We stopped here after a long drive from Seattle. It's your typical small town diner. The decor consisted of LOTS of heads and horns hung on the wall. I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Tera, the owner's daughter was so sweet and attentive. We really enjoyed her and she made our visit. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was tasty. Side salad was a little to be desired. It was iceberg lettuce with too much cheese. We watched Tera make a Bloody Mary as we were leaving that looked like it could rival the best out there (we didn't order one though). They advertise that they make their own BM mix. There is a massive 2 pound hamburger on the menu. We weren't quite that hungry but give it a try if you are!
Review Source:The food is good diner fare, especially for breakfast, but prices are too high for what you get. Â Asked for extra crispy hashbrowns which translated to burnt on the top and mashed potatoes underneath. Â The breakfast sandwich was falvorful but a little too greasy.
There are repeated reminders about additional charges for split plates, substitutions, and to go orders. Â We substituted something that was much cheaper than the original item and were charged extra!
Overall, good food, a bit pricey with emphasis on additional charges.
Bad coffee and the menu tells you over and over how they charge extra for splitting, an extra plate, and to-go orders. Decor and ambiance is that expected of a small town diner. TV playing some daytime Judge Judy type show a little too loudly in the background. Not what you want when dining. Overall, not impressed.
Review Source:A cheeseburger the size of a pizza? Â That is a good thing? Â Well said by a person who probably has an ass the size of a dodge ram.
I've never been so ripped off in my life. Â Their "Mother's Day" buffet was $20 a person!!! Â The food was cold, the deserts were from Winco, their potatoes au grautin were from the box!?!?! Â This place has 4 stars?!?!?! Â The people were average nice, but seriously who rips people off on mother's day?!?! Â Where do these people get off? Â
The barn restaurant in prosser was bad, but Shady Mountain Grill takes the winco pie for worst restaurant for breakfast. Â I swear there has to be another good breakfast place around besides Sterlings........
Steer clear of this place if you respect yourself...........
Delicious food and excellent service. Always kept our coffee full and had generous portions. I was envious of my girlfriend's delicious Belgium waffle, but I was still content with my pancakes. Breakfast is served until 2 PM, and we ate on a Sunday.
The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the prices were a bit high for breakfast. Still worth the visit.
Shadow Mountain (yelp, you spelled mountain wrong) is the best spot in the Tri Cities area for breakfast. Â Any meal is good here. Â The service is fast and best of all friendly. Â This is a family owned and operated restaurant. Â Kelly and her family make everyone feel welcome. Â Where else can you get a hamburger the size of a large pizza?
Review Source:Quite average diner with sub-standard interior, mismatched chairs, and really weird wall decorations. The only thing exceptional is how expensive everything is! The burgers are decent but overpriced. Breakfast is also okay, but nothing special. They do serve Bloody Marys now, which is great. I remember those being pretty good, but costing seven or eight dollars. The price to ambiance/food quality ratio will likely surprise most people who happen upon this place from out of town. Tip: they do have a cheeseburger basket special which is not on the menu. It costs $4.99 and includes fries. It's the best deal I have found at this place. If you try to add anything like bacon to it, be warned: it costs a lot more.
