I was meeting some one here and thought I forgot my cowboy hat and boots. No matter I still went in. :)
I was greated right away. The girls are really nice here and love to joke with me. That was a plus! I was not sure what to order but she told me of the 1 tacos. I jumped on that.
When I got the chicken taco I was again in shock. It was great. I loved it and orderd 4 more. How could I not!
They had a live band playing that night and I was like what a cool place to drink and have a good time. I will come back if I am in the area.
Thanks ,
Saddle Sore Eatery & Saloon for a really nice time!
I brought a group of people (9 of us) to hear my friend's band (the Hollywood Wranglers) play on Saturday night. Â This was the first visit to the Saddle Sore, for most of us. Â I thought it was a fun place, and was very happy with the food & drink prices!
It's fairly large, with a nice stage & dance floor at one end, and some tables & bar stools , a bar, and 3 pool tables. Â There was a good crowd, and they taught some different line dances before the band went on. Â Lots of people dancing, and enjoying the music and the band!
I had the special, which was BBQ Brisket w/mashed potatoes & gravy, mixed veggies, and Texas Toast, for $9.99! Â What a great price, and the food was pretty darn good. Â I had a couple margaritas, YUM, and only $3.75! Â Our server (I wish I had gotten her name) was excellent, and very attentive. Â Everyone had a great time, and I may have to try to learn to country dance, because it looked like so much fun.
Parking here is kind of limited. Â I arrived early and it was already almost full. Â If the bar was packed, I don't know where the over flow parks, but maybe there is a lot next door or something. Â My only other critique is that the sound system didn't sound that great. Â I wanted to hear the lead singer (my friend) much more than I could. Â I don't know if it was the quality of the equipment, or the settings done by the sound guy, but I was disappointed to not be able to hear her like I wanted to.
Only been here during the day a couple of times, chicken nachos were phenomenal, drinks were just okay. It was fun to play some pool and I love the area. How cool is it that you can ride your horse here? I think children are allowed during the day with a parent, but I don't really see how it's kid friendly since when the music is on, it's so loud you can barely talk, and it's a dimly lit  and small place... not a childrens atmoshphere, just an FYI.
On my first time here, some drunk cowboy came in and started making a ruckus, a verbal fight ensued and then the cowboy took off on his horse. Not much of a scene, but pretty interesting for a first time visit. I left right after that and saw the police had detained Wild Bill, down the street. Those crazy cowboys! Love it!
