The service was absolutely aweful!  I understand it's a whole in the wall, but service is service! The people were just rude!!

My wife and I were there with another couple and they had a beer each then switched to a Dewars and a white wine.  When the bill came they were charged for 5 Dewars! The owner came over and proceeded to tell my friend that sometimes when people drink they don't remember how many they've had!  I have never seen anything like this in my life!!!  We will never be back, nor will our friends!!

We've lived in the Canton area for over 20 years, and just started to go to the "Nail." Their $3.99 burger and fries special on Saturday is a great deal, especially on football Saturdays. Note: for people who like turkey reubens, it has cole slaw, which I like, but my dinner guest expected sauerkraut. Service is quick and attentive. They have a different special every day of the week. The interior of the bar has a lot of wood, paneling and wood used in their booths, which I'm wondering helps to keep the noise level down. So nice to sit in a bar and be able to hear your dinner guest's conversation without having to raise your voice.

    Cold drinks and good food.

I've been to the "Nail" numerous times and have always come away satisfied. Fish and chips on Friday, $3.99 burger and fries on Saturday (Seriously, best deal around), and some decent drink specials during the week. It's a refreshing change for the chain restaurants and bars on Ford Rd, the only thing I wish was a better selection of draft and bottled beer, no Michigan beers on tap which is really strange since even at those chains you can get a pint of Michigan brew.

2nd time is the charm right? WRONG! Couldn't make up my mind so I figured I'd stop in for some of the fish n chips I've heard so much about. Unfortunately, if it's not Saturday they're not on the menu. They do however have a $3.99 burger & fry special, which might have been tempting if I could get past what smelled like raw sewage. Truly, the inside of the place tonight smelled like a warm outhouse.
Top it off with less than enthusiastic service and the deal is sealed. I'm off to find food elsewhere, and I won't be back.

Pretty nice for a "hole in the wall." There music selection was pretty bad though. I am sure this place used to be blazed with smoke before the smoking ban. The ceiling tiles are tanned with tabbaco. service was very friendly though.

A decent neighborhood bar on Ford Road in Canton. As far as I know there are very few neighborhood type bars in this area as most places are the big chain variety.

I`ve only been there once but it agreed with me.The cheeseburger and fries were good and the beer was cold. The bar was clean and well kept up and the barmaid was friendly.Lot`s of flat screen TVs to keep you entertained.

Definitely a "hole in the wall" type of bar, but I've been there a few times and have always received great service.  It's a place with lots of regulars, but I've never felt out of place walking in.  You know how sometimes you walk into a "regulars" bar and everyone turns around and looks at you?  That's not this place.  It's usually always a mixed age crowd too.  Food is also good, although just your typical bar food and nothing unique.  Good place to watch a game because they have a lot of TV's and you get a great view no matter where you sit.  So I'd highly recommend you check out Rusty Nail if these type of bars are up your alley.

This bar/restaurant seems to be running a tight ship... Decent service, food looking/smelling enticing (even after just having eaten) trivia, flat-screen TVs littered throughout and specials that are worth a damn. One detail to my dismay really stood out though. For a watering hole with such a tough name, I was expecting a stiff cocktail. Ehhh, not so much. I regret to inform you monsieur (Yeah, so I utilize Casablanca jargon subsequent to dropping slang de Larry David) this ever so tightly run establishment probably keeps a good eye on the pours these days, if not has an auto-measuring bottle pourer.

Rating this place a 3 of 5 crossed my mind due to the janky, mobile booth seat, plethora of cliche townie music (new Country and Kid Rock) available in the electronic juke and weak cocktails of course. I remained calm though and resisted the urge. The fact remains, for what this establishment is purposeful, it certainly is worth the 4.

50¢ Coneys on Wednesdays when you buy any drink. What a steal! Yes I am in a bar with my dad in the afternoon but hey it's a bargain and pretty respectably tasty to boot. Yep they charged my dad a quarter for more onion and me a quarter for some jalapenos but still a total deal!

We also split some decent onion rings. Healthy lunch? Ummmm no. Happily tasty? Yes. Cheap as hell? Check. Congenial atmosphere here with friendly and helpful staff. Looks like a dive outside but you will feel at home once you make it in.

I took my dad here because James has never gotten coneys. I don't mean he hasn't eaten them, I mean he doesn't *get* them, respect them or love them. Therefore James was not invited, no worries he was working and couldn't have cared less. Besides, I have to take my dad out solo style from time to time or he feels left out of my adventures. It gives us a chance to talk about things my mom would not be remotely interested in.

We will both be back. My dad wants to try the quarter priced wings on a Sunday and I can lure James in for buck tacos on a Monday for sure.

From the outside... well, you're not expecting much on the inside, just another dive bar.  But, boy were we wrong!

We went Friday night, and the place was hopping.  Friday fish fry usually brings people out in droves, but that doesn't always mean the fish is good.  Rusty Nail's fish is awesome!

We started with the Pick Three app - 'hot' wings (= breaded wings with hot BBQ sauce on them), mini tacos with cheese (yum!) and potato skins with bacon and cheese (meh).  Nothing comes with sauces, so they $0.25 you to death for sour cream, salsa, ranch, etc.  OK app, especially the tacos, but $10.50 is steep.

Ken had the fish.  Paid $0.75 extra to sub onion rings for fries, but they were good.  As I said, the fish was delicious.  Four thick, flaky pieces.  Not too greasy.  Coleslaw tasted like KFC's (which we like).  $11

I had the French Dip, based on our waitress saying it was all of their favorite.  Nice lean meat, tender bun, flavorful au jus.  Came with potato chips and pickle slices.  Paid extra for a slice of cheese.  $9-ish, I think.

The crowd ran the gamut of 60yo ladies to 20yo apres ski poser wannabes.  Very nice amount of seating, parking, TVs, waitstaff.

I had not been there in nine years. Wow, was I impressed. They now have big screens all over, some with music others with games and news. I ordered the fish and chips and it was very good. The food is much more upscale than I remember. This is definitely not a dive or a hole in wall bar either. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Ever notice how the eastside and downriver areas always seem to have the best hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bars? Well, should you find yourself in Canton and have a craving for a bar burger done right, a reasonably priced glass of the sudds and friendly folks, The Nail is your locale.

I've been going to the Nail for years. It's dark, unpretentious and you'll most likely see the same folks and staff every time you're in. Great burgers cooked to order, generous pours on the mixed drinks (one of the few places I'll order a Long Island Iced Tea) and some pretty good specials.

They have everything from your typical nachos, mozzarella sticks, burgers and sandwiches to some pretty tasty Mexi-merican burritos.

I love their big cushy booths lining the walls, but usually sit at the bar to join in the conversation.

Always solid, always affordable and one of those bars you'd pass a hundred times before you stop in, but once you do, you'll be back.

The Rusty Nail is a classic neighborhood bar. I'd have missed out, not living in the neighborhood, but luckily one of my co-workers once did. We first visited when hanging out with her and some other work friends, but we haven't hesitated to go back. The service is good and prompt, the drinks are exactly as expected and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

I'd definitely recommend the Rusty Nail as a great place to hang-out and unwind. It's the sort of place I'd head to meet a friend and purposely show up a little early, so I'm chilled out and ready to enjoy their company once they arrive.
