Simply put, I lived in Senunas for the final 2 ish years of my college career (Wink wink). Looking for a good place for a good beer and a chat with the bartender, than keep walking. Looking to pick up a Catholic girl, come on in. Cheap beer, good guys and gals from the local college and a overall fun time after 11 on a weekend.

When I say I grew up in Senunas, I literally mean I grew up in it! My grandmother was best friends with Helen Senunas, the proprietor and would often take me there while she visited with Helen. I have very fond memories of eating hotdogs from the grill, and Helen's little dog (Missy????)  and her apartment in the back of the bar, that we always entered through the bar.

Senunas was also a rite of passage for any King's College students. Quarter(or was it $.50??)  beer nights on Thursday night, hanging out and having a drink with your favorite professor, lunch in between classes. Senunas' was the place to be. Back when I was in college, we went to the original location which was located across the street from where it is now, part of the Margarita Apt. Building. The current location was Charlies Market which is also tied to my childhood. The old Senunas' was a small dark, hole in the wall college bar. The new Senunas is a bright, modern, large college bar. It is still owned by John Senunas and managed by long time bartender Dave Scherbenco-  and the old bar and many signs and memorabilia  were moved over to the new location. While I liked the old Senunas for sentimental reasons, the new bar has much more to offer! They now have a pool table, booth seating, and a larger menu that includes wings, pizza and fries. Get the volcano fries! They are to die for!
Even thought this is still mostly a college bar, we still stop by a few times a year. Our sons school also holds fundraisers here that we always attend.

ON weekend Senunas also features live music with various local bands and musicians. It can get loud if your an old fart like me, but I'm sure the college kids enjoy it.

It's a bit quieter in the summer or early in the evenings and they are also open for lunch .

They lose one star because smoking is permitted and I can't stand being in a smokey environment.
