Chicken teriyaki is one of my favourite dishes; I definitely did not enjoy the almost left-over, mushy look to the chicken and the teriyaki sauce was unpleasant. From the second I walked in, during lunch, I didn't enjoy the process: you order before you sit down and they bring it to you in styrofoam containers (without napkins or utensils). Service was non-existent and the feel wasn't very welcoming.
Review Source:Went to Shoji's in Medford for a birthday party; very large group with everyone ranging from small children to retirees (being me). Â This is a very good venue for such a thing, as our party took up two whole cook stations! Â As others have mentioned, the service is fairly slow, so there is plenty of time to have a beverage or two. Â The food is plentiful and all of it is cooked on a large grill in front of you. Â A lot of it consists of fried rice and bean sprouts, which is cooked first. Â Your choice of a meat or fish comes along later, sometimes a lot later. Â The cook has a good selection of jokes and if you have a good one, this can be entertaining ; especially to someone who has not been there before.
