This is a review of their sister restaurant, Stella, which isn't on the map yet. Waited a while for food, since they were a little under staffed. The beat salad was a little plain, but only because the other dishes, the tomato soup and the stuffed dates, were exceptional. To finish off, the veal and eggplant entree was great. We ate as a couple and had three starters, a main, and a desert, and we were perfectly satiated.
Review Source:Great small restaurant in Ventnor. Â My wife and I went for dinner and were seated 5 minutes after our reservation. Â Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Â I had the Salt Ayre Salad for an appetizer and my wife had a cheese dish which she enjoyed. Â For our main course she had the Sole and I had a hamburger. Â Both well cooked and delicious. Â Overall a nice BYOB, we will definitely return.
Review Source:Wow, what a strange visit.
Lips and I walk in during a magnificent summer night. Small place, very small place.
There are a few tables empty. It's early maybe 8pm.
The hostess asks us if she could help us? Sure, a party of two , please.
She stares at us, and says, "the kitchen is backed up and we're closing."
What? Â There is maybe 14 people in the whole place! Â It's in the summer, early and you're closing? You're backed up? I've cooked for more people myself and you're backed up? Yikes, what good impression this was, NOT!
Prediction...will be a new name next year. Â
Total swing and a miss.
4.3-4.5 really enjoyable simple bistro
Went to the place Friday night 7/20/12. Live in Marven Gardens so we walked over.
Comfortable and easy experience, excellent food., fairly priced. Great addition to the Margate/Ventnor dining scene. BYO.
Perfect fresh baked bread.
Great service. Delicious salad.
Fantastic burger and fries.
Pasta dish was superb.
Desert crepe was but served cool, please serve the crepe warm. Many more items to try on the menu. Specials looked good.
Leslie-- they just opened, wait before you review a place--duh.
Ric-- what are you talking about dude?
My husband and I were excited to try this new restaurant. What a disappointment. I ordered a wedge salad and my husband had the caeser salad to start.  His was small and mine had no taste, literally a wedge of iceberg and barely anything else including dressing.  Our main courses were the lobster and gnocchi americane which I had and my husband the oxtail.  Both came out in the same type of dishes literally just thrown in with no presentation. They both tasted plain.  We were  offered the dessert menu and decided to share a piece of apple cake, which we were told was served warm with ice cream.  The cake was cold with a slab of ice cream on top. For the cost of $7.00 we could have bought a cake at the market and had a better piece. The entire time we were there the lights kept flickering off and on.  Not once during thr meal did any of the waitstaff come over to check on us.
