Elephant Bar Restaurant

only sat here for the happy hour so didnt eat the food. From the past experiences on the food its like any other bar food. Nothing special.  But when you drink its bad ass!  Im giving this place a 1 star because of how slow the damn service here is.  Listen i dated a waitress before so i know how it is to be swamped and stressed out by customers wanting their food or drinks.  So i am very patient when it comes to this. We sat in the patio area and we were the only ones there so that also passed my mind that it might be slow.  But it took 15 mins for someone to come out.  And in the 10 min mark i went inside and tried to order from the bar tender.  She said sorry you have to order from the waitress.  But i can start making your drink now if you want.  I was like "yea".  Went outside and sat back down and said the drinks should be coming any minute.  Its being made as we speak.  Waited, waited and then the waitress came out just to mention the drinks are on the way.  WTF! ok sat down, and another 5 mins passed and then the drinks came.  Listen the bartender and the patio door and we sat right outside the patio door are no more then 10 steps away.  so its not like a long ass trek.  OK so the drinks came, and i felt like i had to order one right away because of the delay.  But i laughed it off and said to myself "nah it cant happen again"  well it did.  shit so for the 3rd drink i walked in and told the bartender that i need to order from you because this lady is just to damn slow.  Keep in mind an hour had already passed and i was only on my 2nd drink.  It was a shot of whiskey so even after an hour im not even remotely buzz'd.  She said the same thing.  Ok then i said please have her come out there.  She did about 3 mins later and i ordered a 3rd shot.  Friend called and she wanted a glass of wine.  Told the waitress after i walked in to place my order.  she said no problem.  Friend came, we sat and im not kidding on this, waited 15 mins and nothing came out.  i ordered this drink while our friend was finding parking at the tyler mall and anyone whos been there knows its not an easy place to find parking in the evening.  So i walked in there and told whoever was in the counter to close out my account now and cancel that order of wine.  of course as soon as i said that they gave me my wine.  I said to them "listen i dont care what you do with that glass of wine but im not taking it and diff not paying for it"  closed out my account and went to eat sushi.   As you see by this long ass rant it still bothers me.  If you're busy its ok.  i understand but Ms. bartender dont tell me to wait for my server.  Just give me my order and have her ring it up.   Like any other bar who cares about pumping out the liquor.  or this bad taste in the mouth will be passed on to other customers.  And your rating on this location will get lower then what it is already.

I ate there during lunch. The server, Scott, was so great about getting everyone's food and drinks as quickly as possible due to the time constraint. I absolutely loved it!

Better fire grills and wok places then this place. Mongolian beef was good, but the side veggies were more of the broccolini stumps versus the florets. Bring a flash light to dinner because the dimmed lighting is super dim. Its nice to see the person you came to dinner with. Our server top P.O.S, our hostess top notch-should have given her the tip. First visit, last visit!
