Horrible Food.
The only "Sports Bar" in Ventura County with no High Definition TV.
Read that: No HDTV!!!!

No security nor any policy to prevent trouble nor to kick troublemakers out. Well known and bad people take advantage of it.
Creepy regulars. Find them on the Megans law websites.
No place for a girl with any character or self worth.

Season Ticket is a good candidate for Bar Rescue, Kitchen Nitemares or Restaurant Impossible.
Owners are stubborn to improvements or change. They don't want to hear it, and they won't kick the creepy assholes out.

They rotate chefs through the kitchen, but then insist the chefs cook the failing ways the owners tell them too. The owners just don't get it. Tough nuts to crack. Hopeless.

Entertainment several nights a week but beware of the punk bands that also bring violent customers. In addition to the other security problems, you will be hassled by them too and that ain't good. Owner knows it and books them anyway.

High ratings are from band members.
Owners have no clue what they are doing.
Go elsewhere.

My lunch buddy and I drove to a different place, and discovered that it doesn't actually serve lunch. Downhearted, but not defeated in our lunch quest, we got back in the car and headed back towards work looking for a place to eat. We pulled into this strip mall and walked over to the two restaurants we knew about. Pizza Place, and Sushi Place. As we walked towards them, this place revealed itself to us. I wasn't really feeling Pizza and Sushi's not really my thing, so I opted for the third option...bar food.
We walked into the darkened place and looked for people after our eyes adjusted. There was one other person at the bar, and she was talking to the bartender. I asked about the procedure, and she came over and asked what we'd like to drink. We both opted for iced tea. When she came back with the iced tea, she took our orders. She was friendly, and helpful. Eager to please.
There was a row of televisions surrounding the place. I was facing one that was playing Bones, my buddy was facing one that was playing Chew...the chew....some cooking thing. Adding illumination to the place was a lamp that hung over a pool table, and a pair of golf video games. The rest of the place had tables, and the bar.
The menu is fairly small, with a couple of sandwiches, and a load of fried things. I eyeballed the Fried Sampler, but my buddy guilted me into getting something healthier. (I've been kinda on a pseudo-eating-healthy kick recently) So I changed my order to a grilled chicken sandwich. He went with the Chef Salad. (He's normally healthy like that) As the bartender left with our order, we both picked up our iced tea and took a sip.
This was some of the most god-awful iced tea I have ever had. I thought to ask them if they had forgotten a dead cat in the iced tea pitcher, but felt that would have been rude. The bartender was very friendly, and nice. We sat for a bit chatting about the weather, the weekend plans, and the work back in our cubes. Suddenly, from behind the bar I hear somebody shout out; "How do I make the chicken sandwich again?"
We continued our discussion about random stuff, and after some time, an elderly gentleman came out with our food in his hands and arms. He was very friendly and worked very diligently to carry everything all out in one trip. I had to take my plate over to the pool table to get a picture of the food. It's very dark in there. We began to eat. My chicken sandwich was just that. He prepared a chicken breast, and stuck it between some toast. No seasoning, no taste beyond the chicken. My buddy's salad was massive. Deli Meats, cheeses and vegetables and all sorts of things were piled up in a big heap on his plate. A cup of vinaigrette salad was placed next to the pile of salad. He said it was pretty good.

So, the people were nice, the place was functionally sound, and the food was just about palatable. From what I'm reading here, I guess it's a super great terrific awesome bar to hang out at and to get totally plastered at later on, but it's a pretty terrible place to get lunch at. Lunch was $22 after tax & tip. Not too bad for two lunches I suppose. But still, more than likely I won't be back.

Ive played at The Season Ticket with my band, No Small Children, a few times. We found the people that work there and the people that go there very friendly, especially noticable since we didnt know anyone at first and right away found it very welcoming. I had THE BEST CHICKEN STRIPS EVER!!! They really were amazing. We love this place and the graciousness of its patrons and staff.

Stopped in at this quaint bar the other day. We were surprised at how roomy it is. Pool tables, video games, music, tables, a bar and plenty of TV's. It would be hard to get bored here. The owner(Kevin) was there and waited on us. Our drinks were constantly topped off and the food we ordered was great! I think we will go back to try their weekend breakfast but will for sure be lured back just for the cheddar bites!

As a musician, I played the Season Ticket in the past and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, especially the people that run the club. The experience has always been friendly. The food always looked awesome too.

I am looking forward to playing at the New Location. SEASON TICKET: 5710 E Los Angeles Ave, Simi Valley, CA 93063-5217.

My band POWERTRIBE will be playing there at the new location actually on Wednesday Night (Oct 24th, 2012) at 8:00pm. I believe there will be live music (bands) starting from that time, if not earlier. If you are wondering whether you should come out, you can hear some music at http://reverbnation.com/… and decide for yourself. After the show, I will come back and give a fuller review.

All I can say is that if the same people are working there, it should have that same friendly vibe and cool people.

