In the area every few weeks and usually stop for a hot dog at the driving range, but decided on Scotts today. Â What a MISTAKE! Â The hot dogs were small, overcooked and awful. Â Usually I have mustard and onion (bc Im a purist), but decided today on the Coney Island sauce. Â SECOND MISTAKE! Â Bun was bigger than the hot dog - not a good sign. Â
Overpriced, too. Â
Would not go back.
Spring has sprung and with that, the return of the food trucks. Now located at the top of Route 169 between LaMountain's Service Station and Diversified Signs, I have visited twice already this week. I should also mention that they have ditched the trailer for a truck, see the posted pic.
Tuesday, I stopped for some hot dogs with my daughter. For $8.75 we split a hot dog special (2 dogs, a bag of ships and a can of soda) and a chili n cheese dog. The best part is they use actual cheese, not crap in a can.
Wednesday morning, found me back again. This time it was for a back for breakfast , a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. If I'm going to get a breakfast sandwich on the run, I'd rather have freshly made then microwaved. My sandwich was hot, it was fresh and it was delicious. I apparently timed it right, as the bakery truck had just dropped off fresh rolls, and you could certainly taste the fact.
I got to chat  with Liz and Scott, I learned that not only do they serve breakfast, they serve it throughout the day. I may be in trouble, as I pass here on a daily basis. I still have not tried their burgers or sandwiches, but that will change at some point.
