  The buffet.  I suppose I have my own amateur typology of pizza, Sammy's is filed under "pizza where the cheese/toppings slide effortlessly off the crust."  For this to happen, it has to be a thin, fairly rigid crust.  Ironically, the most non-traditional of pizza's, the chocolate pizza, did by far the best job of retaining its toppings (the apple pie version didn't fare as well).
  
  We were there to celebrate a birthday, and our server kept asking the birthday boy if he wanted a free dessert, but he kept putting her off until her third attempt, when he ordered vanilla ice cream.  Then went to the bathroom.  She came out a few minutes later with about 15 candles burning down, and no birthday boy.  We blew out the candles and she generously took it back to redo it.  He returned and she brought it out, as the melting wax merged with the ice cream.  Given the fiasco, we forgot to sing happy birthday.
  
  Sammy's has done a total remodel recently, and I enjoyed it, as I did the wings.