Season Ticket isn't going to win any awards for fashion, but the people are cool, the food is great and the drinks are cold! My band plays there every month or so, and it is usually the same crowd hangin' out, but they are good folks. Kevin has really cleaned the place up and the waitstaff and bartenders are super friendly and cool. I can't toot my own horn, but most of the bands he books are pretty great; not your typical out-of-tune bar bands.
Try the ticket nachos and/or burgers.... awesome.

I love what Kevin and company have done with the place. The bar has taken a whole new look. It's lighter and people go there to have fun. I seldom see any problems or drama. Good people, good music, good times. What more do you need?

I'm just gonna state the obvious for all those who wrote a bad review for this place. IT'S A DIVE BAR! It's not a restaurant, not a bar and grill, I really wouldn't even consider it a sports bar if they don't pay for the PPV fights and games. It's just a dive bar. So if you're looking for fresh food and a young trendy crowd don't go to a dive bar in Simi Valley of all places! You're gonna have to drive out to Hollywood for that. Seriously, It's kind of a no brainer here.

They get my 5 stars for cold cheep beer, strong coctails, damn good live music, the bartender who kept an eye out for me when the creepy guy was hitting on me, and the super clean bathroom. A clean bathroom in a dive?...now that's a shocker!

I went in on a Wednesday night which is their Jam night. The guys that host the Jam are REALLY good musicians. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed just for the enjoyment of good music. So what if they're not young, hip, up-and-commings...they can really swing the blues and they're cool enough to let a beginner like me to sit in for a couple of tunes.

Now that's a good dive bar if you ask me!

I've read the reviews and I've been a friend of this lil dive bar since it opened and I knew the 1st owner. My sis and her hubby frequented it when I moved away and still do, so I go and depending on who's tendin bar and who's band is playing it's a good night, for a dive bar what do you want? You can play pool on one of two tables, you can get drink specials pretty much anytime you're there and someone mentioned the fried food? My favorite fried food there is the jalapeno poppers, they're delicious, very BIG and NOT spicy at all. During Football season it can get a tad loud, but what bar doesn't get loud? Tuesdays is my new favorite night to go, cuz the DJ blasts out new hip hop r and b and some old school funk, 80's and rock too! So see ya next Tuesday?
UPDATE: 1/25/12 - The DJ is no longer there, but they did add Karaoke on Tuesdays, and it's funny to see and hear, actually have some decent singers too. Thursdays is now 'showcase' nite, where new upcoming bands can show there stuff.

I went here expecting the worse as I've had to walk by to shop at either the Vons or Rite Aid in the same center. Was invited by a friend who knew the DJ that night. About 6 of us were there and I actually enjoyed myself. Yes, there were drunk characters there, but since I was surrounded by family and friends that's what made it fun. The drinks weren't overpowering and the fried food was okay. I'm not sure how the prices were as my daughter paid for me that night. Woo Hoo!!!

I stopped by once to meet a lady friend... We didn't mesh with the crowd to say the least.

Biker trash and their plus sized saddle bag style women. The bartender was really cool (Mark I think?) and the drinks weren't bad, but the place is just creepy. The bartender actually told me he was trying to get her drunk for me.... which is funny the first time, not the fifth.

I give it an extra star because I love dive bars, and well, it has all of the necessary attributes: weird homey bartenders, patrons that look like they've had a lot of hard times, but would stick you for fun, and a drink selection that you could find at a buddy's house in a decor that resembles a 60 year old smokers house 10 years after all his family gave up on him. Hmmmm Jack and coke or a shot? Tough call.

Affectionately nicknamed the "Sleazin' Ticket". Words do not describe. HOW ridiculous this place is.

Went with QUITE the lively group last weekend - this group knows how to have a good time and how to make light of shit situations. First of all. Take a look around: there are NOTHING but old, washed up white people here. With long frizzy hair and jeans that very OBVIOUSLY don't fit.

Apparently there was a cover band playing that night... They took literally 3 hours to set up. I am just going to be modest and not give examples. I am mentally going over how to put these scenarios and how I will word everything... and it's all just really inappropriate, crude and mean. Just take my word for it and party elsewhere.

OH! And they only accept cash. WHY! I don't carry cash. EVER! Are you ASKING to get robbed?? Get with the times. It's 2thousandfk'n10.

(Okay- I'll give them this. Since I always try to see the upside of every situation: There is a drink special during 'happy hour' of 10pm-2am: Any mixed drink with Rockstar energy drink for only $3. That's a damn steal. If I am ever depressed and broke, I'll be getting drunk with all of the local burnouts for $3 a drink.)

Clean place, New Owner, has cleaned up the place and added food service.
If you order food they will accept credit card, but if all you only with to drink it is cash only.
Several new large flat screen TV

A.K.A "The Speeding Ticket" This place is in a shopping center next to a Rite-Aid, and is a dive, but is clean and safe. They get really busy during football season, and they have great hair bands on the weekends.

The patrons are your usual dive locals, and the bartenders seem to have been hanging out there for years. The drinks are always good.

There are not many bars to choose from in Simi Valley, so for what the town has to offer, the bar is what it is. Not much to write home about.
