We were just married here and it was fabulous. Â The planner, Jennifer, was very thorough and detail-oriented which made for a very UNstressful wedding experience, especially planning from out-of-state. Â The staff is used to weddings and know how to make everything work.
Salt Creek bent over backwards to make sure the meal was ready on time, greeted the cake "lady", even provided a caramel apple bar for us.
I would pick Salt Creek a million times over and would highly recommend the venue for other brides.
I had my wedding weekend here and I cannot say enough good things about it. From the rooms, to the setting, to the people, to the food, it was fantastic! Jennifer, the planner we worked with, was amazing and made sure we did not have to worry about anything. The staff set up all our tables and chairs for us, a huge stress relief when you have a ton to do! When we got to our rooms a few days before the wedding, I was beyond impressed. The condos were so nice and roomy, and everyone who stayed commented on how comfortable they were. Since we had our rehearsal dinner at Salt Creek as well as the wedding and reception, we were able to begin decorating the reception space well in advance. That was a major plus.
The food at the rehearsal dinner was so delicious. Everyone loved the stuffed mushrooms and the spinach and artichoke dip. Then I had the prime rib -- awesome!
On my wedding day, they let us use a huge room with tons of mirrors and seating for our dressing room. It was absolutely perfect. Then the day ceremony and reception ran so smoothly. Everyone has told me it was the best organized wedding they've ever been to. And the grounds are STUNNING. It was the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony on the deck, and our photos on the course look fantastic. The reception room is so beautiful with a great view of the course and forest.
I would recommend this place to anyone. My husband and I will be back for mini-vacations and anniversary trips too. We loved it!
I love this place! Â I always look forward to a relaxing weekend away at Salt Creek. Â Nashville is in Brown County which is BEAUTIFUL - especially in the fall. Â If you go there in the fall then book ahead. Â We like to go down to Salt Creek and rent a condo- yes . . condos! Â They have kitchens, washers and dryers, etc. Â All the condos are pretty new construction and very nicely decorated. Â They have patios or balconies that overlook the golf course. Â It's so peaceful and relaxing. Â They also have a great pool which makes it a fun family place. Â
The restaurant - The Brown Co. Steak and Seafood Company- is AMAZING. Â They have awesome steaks and I've had their lunch salads. Â You can tell that they definitely cater to the Bloomington crowd- their food is way above "par". Â They have a full bar- watch out, the bloody marys will get ya. Â They are spicy. Â Also they have a casual bar/ grill downstairs by the pro shop called The 19th Hole. Â It's more like a sports bar where you can grab a sandwich. Â At night, there's no need to go into "town"- the 19th Hole is a hot spot- they have poker tournaments and karaoke BABY!! Â Hah. Â We've had a lot of fun there.
I don't even golf and we go down to Nashville just to get away at Salt Creek. Â I can't recommend it highly enough. Â Make sure to book early if you want to stay there or eat there.
