.
Pro: Â Friendly waitstaff. Â The bigger, the friendlier. Â A sure sign good food is near (see Pro #1).
Con: Â None. Â I thought about including "needs more hot chicks", but no, this is perfect. Â Hot chicks normally can't talk intelligent football with ya. Â The hot guys currently on either side of me at the moment, however, can.
