All about ethnic cuisines! This restaurant provides great hospitality and I always feel greatly taken care of. Dave, one of the owners, is so sweet and he keeps me coming back. I come to Saaghi for the food which is probably the best part about everything they have to offer at this restaurant. The kabobs are so fresh... prepared by a well experienced chef. You can choose from chicken, lamb, or koubideh( ground beef with delicious spices), which is so good. The Ethiopian food is my favorite; the veggie combo, and the lamb tibs is the best combination for a dinner out, there is so much food you can't even finish the plate .I love to hookah here too at night(fresh flavors, clean Hookahs), and I love coming to Saaghi on weekend nights when they bring in a Dj and even Belly dancers. I have never been disappointed with my service and I don't believe I ever will be. Team Saaghi
Review Source:Came in on a Sat night. I had the grilled veggies w/ rice and the Mast-o-moosir yogurt dip, both were yummy. BF had a meat dish and he loved it too. Not sure why such negative reviews. Service was friendly and food was good. Would come back again. Honestly the neighborhood isn't shady. The plaza it's in is a bit rundown, but not shady.
Review Source:The AYCE here is a bargain.
Your choice of one kabob: chicken or beef. While your kabob is being grilled on an open fire, help yourself to at least six different kinds of Persian stews.
A saute of kidney bean with spinach and other spices is hearty and nourishing. Â The red lentil stew with dried limes is yummy and when you bite into a dried lime, the slightly salty lime-ness hits home. This dish is supposedly known to lower cholesterol. Also, tried a stew of yellow squash and zucchini; it was very good.
And they have Shirazi salad and a standard salad of sliced tomatoes and onions.
Grab some flat bread too.
$8.95 is a super deal for middle eastern food.
For the money, imho impossible to beat.
Thanks Saaghi Saba!
Customer service: fine.
Decor: ok, a few middle eastern paintings can be seen on the walls.
Cool persian beats gently pulsate in the background. Fahrzi is gently heard too.
