The Score Bar & Grill

Really!  If there was a spot for no stars this place would get it!  Been here a few times and this last visit was my LAST!  

Where do I start?  Lets start with the service.  Awful is the best term I can use here.  We started off with one waitress and she then handed us of to the other waitress which neither one helped us.  We ordered food and it took over an hour to get it.  After numerous attempts to ask where our food was the manager came over and said that he lost the first 2 tickets and that it would be right up.  Our first waitress came back shortly after that and said that the manager would be comping the food.  Food finally came but not all at the same time.  One meal then the next would come out.  Really?

After we finished what they call food we asked for the bill and there was no Comp. when the manager was asked why it wasn't he said the waitress had no right to say that.  When I told him that she said the manager was going to do that he kept giving excuses on what was wrong that day.  Upon finally getting bill figured out I told him that would be our last time there.  He began to argue with me about that comment.  I guess the customer is not always right at The Score bar and grill.  But I have to say this it wont take many other people to have that type of experience and the doors will close.

One last thing before I sign off.  The prices for the food is outrageous.  For example 11.99 for Nachos?  There were not many items under 10 even for a burger or a burrito.  An Italian sausage sandwich for 10.99 really?  So just be fair warned if you decide to visit this place.

It's kind of hard not to like a place that has Avery's stamp of approval (at least he's willing to work there). I have to wonder though after eating here when it was a Greek place, and eating here now if it's not the same business owner.

My husband and I decided to try this place out during the week around dinner time. I ordered a burger, and my husband ordered chicken tacos. His meal looked pretty decent actually... my burger was just ok. I ordered it cooked medium-well and it was pretty much just well. There was no medium about it.

The toppings on my burger (avocado & bacon) were really tiny. I mean, it was fine, but there was like... one strip of bacon and two little slivers of avocado so small that you wonder if there's really any point in even putting it on your burger. The fries that came with my burger were almost exactly like the potatoes that were served at the Greek restaurant... just a little larger, without this red seasoning and a little undercooked.

The only "server" in the place when I was there was the bartender who was very on top of things even though we weren't sitting at the bar.

I didn't order an alcoholic beverage so I can't really speak to the prices and quality of their drinks. It looks like they have a variety of things that go on during the week. As far as the price of the food on their menu is concerned I think it's about average.

Great burgers and bar fare in a very neighbourhood-type location! Pool tables and live music regularly, makes this more than just a sports pub with a killer kitchen!
