If you live in Mint Hill or close by and want to have a beer and play some pool, this is a fun little place. It's not what I'd call cozy or nice-looking, but the people who work there are nice, there are several pool tables that are all in decent shape (better than some uptown pool tables I've played at), a corn hole set, and dart boards - so all you need! And the best part: Playing pool costs somewhere between zero and three dollars (it seems to change sometimes, but recently when I've gone it was always free). I've heard people say pool bars on Independence charge 11 dollars an hour.
This place serves basic bar food (have not tried it so can't say how it is) and bottled beers (no taps). They have the whole domestic selection, Woodchuck Cidre und Newcastle (no local/craft beers). Again, wonderfully, Newcastles and Woodchucks are only $3.50 a bottle, on a Friday, so I assume that is their regular price, not a special. Uptown charges 5 dollars for a Newcastle.
EDIT: It has happened twice now that we picked songs on their jukebox (which costs money) and the staff forwarded through half of our songs. That just lost them a star. Sorry, Sharky's! Maybe bite the bullet with some songs not to your taste and don't anger your customers in the future.
