I visited the long awaited Irish Pub a week ago and like another reviewer indicated, I was rather underwhelmed.  The restaurant feels sterile and not at all reminiscent of the Irish Pubs I visited during my trip to Ireland.  Its just a big open dining room - very bright and you can see and hear all your neighbors conversations.  It does not have a warm inviting feeling at all.

I give the food and service a C.  The waitress looked as if she'd been at the job for a day or two, but, she tried very hard so I have to give her credit.

My friend had the fish and chips, which I tried, and thought was very good.  I had a steak sandwich, which although good, was rather small.  The fries are interesting, home made with a seasoning of paprika and sea salt.  Overall they were good.

The bread pudding dessert was a huge disappointment.  When it came to the table it looked like a few dried up chunks of french bread served on a a plate.  Once digging into it, I could not taste the "whiskey sauce" and there really was nothing good about the dessert at all.

I did have a Guiness and a Smithwicks draft, both served up nicely.  They seemed a little warm for my taste, but, I could live with that.

I don't know that I'll be returning.  It just didn't have an Irish Pub feel and the food is nothing to write home about.

I wish them luck though as they are definitely trying!

    Cheers.

Was here last Friday for fish-n-chips which were excellent, but returned for St. Patrick's Day and corned beef and cabbage. The Guiness was flowing and the food was really great! The corned beef wasn't grainy or fatty - it was perfect! While there, a musician started playing the Bagpipe! Certainly not for everyone, but he did an excellent job. It really made this St Patty's a day to remember. Our guests RAVED about the Guiness Stew... Next time!

This restaurant has just opened a couple of days ago, so there's always room for improvement.

The place feels new, probably still is worked on here and there, but it eels good,
The menu is nice and simple, covers the basics for an Irish pub type of place without trying too hard. Appetizers, Fish and chips, beef stew, shepherd's pie, some nice pasta choices, a number of sandwiches and even steak and salmon. Of course, burger and fries is there as well. Kids menu contains pasta, chicken and I think I saw sliders on there as well.

We had the fish and chips (tasty), and a goat cheese salad. Nice light dressing, crispy lettuce, slices of French bread with goat cheese. Goat cheese could have been broiled/charred a bit, but no big deal. The true test is always a Guinness, and they passed with flying colors. For a very drinkable cider, try the Magner's Apple cider, very tasty. Try it with ice on the side, might even be a nice summer drink!

It's got some other beers on tap, not sure if these will change with the seasons, and the usual bud/Miller lite bottles of course.

Nice mix of bar seats, high tables and regular tables, and ample parking.

Runway to Galway is close to the Aurora municipal airport, which might be a nice draw in the warmer months, when 'special' planes visit, such as the B-17, etc.

    I'll be coming back regularly!
